To fully understand this and sum it up, would you say that Parallel Thoughts is basically a second library? That is basically the way I have thought about it for like 15 years and now im pondering if that is the right way to say it.
Hello everyone, I am just curious as to if this was normal in recent years or just a complete mess up. Because I have been buying/playing MTG off and on for 18ish years now. Today I bought myself a Zendikar Rising Gift Edition boxes, everything seemed normal, pack after pack of opening, saving the better one for last, half way through, I opened a pack and got myself a Pre-Release card in it. (One of those cards with a date on the picture). Is that something that can be found or just a screw up?
I totally agree, and yeah, the only one I truly seen and should have been dealt with (like 20 years ago) was the Invoke Prejudice, but the rest is basically comes down to that. And the Imprison to me is just taken out of context. Its an iron looking mask from art work from the early 90s, its not as crisp and clean as it would be today, and then you got the people who say its because of "Slavery", well, biggest bust on that is slavery has been done for thousands of years from nearly every culture around the world.
So what is going on with the "racist" stuff that started up a month ago, they took some action, but I have seen basically nothing since then and some of it was the most ignorant removal I have ever seen a game company ever go to and one I think was long over due. Im still dumbfounded with Crusade, anyone else care to explain that one for me too?
Considering this deck is only meant to be played against my roommates, this deck doesn't really fall into any category but casual. And this was put together by means of what iv already got. Just looking for a way to maybe make it better without spending a lot.
All creatures are declared as attackers at the same time. No one gets priority during this process so no one can perform any actions during this process (beyond tapping for mana for things like Ghostly Prison).
And, Equip abilities can only be played during the player's main phase when the stack is empty and they have priority. Beginning of Combat or Declare Attackers is not the Main Phase. There isn't a way to move the equipment around during the Declare Attackers step so there isn't a way to do it *while* the creatures are declared as attackers.
Thank you for the quick reply and bigger explanation of how he was wrong. Thanks.
I am very familiar with this card, but today, while on a casual play, I ran into an issue I believe I was right and he was wrong kind of thing. As we playing, he ended up with this on one of this creatures, and I know the mechanics of Sword of the Animist, but after a couple turns, he did something I was caught off guard with.
What he did was stated he was attacking with all three of his creatures and at the same time proceeded to tap six mana to bounce the card from one to the other and declared that since all three was attacking and it came onto the stack, he could search his library for three lands instead of one.
I of course said he couldn't do that because the card wasn't attached to the other two before he declared his attack. And as the good person I was, Id just let him have it. (he lost the game anyways lol)
I just have a small question or two for this card (Deadbridge Chant). Do you have to choose from your graveyard as your upkeep or can you still choose from your deck? Also, provided this is still in play, can you continuously draw cards every upkeep provided there is some in your graveyard to be drawn from?
Hey guys, thought id get your thoughts on my old Elf deck, and when I say old, I mean I started this deck over 15 years ago, and every so often, id upgrade it with newer things that I thought would make it even more of a pain. Its been a good 6 or 7 years since I last did anything to this, so I figured id go at it again. Its kinda slow going, but thats what makes it work so well with me because of the people I tend to play with only play decent speed or slow. Once this starts going, I could draw out my whole deck in a single turn if I wanted to, and with the Nature's Revolt combo with Plague Wind, I could clean out my friends battle field without to much worry (unless they countered it, but most of the time, they don't do things like that). The most recent things iv added was the Ezuri, Renegade Leader, Dwynen, Gilt-Leaf Daen, Elvish Mystic, Caged Sun, Paradox Engine, Jungle Hollow, some of these cards have come massively handly, but I would have the say the Paradox Engine has come in the MOST handy with its ability to let me untap everything (but lands) when I put something into play which will allow me to unlimitedly get mana, Staff of Domination is the old school way, but I just didnt think I could part with them because they allow me to do so much as well. I could gain life, tap any creature I want, untap any I want, draw a card if I want. But yeah, this deck is my most favorite out of any deck I have ever made over the years. Slow, but slow and steady usually always wins.
All cards are considered to have the text of their English version in the Gatherer reference. Time Vault's text is
Time Vault enters the battlefield tapped.
Time Vault doesn't untap during your untap step.
If you would begin your turn while Time Vault is tapped, you may skip that turn instead. If you do, untap Time Vault.
: Take an extra turn after this one.
Voltaic Key can untap Time Vault and you never have to skip a turn.
Gatherer also clarifies that Time Vault was reprinted in Vintage Masters.
Im just curious to the rulings on this, as we all know, Time Vault allows us to take an extra turn but to be able to untap it, we have to skip a turn, but due to it being one of the early cards of being to OP, it was never reprinted except into Beta and Unlimited, and so later on we are able to get other cards such as Voltaic Key to untap artifacts, the question being here, would that be a legitimate way to basically have infinite turns?
Over the past month or so, iv come to notice a lot of newer and nicer cards that seem to and will do well in my old deck. The only thing is, im feeling like there just is something missing, or to much of something and not enough something. As you can see here, this was my old Life Trampler deck, and this is what iv done with it now, and thats pretty much overhauled the lands BIG time time, and taken out a few here and there and put in others. What I did was took out the Proper Burial, Invigorate, cards and added Felidar Sovereign(wish I had more of this cat but I dont), Path of Bravery
I tried to google around for this and got no where, not sure if its from the lack of sleep (7:30am and havent been to bed yet, ugh) or what, but since iv been back to MTG this past month or so from a 7+ year break basically, iv been trying to update my decks that I started 7-12 years ago, and at last, iv almost completed my goal in my Elf deck of having 0 basic lands. So the question comes down to it, do I have to have at least 1 basic land? Or can I have none? I know there is no rule about not having any creatures in a deck. (had a debate about that years ago with my burn deck. ) But what about basic lands?
Hello everyone, I know this may sound odd, but most likely not unheard of, but I am only just recently (last month or so) came to learn about double-sleeving, but please bear with me, I havent truly played MTG in a good 7 years or so now, I kept buying for a year or two from that, so I havent collected in a good 5 years or so. Back then, we didnt double sleeve or sometimes even sleeved the cards, now im wanting to because im wanting to protect certain cards I have that have quit the value to them and cant just go and blow that kind of money whenever I want. ANYWAYS, what im trying get at is which brand should I be looking at to use? I know the size needs to be 64mmx89mm, but does the brand truly matter? I am also having to order these since local Walmart doesnt have them right now and in this one horse town, it could be a month before I see them again. So I went and browsed around a bit and found a few but I really dont know. I really hope not to also pay a lot for these. I would prefer the cheaper the better honestly but I just dont know and if you know a better place to buy them, let me know too.
Never mind to this, CardKingdom isnt really a good place to buy them type of sleeves iv come to see, $8 shipping is pretty far up there for a couple packs of sleeves, ended up actually getting the ones I saw for just around $3.50 on ebay with free shipping.
