We all make misplays off camera. Most of us haven't been on camera and don't really know what it feels like -- and of course it would affect different people different ways.
Also, I'm willing to bet we wouldn't notice all the errors if commentators weren't pointing them out. (The commentators also make mistakes.)
There is really no reason to be harsh, call anyone an idiot (or the equivalent). And, it doesn't take a psychology degree to explain why people are quick to be critical and point out mistakes in demeaning ways.
You trying to explain this to a group of people whoms only recourse from the fact they aren't better (if not worse than) the people on the stream, is to berate them.
Stoneblade is not the name of a deck but rather a strategy.
Stoneblade refers to primarily a deck, decks like Maverick, Junk, and Death & Taxes can choose to use a stoneforge package to supplement this, but don't per se need it, in fact, Maverick goes between having a (mostly) full package, to dropping altogether, same thing with Junk (being primarily a good stuffs deck), Death & Taxes, although a big portion of the deck, isn't built around it so much as it simply compliments the strategy and is used anyway (making your clock faster also helps).
Cut inquisition for duress
- Although Inquisition does hit creatures, you want duress primarily for combo matchups, and in those, inquisition can't hit Dream Halls, Enter the Infinite, Sneak Attack, Past in Flames, Ad Nauseam, etc. There are very few creatures that Swords cannot deal with.
- Cannot be misdirection, probably not the most relevant thing, but it's possible
Just to clarify, stoneblade decks are not only the esper. Stoneblade decks are also Death and Taxes, BWG with liliana, vial maverick or mirror maverick. Choosing cards like manriki or tower for your sideboard, depends on your metagame.
Remember children, jamming in X number of stoneforge mystic + jitte means your deck is stoneblade.
So long as people want to play it, it's going to be played
bare in mind, 5 years is a long time in magic, 5 years ago, we had 7 year extended, lorwyn, and lightning bolt hadn't seen print in a set in YEARS, who knows where legacy/modern will be in 5 years, perhaps in 5 years modern becomes the nut high and everyone wants to play it, perhaps Wizards does away with the reserved list.
If you want to play the format now and have people to play with, go for it, if you don't, don't.
she doesn't want to play the format because of goyf. The same thing is true of a lot of people I know.
Lol wut?
Anywho, no they aren't going to ban goyf, they announced modern masters and sold the whole thing on the premise of "it has teh goyfs".
If they were going to ban it, that ship has sailed for the time being, it wouldn't simply reflect poorly on modern, it would reflect poorly on wizards.
Meh, you're lazy and couldn't be bothered to read enough to find your own answer... in the first post even, and are now apparently butthurt when someone pointed that fact out to you. The sentence you're looking for was "Whoops, my bad!" Save the self righteous indignation for something that isn't your own damn fault.
You realize your proving his point by being a complete ****head?
You might be able to get a modern win-a-box going, the GP in houston had two legacy ones fire and weren't listed in the schedule, and from what I understand, so long as you can get eight people, they will sanction it and put prize support up.
and at an event with 3000+ people, if you can't find eight people with modern decks, your not trying hard enough
On a side note, how many times has gush been discussed this year, I stopped checking

Surely you realized your wasting your time, no?
This statement is in the top 5 for most baffling statements I've read on this site.

Null Rod doesn't do anything worth noting.

I keep hearing that rumor too, apparently that's when the programming sets in and we start grinding Modern/Standard PTQs for planeswalker points.
