Feather, the Redeemed
Oracle Text
Flying
Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell that targets a creature you control, exile that card instead of putting it into your graveyard as it resolves. If you do return it to your hand at the beginning of the next end step.
Can't wait to get her.
Now that we've got Feather, the most desirable legend from the plane without a card is... I don't even know... Pivlic, maybe? Point is, Wizards now has more freedom to completely warp the plane into something unrecognizable without everyone moaning over how they never received X or Y.
The only question in my mind is if we'll see a Lorwyn/Alara-style positive makeover OR a Zendikar/Mirrodin-style apocalyptic makeover.
Although given Ravnica's popularity, I don't expect it to be effaced. Still, one idea I've entertained about lazotep is that it is the source of the Curse of Wandering. Maybe parts of Ravnica get "irradiated", and the non-Ravnica card hint is an evacuation destination?
I'll assume that won't work.
Feather: exile that card instead of putting it into your graveyard as it resolves.
KTS: Exile Karn's Temporal Sundering.
My assumption is that Feather's ability won't trigger because it creates a replacement effect to replace "goes to the graveyard". KTS doesn't go there, thereby not allowing the replacement effect to occur. I could be wrong.
In fairness, that would be a 2 card, 9 mana, 3 color combo. Nexus is still easier.
My second thought was "Oooh, I can use all my boros related Strive and Heroic cards from my favorite set!"
Okay, fair. (Unless it's Stuffy Doll...) New game plan: Cards like Arc Lightning, fight spells, and Soul's Fire. Or ones like Mighty Leap. (She'd be much easier to use if she were partially blue or green. Even black has Steal Strength.) You can also aim the first Grapeshot at your own creature.
You also have options like heroic and enrage (and related, Livewire Lash).
But the real payoff here is heroic and Livewire Lash.
Your Beamsplitter Mages or Guttersnipes obviously.
