My opponent had somewhere near 100 life in a 6 player game, with 10 fliers on the board. He cast Hurricane for 20. I cast Reverberation, doing 320 damage to him.
KO'd a friend from 40 life with Vicious Shadows + Blasphemous Act with a board full of his creatures. The best part was getting this off at 2 life after being pummeled all game.
I tried to come up with a crazy scenario where Norin could otherwise be able to attack, one of which involved Lignify and Doran. But then I couldn't figure out how Lignify could have gotten on Norin without Humility in the first place.
1. Cast Lignify targeting Norin.
2. Cast Stifle in response to this exile trigger.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Edit: That doesn't work...
Also nope, Norin's ability is a trigger and CAN still go on the stack after split second (which only stops activated abilities and spells. (As far as I'm aware.)
Oh, also thread content. One time an opponent had me dead to rights next turn but was tapped out on creatures and mana. I counted up the power of all my creatures that were able to attack, had a brainblast after looking at his board and then attacked, leaving him at 1 life.
Actually, no it doesn't. Trickbind is still a spell and split second doesn't prevent triggered abilities from triggering.
Yeah, I realized my Stifle wouldn't work, was gonna change it to Sudden Spoiling, but saw that split second doesn't stop Norin either. I edited a note into my post, but I guess people didn't see it
Donald had a good one that got overlooked: Sac Academy Rector and attach Lignify to Norin. Doesn't target or trigger him.
And this thread turns into "How to win with Norin through the combat step".
Now that we've covered Humility and Lignify, what's next?
This one isn't commander damage, but equip Mage Slayer and Grafted Exoskeleton to Norin, swing, and kill your opponents if you stack the triggers properly.
My opponent slaughter pacts my guy, then puts slaughter pact sideways on top of his library so he will remember to pay for it before he goes to his draw step.
I cast primal command to gain 7 life, and shuffle his irrelevant graveyard into his library. He flips the slaughter pact over and shuffles it in. I cut his deck, and pass the turn.

Actually, Slaughter Pact was technically in the graveyard, so not illegal at all. Kind of douchey not to ask "Are you paying for your pact?" though.
Gah. You're correct. I must have been thinking of the rebound stuff, which people typically put on top of their library so they remember. My bad. Sorry Elvish Sniper.
Most unlikely way I've ever eliminated an opponent:
This one time I was up against a Niv-Mizzet Wheel deck and he looped a Molten Psyche and I had no response so I quietly laid my hand down on the table, cleared my throat, lifted the needle off the Coasters record that was spinning in the corner and said to him: "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."
Me: "How much life are you at again?"
Opponent I was killing: "5"
Me: "I swing at you with Coalhauler Swine"
Opponent: "I block with Sun Titan"
Me: "...."
Opponent: "What?"
Me: *Points at Coalhauler Swine*
Opponent: "Oh..."
Opponent have avenger of zendikar and 13 3/3 plant tokens, sepulcer primordial, phyrexian metamorph copying Sigarda, Mimeoplasm and several other creatures. His life is 1 (lol)
My hand consists of a lot of lands and useless stuffs, then I draw Nether Traitor.
Summon Nether Traitor and attack for win

Turn two of a 5 person global centered (centered, but global effects are global), someone copies Treetop Village with Thespian's Stage. I attacked him later forgetting he had it, killed Isamaru, swung on me the a few turns later for lethal. Another friend does the same thing with one of his creatures. So, on his turn he casts Wrath of God getting rid of the creatures of the two players and ends his turn. "I draw, make Treetop Village walk, attack." Table went nuts because in the hour and a half that game went on, he only activated his Thespian's Stage three times and we kept forgetting about it.
Killed someone with a Mother of Runes the same night.
I once casted Desertion on an It that Betrays. That doesn't sound too impressive, but you have to understand that my meta is geared towards being able to deal with things like that, so the fact that it was so effective was an unlikely scenario in itself. It was at just the right moment when the other blue player was at a slow point and the guy I took the creature from couldn't deal with it. It was countered at just the right stage of the game where I was able to lock down the table with Annihilator.
It's only unlikely just because it doesn't happen very often since it's meant to be a possibility in my Tariel deck, but once every blue moon, someone puts me at less than 0 life with Phyrexian Unlife out and I get to Repay in Kind.
My opponent had somewhere near 100 life in a 6 player game, with 10 fliers on the board. He cast Hurricane for 20. I cast Reverberation, doing 320 damage to him.
I think the most epic win was flashing in Rain of Gore using Vedalken Orrery when an opponent cast Beacon of Immortality was probably the sweetest kill, simply since it cause a ruling check that lasted over an hour.
They actually got kind of upset about that. Said it was "lame." I was like, "Dude, you're the one playing Pact of Negation."
lol pretty epic.
Back way when, I managed to Reroute an opponent's Door to Nothingness trigger

Things you need to know first: I use Enduring Ideal and my friend had made the statement "there's no way to win a game of EDH with Battle of Wits."
My turn: Enduring Ideal + Twincast. Fetch Battle of Wits and Paradox Haze. Pretty much pass the turn and he says "Ha, you'll get to not win twice as much now."
Things go around the table once, gets back to me.
My second turn: Fetch Greater Auramancy, Opalescence, Eldrazi Conscription, Copy Enchantment (Conscription).
Swing with the 25/25, Annihilator 4, Shroud, Trample, Battle of Wits.

Do you run Battle of Wits solely to do that?

"Pass turn."
"Well, you're dead anyway so just scoop."
"Nah."
"Alright fine, Untap, Upkeep, Phyrexian Arena trigger..."
I'm sure it's happened before though.
Actually, no it doesn't. Trickbind is still a spell and split second doesn't prevent triggered abilities from triggering.

His next turn, he forgets to pay for slaughter pact.
While funny, this is technically illegal because you knowingly let him shuffle the card back into his deck.
