Okay, this is the card that sells me on the consistency of U/B zombies (or mono-black if you sneak in discard/self-mill). Cast a gravecrawler from your graveyard for one mana and every dead amalgam you have shoots right back from the graveyard. Use relentless dead to recover your Diregraf and you get these guys back as a kicker.

Oh god. Dredge. Even in standard, though, we have a new phantasmagorian clone (with flying and in the right tribe) to experiment with. Definitely a good day for zombies.

What was the original card of which this should be a reprint? I can not find it in the data bases.

Does Persist and Undying trigger his effect?

Since it says enters from your graveyard, yes both of those trigger it's effect making this card pretty damn amazing (this makes it true for things that reanimate as well like Unburial Rites). Throwing out a Geralf's Messenger with a few of these in your yard will make your opponent think twice about a Supreme verdict or Damnation... Hell run Damnation yourself and laugh as it does nothing to your field. The only issue I have is it's a 3/3 which will suck against anger of the gods, then again you're in blue so counter spells are always an option. Still I'm loven this thing and I'ma run the hell out of it. Will be great to try a dredge build wiht it and Vengevine.
