- FNM promos will instead be foil double-sided tokens. Also less per store.
- Standard showdown packs include foil land from magic's past (first up is a set of guay lands never before foiled)
- Game day replaced with Store Championship that will happen much later than game day did (near the next set release)
- Open house including full-art promo from upcoming set.
The 5-booster boxes also had an msrp of 24.99, so they at least put this back to the 4-booster price.
But to me over half the value before was in the box + dividers and this just doesn't come close.
Is it no longer a storage box? The picture makes it seem like its not. Thats the only real reason I bought them before. Those foil lands are nice though.
I used the same set of 225 kmc hypermattes sleeves for 2 years on my standard decks (usually have 3 decks sleeved at a time). Only issue with them is the top got wavy (possibly due to being left in my car when its 100+ degrees out, not sure). But they never got grimy or sticky and I never split a single one.
Have the same on my cube which i've been playing for 6 months and they're still like new. My only issue is some dust/dirt seems to accumulate inside at the top of the sleeve. But it wipes right off.
I definitely will...I talked to my mom today and got the ball rolling a little. I'm working on a balsa wood Sopwith Camel airplane model with my dad for right now though, so I probably have to finish that first before I tackle a new project.
(Despite the way it sounds from this post, I don't live in my parents' basement anymore, I live in a totally different state. :P)
Any thoughts about what material to use for the boosters? Cotton is your basic fabric, and definitely cheapest. Satin would probably feel really incredible (and be gentle on the sleeves I would think) but I don't know about how easy it is to work with. Ought to be doable for a pretty simple rectangle project like this I would hope. Canvas would be the most durable for sure, but would also be bulkiest. Once I have a template down I might order a little bit of each and see what looks/feels best.
Not sure what would be best but the two things I would want: The fabric can't be clear/see-through and that the cards go in easily without the corners getting stuck. I've split several sleeves trying to put my sleeved Love Letter game back in the pouch as the corners always get stuck in the fabric. (only time I've ever split a kmc hyper-matte)
Has anybody ever made fabric "boosters" to put the cards into for packs? I'm considering taking on that project this summer.
I've been googling for awhile trying to find someone that could make something like that. I currently use the ultro-pro team bags but after a few uses I need to replace them. Something exactly like the team bags but made of fabric/leather with a magnetic closure would be ideal. Let me know if you end up making something like that.
You are incorrect. FTV products are paper only, as far as I can tell. I have never seen a FTV card on MTGO before, unless this is a new development with this release.
Every FTV has been sold on MTGO.
Dragons was limited to something like 2000 or 5000, once those sold no more were available.
Every FTV since has been an unlimited amount, it's just only onsale for a month or so.
