Holy cow!

Honestly took me a moment to realize that this thing counts number of colors and not number of legends, though that's fair.

I like cheating things out at instant speed and how you will often be unable to grab instant speed Elish Norn on your first activation. Seems pretty powerful but fair... and much more capable of surviving in general.

Not to mention that it says legendary permanents and not legendary creatures. Now there's another viable 5-color superfriends commander.

*Looks at Urza* "hmmmmmm...."

You should look at the Urza that cannot look back...

Talk about made for commander. Now if only there were some legendary equipment that could help here ... perhaps one that further drives home the theme by having "Equip Legendary" on it, but what?

Blackblade Reforged, for the win!

You would need another colored legendary permanent to find X = 2, but this is a Captain Sisay using deck if ever there was one. Combine the most expensive 5 color mana base you can (original dual-lands are EDH legal as well as shocklands) with the most absurd legends to tutor into and you probably have the most expensive Commander deck of all times.

If only that equipment only cost 2, so she could fetch it out even with nothing else on the field. If only.

It was always pretty obnoxious that Captain Sisay couldn't be a commander that you put Hanna, Ship's Navigator, Crovax the Cursed and Tahngarth, Talruum Hero into. Now you can finally make Magic Story Deck.

Also, really love the artwork update, she doesn't look this great on that many cards.

I can see a build around here:

Legendary Lands like Eiganjo Castle
Mox Amber / 1 or 2 drop legendaries
the new "become Craw Wurm" spell (Scale Up)
Channel the Suns

and a bunch of 8 or 9 drops like Avacyn, Iona, Griselbrand, Ugin, Zetalpa etc.

Finally, a captain worthy to command the Weatherlight crew.

We still need an italic form of Beleren.
