Yep, any bands you'd love to see live but never will due to splitups/deaths.
For me, it's;
The Beatles (that'd be amazing)
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
The Smiths (Johnny Marr has hinted at a reunion in the next 5-10 years but it probably won't happen)
Elliott Smith (I miss this guy :frown:)
At The Drive-In
Boston
Cat Stevens
Gang of Four
The Human League (While they still tour, I doubt they'd ever tour Australia ever again.)
The Sugarhill Gang (Again, doubt they'd ever tour Australia.)
The Recieving End of Sirens (I've already seen them but I'd like to see them again, it's a shame they disbanded.)
Yeah I echo Boston big time Buddy Holly would be on my list shame he died so young.
While not a Beatles fan I would like to see them just to have seen them. Jimi Hendrix would be amazing talk about a legend another guy that should have lived a lot longer.
This is a more general musician/performer list but....Sublime, Nirvana, Snot (saw them once @ Ozzfest), Hendrix, Caroline Spine, Tupac, Run DMC, Ray Charles, Pink Floyd, Pantera & a hundred others I'm probably forgetting. Beethoven would have been pretty sweet too.
Pink Floyd, Alice in Chains (with Layne), Sublime, Blind Melon (with Shannon), The Who, Queen (Freddie could friggin sing!), and Nirvana.
It's a shame about Shannon Hoon, Layne Staley, and Kurt. Layne is the only one who I have not yet out lived. It's just sad to think of the careers they could have continued had they not died so young.
Stereomud. a great band that got **** publicity... the lead singer fronts for another band called Soundevice, but it's doubtful they'll ever come to the west cost [being a small east coast band]
Pearl Jam... yea, like that'll ever happen.

I see Pearl Jam on the 27th of July, in Hartford, CT..soo
But for me it's Muse. But pretty much all the other bands were mentioned, most bands I listen to now actively tour the US, and I live on the east coast, so I can see pretty much all of them.
Black Flag, Minor Threat, Void, Die Kreuzen, Septic Death, Axegrinder, The Birthday Party, Discharge, Crass, Death, Angel Hair, Antioch Arrow, The Crimson Curse, Rorschach, Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, Orchid, pg.99, City of Caterpillar, Saetia, The Jesus Lizard, Nirvana, Holy Molar, Some Girls, Clikitat Ikatowi, Charles Bronson, Spazz, Man Is The Bastard, Gorguts, and probably a few more that I have forgotten. If I could narrow it down to five, it would be:
1.Orchid
2.Rorschach
3.Kiss It Goodbye
4.Black Flag (My War era)
5.Septic Death

Major props to Zaphod and High~Light Studios for the sig!
A punk rock song won't ever change the world, but I can tell you about a couple that changed me
Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby are the two that really stand out in my mind as being outstanding voices and are known for being great performers. Glenn Miller's also up there, though I've not heard of him as a performer.

My anecdotal evidence disagrees with yours! EXPLAIN THAT!
I just realized. Mycoloth perfectly demonstrates the devour mechanic.

One turn later, 1/1 turds come out.

btw i did it because i could. i was bored and decided to let my little med-free spree go ahead. I am bipolar, explaining all the drama that ensued after. I have problems.

Jon Finkel can simply walk into Mordor.
"When an artist dies the world loses two lives, that of the artist and that of his unfinished work."
Hendrix and Nirvana primarily, and I don't know if this counts but I would love to see Bobby Darin as well.
I would also love to see System of a Down but that is still a possibility.
They've split up.
I don't get all the cries of "My Bloody Valentine!". They're still touring. In fact, they're playing a festival in Japan in August. o_o
@Opposite: MUSE haven't broken up. I saw them last year.
Shaha: Ahh, yeah, young Sonic Youth would be awesome, same with Pavement. Sonic Youth just came to Australia, but only did shows in Melbourne and Sydney. WTF?? I didn't understand that.
Also, The Who are touring Australia this year.
So is Paul McCartney - that's the closest I'm going to ever come to Beatles.
@dimir impersonator: yeahh, same with Elliott Smith and Jeff Buckley. So much wasted talent there...
Nine Inch Nails is kicking off the Europeon Stint of the Ghosts tour and is going to do an American leg sometime later this year
Mastodon, as far as I know, are still touring
RATM is going to have a tour sometime in the near future
Radiohead should start touring soon in support of In_Rainbows

My Bloody Valentine for me as well. Huge one.
A few others:
The Velvet Underground
The Stooges
The Who
A young Led Zeppelin
Pavement
Syd Era Floyd
Even though they still tour, and I have seen them live, I still wish I could have seen Sonic Youth in their earlier years.
I would also love to see System of a Down but that is still a possibility.

They are? Maybe the fact that it's in Japan and not anywhere remotely close to Florida is the reason I didn't know about this.
