Eh the same could almost be said for Verdurous Gearhulk. The land can die to a lot of cheap removal (fatal push for B), leaving you vulnerable to a 2 for 1. However i agree still cool that you can play at the end of your opponents turn.

OP? I don't see it. A vanilla 9/9 is really nothing to be cheering about. No trample or other evasive ability, and when they contempt your Super-Tree you lose a land too

However, the fact that it is an instant is very interesting. You can hold your 5 mana to smash a blocker before swinging back or surprise the control deck EoT. Also the fact that it is a land gets around random "nonland" removal effects.

I think its good. I would bet it will see play (Hell, I bet I'LL play it), but I don't think it's going to be breaking the format.... like every Teferi card (creature OR planeswalker) that hasnt been printed in a planeswalker deck.

Whats the interaction with inkmoth nexus on that? 10/10 infect flying sounds pretty good to me.

Since Inkmoth's second ability sets base P/T at layer 6B and the +1/+1 counters modify it at layer 6D, yes, that's exactly what it does.

So what happens when I cast this on Arixmethes while it's still a land, and then I remove the final slumber counter? I assume it would now just be a 21/21 creature, but I mean more for the parts making it an elemental and giving it the name Vitu-Ghazi? When it ceases to be a land, would it just lose those parts, or would it retain them, making it Arixmethes, the Vitu-Ghazi, a 21/21 Elemental Kraken?

The spell actually makes it a 0/0, so it would only be a 9/9. But either way, its name would be Vitu-Ghazi, and it would be an elemental with no other types. It would still have its tap ability though (as well as haste).
