Fair enough. I could still use it in limited or Standard, since free sac outlets aren't really a thing now. But the fact that it avoids "random" makes it genuinely better. I never use things where the cost is "random".

I mean to say that this is to Nantuko Husk as Drake was to good discard enablers like Wild Mongrel (and not just because of the better initial cost)

Just having any mana cost in addition to throwing away another resource is a big ask because it puts a limit on what you can do in two directions rather than one.

I'd say better than Canyon Drake just because "random" and costing R less, but worse than anything that lets me choose to sac.

Seems more to be a Canyon Drake, eh? Still nice to have common enablers for Threaten effects in limited. I wonder if the threaten for this set will take planeswalkers as well.
