I always support unconditional land destruction. Thumbs up to this one even if it's no Stone Rain.

Maybe at 3RR instead of 4R. Or 3GG. But I can't see it at just 4R or 4G. They're really hating on land destruction since, well, since the original Ravnica block.

So you're saying Implode has no chance of seeing a reprint?

Scry 2 for 1 more is pretty good. We're not going to get cantrip for 2 more, so this is the next best thing.

I'd like to see "nonbasic land for three mana, any land for four mana" be the standard going forward.

There are instances where Scry 2 makes up for an increase in mana cost, but timing is very important for this particular kind of spell, and that timing is going to be most successful "As early as possible." With Llanowar Elves in standard, 3 mana Stone Rain variants aren't going to see print, but I don't think that necessarily makes this attractive.
