Nahiri, the Harbinger
Oracle Text
+2: You may discard a card. If you do, draw a card.
−2: Exile target enchantment, tapped artifact, or tapped creature.
−8: Search your library for an artifact or creature card, put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle your library. It gains haste. Return it to your hand at the beginning of the next end step.
Card Rulings
4/8/2016 You can activate Nahiri’s first ability with no intention of discarding a card just to add loyalty to Nahiri.
4/8/2016 If you find a noncreature artifact with Nahiri’s third ability, it will still gain haste, even though it won’t be meaningful unless that artifact becomes a creature.
4/8/2016 If the artifact or creature put onto the battlefield with Nahiri’s third ability leaves the battlefield before the next end step, it won’t be returned to your hand from its new zone.
Best planeswalker since LotV.
The +2 is filtering that enables madness (which is kind of whatever outside of Standard), but her -2 is excellent. I dislike that the artifact has to be tapped in order to exile it, but that's whatever.
But + her twice and get a Blightsteel with haste isn't bad, especially considering you can adjust your plan on the fly and exile needed permanents an opponent controls while only setting your plan back a little bit.
Madness you need for her to be good. Mad you must be to run her, you should(n't).
I do not like her restrictive removal. I do not like her ultimate drool.
Her best friend a blightsteel could be. But that is not a friend of you or of me.
Play her in commander, perhaps you shall. But play her to watch- many a furrowed brow.
I do not like this planeswalker, new-hiri. I do not like this boros-walker eerie
