Question about that : must we explain the card to the opponent if it's foreign language or not ?
Because at the GP my opponent called the judge and said i didn't announced thalia's first strike...
If they dont know what it does they should call a judge to get the oracle text. What did the jusge say?
Thalia's eaten tons of my opponent's 2/1s, 2/2s and 1/2s over the past year. Then they ask why she's not in the graveyard and realize that they forgot about First Strike. Combat sure is tricky.

Same here. I even had people complain quite loudly about the fact that I let them attack into my 2/1 first strike critter with their still-1/1 Nimble Mongoose and NOT tell them before their declaring attackers step is over that Thalia was, in fact, going to survive that exchange unscathed. RTFC.
Just wondering on people's thoughts on Spellskite as a tutor target out of the board coming in to deal with artifact hate.
Also, I now run a maindeck rest in peace, because I am sick of Deathrite Shaman and Tarmogoyf Combo.

What match up would you want to bring both it and the tutors in against? I could see this as Mom 5, but I can think of very few common scenarios where I would love to tutor for this guy.
It can stop bolts, but the cost of two life is pretty relevant in burn and jund. It can stop a chain of vapor or echoing truth, but not wipe away. It can protect a vial from Disenchant, but I don't know if that is worth both the tutor and the card itself.
I could see it being played, but I don't think I'd tutor for it.

I'm thinking more for BGx decks, and it does slow down burn's clock if they are throwing bolts at our faces.
btw, guys. We need a form of card advantage. We just can't fight the amount of card advantage Shardless BUG maintains.

Shardless BUG is not too much of a problem. I've faced that deck a few times and even though they drew 6-9 more cards than I did over the course of the game, DnT still won by shutting off their resources and having more "active" cards. All our cards do something aggressive. Many of their cards just draw more cards.
Most games ended with DnT having 5-8 power on the table and 2 cards in hand while BUG had 7 cards, an inability to use them profitably (Canonist/Thalia) and trying to block 2/1 first strikers, 3/1 flyers and equipped creatures with a 1/1 flyer and a 2/2 artifact creature. Sideboarding is even worse for them as Rest in Peace comes in.
I've found they usually just draw 4 cards, play jace, bounce our one relevant creature, and then win.

That can and will happen. however, we are not defenseless as Revokers on Jace help prevent that situation. If you can protect Revoker with a mother or an equipment, you're in a great spot. Additionally, creature swarms (Mirran, Serra, Flickerwisp) can help overwhelm Jace, especially if you have an active vial to foil the bounce effect.
Strangely enough, I find that our cards are just more relevant than theirs in this matchup, even if they see more of them.
Do the ShardlessBUG decks in your meta play Liliana?

4x Decay, 4x Lili. Not to mention they also play golgari charm and engineered plague in the side. Last week a few of them maindecked engineered plagues.
Don't even get me started on the UB Tezz decks.
all 4 of them maindecked 2-3 e-plague last week, and in addition they each had 3 dread of night and 2 more damnation in the side.

Now that's hate. They are probably using Hymn to Tourach as well. If they are dedicating half of their sideboards and part of their mainboard to hate you, there's not much you can do other than dedicate half of your sideboard to kill them (Cataclysm/Wilt Leaf/Dedacapod (lol)) which will hurt your other matchups but is worth it if Shardless is a large part of your metagame. You're going to have to make awkward card selection choices (devout witness/war priest of thune) to deal with your local environment that you would never use in a more balanced environment. They are metagaming to hate you out. Congratulations. DnT has become your metagame's boogyman and take it as a compliment to the strength of this deck.
However, this weakens their matchups against other decks.
You can either fight through the hate or switch decks occasionally. Sounds like a wonderful environment for combo to come in and hate them out in response, which will force them to dedicate precious sideboard hate towards that, which will make your DnT matchup next time easier.
Right on Wynk, I think you nailed it perfectly there. When decks are hating on DnT with Dread of Night or Massacre, they are trying to kill one archetype, of which Maverick probably also qualifies - white creatures. That's VERY narrow in a format with probably 70+ viable decks. So many players would have to pickup Taxes for that kind of sideboard choice to be a truly consistent long-term solution. I had to argue for Mindbreak Trap and that only works against 8 decks.

Thanks Swords to Timeshares.
Given the scarcity and price of Karakas I don't think DnT will ever hit critical mass to make dread of night/massacre common in most metagames. It is on people's radar however, so all DnT players should learn how to play against hate as it will be more common.
Note, Monovfox had a serious win streak going at his LGS for a while. It only makes sense his opponents are trying to hate him out. If he starts switching up decks his opponents can't prepare their sideboards for him. There is something to be said for trying to play through the hate though, as he will only get better as a player. However, when people start bringing HATE deck just to beat DnT its time to switch for a bit.

Hopefully less hate at Channelfireball ont he 27th, I still don't have an alt deck yet. Once I get the playset of LEDs and 1 Usea, it will definitely be time for so TES.
Some people who don't know me by my name call me the "DnT Guy". I think the switch can only be beneficial.
Btw, did I mention i had food poisoning during the Deals Open (the only non-local tournament I have ever played at)? It was not a fun day.

I think you just play through the hate monovfox, since you know everyone will have some form of Storm hate anyway. Not that TES isn't a great, but playing despite hate is what finely tunes a deck. If you haven't, try minimizing your x/1s by upping your Crusader and/or Avenger count, adding Fiend Hunter, cutting Flickerwisp to 3, Mangara to 2, etc. Leonin Relic Warder rids you of Dread of Night, and anyway decks that play any of that black hate will be plenty sore when you bring in Wilt-Leaf Liege.
I don't currently have Liege in my 75, but if I run into a black midrange deck packing -1/-1 hate, I'm bringing in my Warder and my Canonists, and probably out goes 2 Mangara and 2 Mindcensor to begin things. This brings the count to 8 out of 15 humans being x/1, 11 out of 23 white creatures being x/1, and 15 out of 27 total creatures being x/1. The last ratio isn't so great, but it's an inherent design with our deck that can't be changed much. You can raise the ratio of non x/1s if also in comes Sunlance, Rest in Peace, etc. and out comes a Revoker or a Wisp. May even be safer to switch a Revoker for a Needle anyway, just to lower your chances of losing the effect to a sweeper.
BTW, DnT just became a Deck to Beat over at MTGTheSource, which means it has placed highly in X number of tournaments this month. The deck is becoming more popular. Sounds good!

I would take it a step further and after playing combo for a week or two let it slip that you traded in your karakas' and ports to finish up your ANT deck. Keep 'em on their toes.
When I attend SCG I always put my DnT deck in a red box that says "Goblins" on it. People always assume they know what they're playing until I drop a Plains!

True. And most of our creature base is strong vs. their creature base. Thalia, Avengers, Flickerwisps and Stoneforge/equipment do work as well.
