I feel the same way about the crowding. The major thing that I will echo is you CAN NOT ramp into her and expect her to survive. I do however believe that a midrange BUG control deck can survive with her in it.

Talking Thoughtseize, Abrupt Decay, Ashiok, and then her it feels like it has better flow even if you are playing only one threat per turn.

Which brings up the point that she doesn't feel all that great unless you have a board wipe spell to let you focus on shutting down one creature or the like

You have to animate the land to make the land untap for mana which is possible.

Sprout Swarm + Intruder Alarm is also infinite. A little slower, but dodges most removal and is still bant. Only problem is getting started.

Why not add life and limb? You would be able to tap the saplings for the Convoke payment each time.

I don't know what archtype this would work in but at least it's good as a commander card. I just feel like it very casual. It forces an attack but this is an expensive card to have that doesn't affect the field when it comes into play. One of many cards to come. Hope there is more and better things

The deck just seems like it's a huge gamble. The deck is being ported from the legacy deck which has more backbone but the format doesn't seem like the best fit for the deck at the moment IMHO

it's an infinite life combo with Kitchen Finks and a sac outlet if I understand this correctly. Persist happens and it comes into play with a -1/-1 and then you gain life and the -1/-1 goes away

I like this! It's pretty damn unique and with the early and cheap spells this utilizes so many things and looks REALLY well refined.

(Not going over Naya for obvious reasons)

So now, the "race" is me getting beat in by...mana dorks? while I have apparently not draw any Izzet Charms, Tribute, Rift, or Temblors. Now, even if I don't deal with these horrific monsters of the curve, I can be perfectly fine holding up counter mana until either they play a real threat (which they must do eventually) or I simply have 8 mana.

Against Naya, oh no, I can't Mana Plasm your three drop. Guess I'll just 3-for-1 you with a board wipe instead.

I don't see the reason to purposely ignore the strongest rush deck. Especially since they can have 3 or more guys on the board turn two. That's just being a little overconfident. The plasm Capture is a great card but without a slower tempo the card is just gonna fail to meet your expectations.

If the deck is about ramping up so you can get maniac out and then mirror for zero and draw somehow it's about the same as playing Leveler but you stall for a second. I mean if you can manage to ramp your mana up to drop the maniac and the levelr in one turn and then draw a card all the more power to ya

hurray a wasted enchantment slot. I really wish they just brought back cowardice. It might have made it more fun in standard

So say I have Life from the Loam in my graveyard with a Zur's Weirding out. Can I replace the draw effect that Zur's would cause to dredge the loam back or does the Weirding affect my draw before I can choose to replace it?

I haven't set my list in stone at the moment. I'm currently revisiting some of my previous ideas and sifting through my past ideas. I'm currently trying to see if I can find 2 spots for Grim Discovery, which is essentially a 1BU and one life spell that grabs my crab back from the yard and a fetch but obviously that's not what I would get all the time and with the Snapcaster mage I might get more use out of it.

Currently I am messing with a 3-6 Extirpate 12 mill suite maybe going up to 16-17 to see what I can do defensively against aggressive decks while still making combo a VERY favorable game one.

I just feel that hitting the opponent with mill does give you the chance to mill their answers away but, if you mill cards away and you don't hit their answers it leads to them getting them more often than not.

Dampen Thought is an interesting idea but until you get multiples and if you are trying to make them useful by splicing them it's gonna shift the deck too much away from mill to make it worth the time, in my opinion. My logic behind that is that if we want multiple uses out of it we would need to get ramp, and plenty of arcane spells to splice and cycle, ie Reach Through Mists and Peer Through Depths and then you are looking at 8 spells that dig for the card you want to splice onto. But I just went on a tangent.

I'll post a list when I'm confident in it. I'll try and assemble it soon.

You mentioned that Extraction 4 main was debunked but you also posted that it was a common side in for the deck which I don't want to believe is a contradiction so much as a more effective in a certain field. Combo obviously being VERY weak to a card such as that.

How much of the deck play was spent casting mill spell after mill spell before the opponent won, just barely? I see the 5 board removal but the deck does seem to do a great deal less of interacting with the opponent and playing almost, as a I would call it, suicide mill.

Do you feel the deck could vary enough to cut 8 of the core mill spells and still be able to mill the opponent out but have some defenses in place to shore up some points of weakness? What I'm trying to ask is do you think the deck would have fared better with more defense or is pushing forward in mill the strongest option for the deck?
