It may seem asthough Charlotte got the better deal compared to GS, but Wright will fit in great and also costs almost 10 million dollars less a season.
Belinelli to GS was a great pick, my favourite player in the draft to my favourite team.

im sorry when i said that blazers traded randolph and other three players, when it is really randolph, dickau, and fred jones to knicks. i wasn't paying attention that much when i heard the news of the trade.
the reason the warriors traded richardson to bobcats is because they cannot pay davis and richardson together.
i love what sonics did, they just totally change the franchise in one day. they got jeff green which would really compliment durant. i feel sorry for the celtics.

The draft this year was pretty interesting. None of the really huge names were traded, but some deals still went down. I like the what the Celtics did by getting Ray Allen. They kept all of their young prospects (Jefferson, Green, Rondo) and they managed to get rid of Sczerbiak. I don't think that their new team is a championship calibre team, but they should definitely make the playoffs in the East.
The Knicks trade didn't make much sense to me. It just seems like Isiah always goes after players that are similar to guys he already has on his team. Randolph and Curry are very similar, and I don't see how they complement each other. Plus with Randolph around, there won't be much playing time for David Lee. I'll like this trade much more if the Knicks send end up sending Randolph to another team.
I like the Golden State/Charlotte trade for both teams. Charlotte finally gets someone who can score, and Golden State frees up enough cap space to extend the contracts of Monta Ellis and Andris Biedrins, plus they get another good prospect in Brandon Wright.
yeah the celtics may have get a good player in the form of ray allen, but he is injury prone and coming off from an ankle injury is pretty much not a good idea. it would be better if they ask for rashard lewis. for sonics can always sign and trade him anyway.
and yes, i agree that the celtics will get to the play-offs next season. if they don't, then there is really a problem.

The addition of Ray Allen will not get the celtics another 18 wins, they may be in a division that was weak last year but it has gotten significantly better.

The free agent signings have begun. Luke Walton resigned with the Lakers for 6 years, 30 million and Jason Kapono jumped ship to Toronto for 4 years, 24 million. I think both guys will play well, but the Lakers may have overpaid a bit to keep Luke and Toronto definitely overpaid for Kapono.
Wow, it looks like seattle lost allen and lewis (dont know if we can still sign and trade if the signing has gone thru)
and its too late to get in the running for billups and carters of the market, so we have a ton of money and no good free agent to spend it on it looks like, not good...

I don't think Seattle has a ton of money. They had to take bake Wally Sczerbiak's contract in the Ray Allen deal. I remember reading that Seattle will have some cap room two years from now, when Wally and Chris Wilcox's deals expire.
Its official/unofficial Kevin Garnett is coming to Boston!!!!
(The TWolves and Celtis are just waiting till Kevin McHale gets back from vacation in two days)
We will have to give up:
Gerald Green - Gerald i will miss, but although he is a player that has alot of potential, he is a player that could be a star in the league or be out of the leaugue in a few years
Al Jefferson - I will miss Jefferson I really liked him and im sorry he had to go, but im sure he will continue to grow and is a potential all-star. May never be as good as Garnett but he will be a great player none the less
Theo Ratliff - Solid veteran player, just a throw-in and he never did anything for us but suck up cap space
Sebastian Telfair - Never did much for us, more trouble than he was worth he was also never as good as he should have been
1 or 2 Draft Picks - could be risky

Looks like the Celtics are finally contenders again... However, with a core of Garnett, Pierce, and Allen, they probably only have a 3-5 year window to capture a title.
that sucks for the wolves, they lose their franchise player for some players that may not bring them contendership. anyway, the celtics are really now contenders, i hope garnett finally wins a title this time.
its always sad to see a player that plays for a team for such a long time being traded away.

In a stunning deal that was thought to be all but dead, the Celtics acquired superstar forward Kevin Garnett in exchange for Al Jefferson, Theo Ratliff (and his expiring contract), Gerald Green, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair and a pair of 2009 first-round picks.
With New Jersey keeping their core trio and having Nenad Kristic back in the rotation, and with Toronto continuing their push for playoff contention from last year with Bosh's blossoming superstardom and great supporting cast, the Atlantic division has become a ruthless division that can rival the central division. I personally think they'll do better than the cavs and bulls.
The Celtics still need to find a center, and maybe a point guard if Rondo isn't good enough to be the full-time starter yet. They've got 3 All Stars on the team, but they still need to find some good role players to support them.
yeah i read it already, its just making me sick seeing my favorite league is being biased about its calls. i think there's more refs that are biased other than donaghy.
the garnett deal is surely what we need, to focus our attention to something besides the biased ref.

Isn't it funny that the Garnett deal came so soon after this Donaghy scancal broke? It seemed like the possibility of Garnett being traded before the season was over, and then all of a sudden Garnett winds up in Boston. I'm not usually one of these NBA conspiracy theory nuts, but the timing of this trade is a little odd.
isn't that great? for who wants to read articles about a biased referee? and besides if the KG deal did not happen the nba will surely lose a lot of fans. and besides this deal made people look up to next season and temporarily forgot the biased referee.

Anyone know when Vegas posts the odds for winning the NBA championship? I bet the Celtics are in the top 5. I can't believe how good they have become, but I guess thats what happens when you dump 5 mediocre players for one superstar.
Looks like the Clippers season is over. Elton Brand ruptured his achilles while working out and is expected to need 6 months of recovery time. It's sad because he's a great player and has always seemed very likeable. If he played on the Lakers instead of the Clips he would be much more popular.
Im not sure Boston is that good theres still alot of talent in the West.
Yes in the east they can probably dominate but don't act like this is the new god team of the league.
In my opinion theres 3 teams in the west that could prob deal with them fairly well.
Spurs
Suns
Mavericks
Yes the Celtics aren't the best team in the league but that doesnt mean that the best teams in the West could own them.

we will see everything in the play-offs. im expecting the wolves to reach the finals or perhaps the conference finals (the pistons are lingering on). anything below than that is a disappointment.
and i definitly want to see the mavericks win the championship.

Yeah East seems to be getting much weaker so even with that trade The Celtics might make the playoffs.
I really hope Seattle isn't forced to move this rivalry with Portland is just about to get interesting again.
EDIT: This just in another possible trade PHX with POR

The internet is like drugs, it can be alot of fun, but most people on it say really stupid stuff
The Seattle media is pretty sure that Presti has more up his sleave, because right now the team is
PG Watson
SG West (OK i think)
SF Durant (Pretty obvious)
PF Wilcox (OK again
C Collison ( I think is massively overrated)
Bench : Ridnour(who everyone wants traded (came within a nanosecond of going to Atl for #11 pick)), Wilkins, thee #5 pick guy, Wally, Swift, and Sene
That isnt much, they really need to add a peice at PG,SG,PF, or C

David Stern sure looks bad with this type of proof of ref power in the NBA.
