Win: I win when only members of the Politicians are left.
I'm very, very leery about gaming the mod here. We should lynch based on behavioral evidence, not flavor. In Nakamura's case, his behavior points pretty clearly to him not knowing anything about his role until recently. It's not impossible for this to be an elaborate scum gambit but I would think that if he were leaning this heavily on his buddies for help, he wouldn't have voted so erratically either. Also, Occam's Razor indicates that if he acts like he has no idea what's going on, he has no idea what's going on. Seems like a poor choice for lynching or vigging to me.
Probably because he's almost definitely town right now, if horribly unhelpful.

Ugh, it's just too much stretching for me to believe it. Ontop of all of it DesCoures still hasn't been on; and now he just sent a whole role-pm over AIM?!? Fling mud on a third(roughly) of the players in the game within the course of two days does not look like someone who doesn't know their role, it looks like scum.
Occam's Razor is really shouldn't be used in a game where the role of 25-33% of the players is literally lie to fit in with people that aren't like them.
I won't be gaming the mod at all on flavour and roles, but it was too funny not to point out :-/. He was scum before claim and he's scum after claim.
Everyone: Has anyone ever heard of desCoures or any other mod on this entire site sending game info via AIM? (this is not a rhetorical question; I haven't, but I don't use AIM). Not to mention the point already made that if desCoures isn't logging on, he couldn't see who is voting for Nakamura unless he's viewing the thread while logged out. No, I think Nakamura is lying: the question is whether Nakamura is lying as a neutral or as a scum.
Gahr, fine. I lied about my ability and the lack of a Role from the word Go.
I've had my role (Politician/Israel) likely from the same time everybody else here has hard their role. I just wanted to play-up my flavor and see what I could learn/find. Happy?

I agree that Nakamura is probably lying about something, but I also think he genuinely didn't know what his role was until just now. I'm not sure what the correct conclusion to draw from this is, but a possibility is that when given the choice he chose to be scum-aligned.
For now I think he should be left alone, because even as exposed scum he would only be a threat in the endgame. In the meantime he would continue to give all sorts of information away about his buddies.
Recent events pretty much invalidate this. A reread is in order to determine whether Nakamura's actions are scum-driven or neutral/survival-driven.

They're confirmation was just there to make it look more real. Per the "pro-town mentality", I need to learn that, apparently. I'll paraphrase my full flavor in a moment.
EBWoP (?): Your attitude is what fuels you. Why wouldn't it? The past of your people is a drawn-out and mixed past of persecution -- from the Roman, various religious groups, and the Muslims. You've been moved out of far too many places, all full of hate, and even now in your home-land. You've learn one thing over the years: the world is your enemy -- of your, an Israeli.
Because of that, treat it like one. Take what you receive, and take what you don't receieve (do the former with the U.S., and the latter with the Muslims). Etch your own place, protect it with your core, or it will vanish in an instant just like before. You will not have history repeat itself. Several people, even in your homeland, deem your viewpoint and ideals extreme -- but they don't, in your opinion, have the weight of their fathers and forefathers on their shoulders. Your job is to protect those people from that weight. You are actually fine with that. "A cornered rat that wins its fight knows never to be scared again".
The attack by the terrorists? Another, just another, upon the holy, mighty land of Israel. You hate more than others, but typically, they are all your enemies in mind. Basically, you just work with one enemy against the other, and so on.
Take what you receive, take what you do not. In the end, you, and Israel, will be in the fore-front.
OK. Assuming you don't incur a modkill, please provide the flavor of your ability, if you indeed have that ability.
As for "Lynch all liars," occasionally it's OK for a townie to lie or tell a half-truth, but only if doing so is of large benefit to the town and the risks associated with it are fairly low. For instance, in Basic #7 loran16 claimed to be vanilla town when he was actually the doc. This allowed his replacement, zindabad, to survive an additional Night and protect a townie from a NK. What you did, if you are indeed town, is not OK.
But, didn't it help us possibly determine people that could be Scum?
Anyway, I have an ability (covert) that allows me to target one person during the Night and remove their vote, permanently. Invoked by my "lobby power".
Going to sum up the last few points, between AI and Nakamura.
AI: Nak is scum!!!
Nakumara: Makes something up.
AI: DIE!!!!
Nakumara: Pretend to tell the truth.
AI: O wait I shouldn't lynch my scum buddy.
Nakumara: Yeah....
AI: Claim more!
Nakumara: Please mod kill me.
I don't know if nom is town or scum. But I'd like to point out this type of behavior is his standard modus operandi.
Court Mafia: Day 1, hatch plan to KILL EVERYONE ELSE IN A SINGLE NIGHT, when the plan only allows him to hit 11 random players, ATTEMPTS TO FIRE ANYHOW (Roleblocked).
In other words....Nom is an impulsive player who doesn't think about planning long-term or listening to others. I wouldn't be surprised if he was town. At all.
I'm actually glad that I took the extra time to cool off. I no longer see any need to claim, and am convinced that both AI and Nakamura are scum.
Reasoning: This is a high risk / low reward gambit by Nakamura if she were town, but the timing was PERFECT for attempting a derail of AI's wagon. The fact that AI said this:
Quote from AI »

My first point: You, dear Zchnique, are at the top of my new Scum list.
-Why would a true, honest Townie be so eager to lynch a Townie who just claimed? Well, because that "true, honest Townie" isn't actually a Townie, they're Scum trying to push other players to lynch that Townie. Why? It would be a very, very easy kill for the Scum to make.
And, hopefully by late tomorrow, I'll have a PBPA up. Busy now.
My first point: You, dear Zchnique, are at the top of my new Scum list.
Okay.
-Why would a true, honest Townie be so eager to lynch a Townie who just claimed?
First, I have (so far) not pushed for your lynch. I have said I want you dead, true. That is because, even if you should be town, you will have a huge question mark over your head. You will be a liability in a LyLo situation, should it come to that. With your play and claim, again if you are town, the scum are highly unlikely to ever kill you.
Secondly, do you not realize how horribly, horribly loaded your question is?
"-Why would a true, honest Townie be so eager to lynch a Townie who just claimed?"
Obviously, a "true, honest Townie" would not be a eager to lynch another Townie, if that "true, honest Townie", knew the other Townie's alignment. However, a "true, honest Townie" would not know the other one's alignment, would he?
Thirdly, what does it matter that you had just claimed? You have done so no less than three times during this game already... And it's not like claiming is in any way a sure way not to be lynched, then there would be no point in this game.
Well, because that "true, honest Townie" isn't actually a Townie, they're Scum trying to push other players to lynch that Townie. Why? It would be a very, very easy kill for the Scum to make.
And, hopefully by late tomorrow, I'll have a PBPA up. Busy now.
Could be fun, I don't think I've been subject to a PBPA yet.
But for the PBPA, please get the name right. Or shorthand it, I answer to Z (where not confusing), Zch, and Sir Nils Olav.

It's fine because Nak's riding the "unknown future." Being that it's claimed, what he says is generally pretty meaningless overall. The behavior correlates with the claim quite nicely because it's not necessarily wise to scumhunt if you could flip scum yourself (i.e. traitors, too). Him being on a boat with flippy floppies is about as relevant as him at Kinko's straight flipping copies AKA doing nothing.
I'm confused. If the behavior correlates with the claim, it's further implied that you believe Nakamura's claim. Yet you say:
Talore has made a good point. Nakamura is certainly on a boat with flippy floppies.
Talore's point was to say that Nakamura is scum and this quote implies that you are agreeing with him. Which is strange considering the fact that you seemingly believe Nakamura's claim.
DC hasn't been on since the seventh. You claimed that you recieved new info/etc. Yesterday (the 9th) and today, the tenth. Just click on those posts, people. And check right now to verify that DC hasn't been on since then.

There's some inbred combination of bad logic and bad intentions between the lot of you. Anyone who seriously thinks that Nakamura and I are scumbuddies needs to get his head examined.
Your refusal to claim nationality could easily be scum worried about a counterclaim and I want to be sure that you're not. Why are you so against revealing your nationality?
See, now that's a good reason to claim nationality. I was against it because without a clear benefit claiming would just needlessly put out more info, which is obviously detrimental.
Ignoring the fact that I was talking to D_V, please elaborate.
If you're referring to Nakamura, I agree that he has lied and therefore looks very suspect. However, I don't believe he's scum because there's no way his buddies let him pull that move as scum. Even if he were to live through the day, scum-Nakamura would always be a suspect and that's just not a smart play for them. It makes much more sense that he's telling the truth (now) and was really trying a gambit and/or playing up the flavor of his role. ~Tilde~ will be the first to tell you that lying and pulling foolish gambits doesn't make a player scum.
If you're referring to me, you will have a very hard time finding any lies from me.
I dunno saying that the only one out of you nakamura and az that might be scum is az sounds rather like a lie to me, I am in favor of seeing you and nakamura die at this point.
I dunno saying that the only one out of you nakamura and az that might be scum is az sounds rather like a lie to me, I am in favor of seeing you and nakamura die at this point.
Note that I said average or above. Sure, it's theoretically possible for either or both of us to be scum but odds are not in favor.
Your bullheadedness is disappointing, and when I'm dead you are going to feel silly.
I usually do feel silly, but if you die and pop scum I'll be silly and happy :). I am pretty damn sure that one or both of you and nakamura is scum though.
I would've thought that such guile was beyond Nakamura's capabilities but I guess not. I can't see any possible townie reason to make up all these lies and yet... it seems that theme of this game is bad play, and that gives me some doubt.
Really not liking AI's play whether he is town or scum.
Waiting on Az's promised aznalysis - his last couple of posts have been fluffy.
I've been wondering whether I actually even want to do the analysis, because at a superficial level, I keep seeing enough of a certain type of tell to make me fairly confident that AI's a good kill. And I'm short on time.

Do it.
Two by unofficial count. People voting me when they were already voting me tends to confuse the issue.

Also, I think I see an explanation for why there might be two town roleblockers. Given some of the current play trends, I don't think that mentioning it would be a good idea, though.
Note that D_V never actually claimed exactly what his ability does, just that the flavor is similar. Also, while opium is a soporific, it's very crude relative to the high-grade blend my character uses. Lastly...bastard mod is a self-purported bastard. Including multiple identical roles could be one of the ways he expresses that.
EBWoP: Oh, and another reason I want Az to do the analysis is because I spent a good 10-15 minutes quoting all of my damn posts and I don't want that time to have been wasted.

Reasoning: This is a high risk / low reward gambit by Nakamura if she were town, but the timing was PERFECT for attempting a derail of AI's wagon. The fact that AI said this:
and hasn't VOTED Nakamura yet for being a liar, consolidates it in my mind.
Best part? Naka possibly invoking Wrath of Mod might get us 2 scum for the price of 1.
Note to self: Your mafia theories are usually wrong, so don't act on them.

Do not do that. You'll get modkilled, and risk getting blacklisted as well.

Swing in a noose. It's about the only way we can be 100% sure.
A card game about Presidents. Stabbing each other. With knives.
In this game? Sorry, I think you're screwed there. Your constant lying, retconning of your role, needless spreading of confusion, and add to that, now that you claim to have been town the whole time, non-content and horrible voting, I'm not sure I see any change of events that would make me not want you dead. Short of a cop inspection, but that would really be a waste.
The only question in my mind is whether I want you lynched, or leave you to the vig.
That said, if you want to try, which I by all means encourage, you could start with posting the analysis you didn't want to do because you had no alignment.

No, and no.
This is ridiculous. We need to think this through, and quit screwing around.
Unfortunately, I've run out of spare time now that classes have resumed, but we need some careful analysis here, not chaos.
If you want me to prove that I am Town you've found a way to.

Perk up. It's a game. Go kill some mafia.
Busy now.
Mafia Stats 2016-2017:
Town: 1-0 | Scum: 2-0 | Neutral: 1-1
Okay.
Could be fun, I don't think I've been subject to a PBPA yet.
But for the PBPA, please get the name right. Or shorthand it, I answer to Z (where not confusing), Zch, and Sir Nils Olav.

I'm confused. If the behavior correlates with the claim, it's further implied that you believe Nakamura's claim. Yet you say:
Talore's point was to say that Nakamura is scum and this quote implies that you are agreeing with him. Which is strange considering the fact that you seemingly believe Nakamura's claim.
Can you be more specific?
Were you not aware that you were voting me at that time, considering in the post right before that, you voted me?
What?
Explain please.
Nice catch.
@AI:
Your refusal to claim nationality could easily be scum worried about a counterclaim and I want to be sure that you're not. Why are you so against revealing your nationality?
I need to think more about Nakumara and read over her posts. Will post more on that later.

This game just seems to easy.
DV
There might be a reason for that.
Personally, I can't recall a game that's seemed quite as difficult as this one.
We have a LOT of info coming in, but it's not easy to tell how to read any of it.
There's some inbred combination of bad logic and bad intentions between the lot of you. Anyone who seriously thinks that Nakamura and I are scumbuddies needs to get his head examined.
Can we lynch WoD now?
Hiro...Nakamura.
See, now that's a good reason to claim nationality. I was against it because without a clear benefit claiming would just needlessly put out more info, which is obviously detrimental.
I'm the Indonesian Delegate.
Azrael is the only one on that list who even has an average (25%) or above chance of being scum. Why do you fail to recognize this fact?
Note that I said average or above. Sure, it's theoretically possible for either or both of us to be scum but odds are not in favor.
Your bullheadedness is disappointing, and when I'm dead you are going to feel silly.
This game is so confusing.
How many votes is he from hammer?
Do it.
Two by unofficial count. People voting me when they were already voting me tends to confuse the issue.
1 or 2.
What's this tell you see?
Defeatism in the face of certain doom[assery]?
Note that D_V never actually claimed exactly what his ability does, just that the flavor is similar. Also, while opium is a soporific, it's very crude relative to the high-grade blend my character uses. Lastly...bastard mod is a self-purported bastard. Including multiple identical roles could be one of the ways he expresses that.
