Edict effects were very popular with black being the predominant color in legacy with DRS. Making multiple factories to fight control decks via stage or to simply have a body to sacrifice was very useful. It's since been cut post-ban.
I've moved mostly to the lands discord at this point, but as of the past couple months I've top 8'ed every Channelfireball $2k and $4k and got 9th at GP Seattle. List feels really solid.
Nice finds on the cube art, thank you! I don't know how I walked right over mana vault.
Anyway are you asking me if I double sleeve?
I think he's asking me.
The majoriy of the collection was acquired, sleeved and toploaded, boxed, bindered whatever pre-2000, before I quit for a time. There were no products available for double sleeving (perfect fit + standard sleeve) at that time. It wasn't for lack of trying though. I used to go to the card shop and sift through penny sleeves looking for any that were under and over cut to make them fit inside each other for my decks, but I couldn't acquire enough of them to sleeve my entire collection that way. As such, top loaders are single sleeved.
Around 1997, '98 or so, sleeve size tolerances got a lot better. New card protection products were even tighter (not quite perfect fits yet). This was based around the idea that a tightly fitting sleeve would keep the opening closed and dirt would be less likely to get in. Double sleeving wasn't an option nor a product yet. If it was, it wasn't widely available yet.
Double sleeving inside top loaders? I wouldn't do it. Looking at charts for polypropelyne, you'll see chlorine is listed as poor resistance. I have to brush up on my chemistry for PVC to see what reactions occur with PP, but do you want to risk it?
Double sleeves are beyond amazing, man. I would honestly just double sleeve and go into a box. Toploaders seems excessive.
I have japanese foiled legacy decks in perfect fits + sleeves and all of the cards remain in the same condition as when I got them years ago.
I sent mine out a bit late as well but my Russian Santa got me some neat Russian foils! Ramunap excavator is one of my favorite cards in recent history by far, since I’m a legacy lands player. I had a lot of friends joke that if I were to have an invitational card, that would be it.
There are very few decks that can actually play it without screwing their own manabases or making wonky sacrifices so I don’t think we’ll have to worry about it too much.
I should point out that Blood Sun doesn't screw with manabases at all. This means if anyone is playing any non-basic lands at all, they're still usable if they're mana sources. ETBT, pain lands, et al, are made more desirable.
So would you play it in a normal deck with fetches? There’s no way any deck like miracles, Delver, sneak or any other URx deck would play this, especially over blood moon. Literally the only current home would be red stompy which already plays multiple moons anyways.

Moved over $4k of cards on puca in a very short time and picked up a ton of cube foils and staples very easily. Once the site revamp, I struggled to get any cards and eventually just called it quits.
At the moment, on a split 2/2.
