Too funny, how some people interpret these blatant hints :).

I'm overjoyed at the fact that Seize is in the set. Can't wait to see what kind of art is in store for us.

I am absolutely beyond excited for thoughtseize! Personally I'm hoping for rare. Mythic would kill me! I've been wanting to run mono-black (or something close) since returning to magic and it looks like this may be the block to run it; with the loyalty attributes and whatnot it looks promising. But mono black will need a bit more umph--Seize is an amazing start.

i really doubt it will be mythic, since that wouldnt even change much on its price.. in the spoiler its listed as rare too, so im confident that it will be rare.

As good as the card is, it will definitely drop. The amount of new supply will dictate that.

The old Lorwyn ones however, will retain some premium value due to the pimp factor. Remember that just a year ago Thoughtseize was still only $30. $60 didn't happen until this past modern season.

Fine attitude for the exoansion of the game. Lets laugh at people who can spend money on mtg!

I'm happy for Thoughtseize and all, but please Wizards, do not make Chained to the Rocks limited only to a mountain, island, swamp, forest or even plains! This card is already flavourful, no need to make so much weaker just for the sake of flavour!

Nope. I don't have a picture unfortunately What I know is that it's reprinted, and it's rare.

Good to know Thoughtseize is only Rare. It is affordable to me now. : )

I am very glad thought seize has been reprinted I may get into Modern now.

Thoughtseize at rare makes me smile, big time, at all the elitist hoarders who trashed people for not wanted to pay $60 for a discard spell....

Although it is disappointing that Thoughtseize is at rare and not uncommon, I understand WoTC motives.

I am thankful it is being reprinted, and especially thankful it is not mythic (says TK).

I wasn't playing MTG when Thoughtseize was first reprinted, but wasn't it printed at rare and not uncommon to sell packs, even though it is an effect that should be on an uncommon card?

I understand now not downgrading it though, since it's already at rare, and it will serve the same purpose this time around for Wizards in making them a ton of $$$.

Also, what impact, if any, would Thoughtseize at uncommon have on limited?

Hard to say without knowing all the cards, but it would probably be roughly equivalent to Doom Blade in M14. You won't see it that often, and if you are in those colours it'll be a top pick. (Even if you aren't it might be.)

Thoughtseize wouldn't even be an high pick so it would be perfectly fine at unc, but money still money guise.

This set is going to be tough on the old bank account. And I don't say that often.

Uncommon would make it much cheaper, anger collectors and hurt Wizards, so it staying rare is a win-win instead of a loss-loss for them.

As long as the good cards are not mythic, it's never tough on the bank account for me.
