Only in the early game. It's important to remember that you can't just choose to make a second Army; you MUST pump an existing one if you can. You get one big beatstick, not a swarm.

Let us appreciate that MtG is the only context where stapling things to bears is not only acceptable but appreciated.

IF this were an instant, It would be amazing in limited and playable in standard (goodbye Goblin Chainwhirler). As a sorcery however, I don't think this is going to be seeing much play.

Pretty solid. Compare to Vengeful Rebel and Wasteland Strangler. A little weaker, perhaps, but doesn't ask for a launchpad. Amass 2 might be worse than straight-up making a 2/2 in most zombie decks, but this is still a reasonable zombie token with a disfigure.
