This card has a really interesting effect when combined with Biomancer's Familiar and Marwyn, the Nurturer (to create an ungodly amount of green mana) or Incubation Druid (infinite mana of any colors you can create through land). The familiar reduces the activated ability to cost one white mana, so any ramp creature that produces that and excess mana creates an infinite engine--for example, Incubation Druid creates three white mana, spends one to untap, creates three blue mana, then three more white mana, and now has three blue and four white to continue this cycle with, always using the last white mana to create three more so that the cycle can be continued. Any infinite engine needs to be respected and this one is really affordable because it only relies on three cards under three mana.
