For reference, take a peek at the planeswalker guide here.
A few things were noted.
-The gods are living enchantments. This could mean some very dynamic cards on the rise.
-Each god has a signature equipment. This could explain Artificer's Hex in M14.
-Purphoros is a god. I suspect a cycle of ordeals.
-Purphoros seems to make enchantments come to life.
-There is some art that looks like a sweet burn spell.
Anything else you guys noticed?

Nylea and Purphoros (sp?) are friends. We've already seen a bit of that with the GR cards in the DD. Maybe there are some other color pairings that are significant, albeit not on the level of guilds...?
I'm so glad Erebos didn't get the treatment that Hades has been getting in popular culture for so long:
HE'S DA BAD GUY CUZ HE TALKS 2 DEAD PEOPLE
Something else I noticed, it mentions that Nylea interacts with another god: Karametra, god of the hearth. This isn't one of the main 5 gods we've seen so far. I'm wondering if this is just throwaway flavor, or will there possibly be more gods than the 5 we've seen?
It says that Nymphs have an infusion of night sky like the gods, which seems to indicate that they will be enchantment creatures as well as the gods. That's probably what the stars on the god frames indicate - enchantment creature.
Something else I noticed, it mentions that Nylea interacts with another god: Karametra, god of the hearth.
I was going to say this. A 6th god was mentioned. That must confirm that there are many more gods in the pantheon- and we may see them in the following sets.
Because of this, I want to almost say that we will get the main 5 mono colored ones now, then underneath them there will be something like 10 multicolored ones split into the next 2 sets. They will be somewhat lesser gods, at least lesser than the 5 mono colors.
The 5 mono colors would be the mains and the level of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. The multicolors will all be the level of Ares, Aphrodite, Hermes, Apollo, etc.
Confirmation on additional Gods beyond the first five. Nylea's segment mentions Karametra, the God of the Hearth. And the Harvest, since he's the Agriculture god.
It seems like we pretty much have Gods who are mixes between Greek Deities. Heliod is Apollo and Zeus. Thassa is Athena and Poseidon. Erebos is Hades and Hermes. Purphoros is Hephaestus and Dionysus. Nylea is Artemis and Aphrodite. Karametra is Demeter and either Hestia or Hera.
Its interesting also that each God seems to have one 'big' influence, and one 'lesser' influence.
Edit: Interesting also we have two gender swaps. Poseidon/Thassa and Karametra/Demeter.

Cyme we inne frið, fram the grip of deaþ to lif inne ðis smylte land.
We're looking at a pair of mythic cycles with regard to the main five gods: They themselves, as legendary enchantment creatures, and their signature weapons, as legendary Equipment artifacts.
Apparently lesser deities - Nymphs, for example, but also, say, Purphoros's assistants, get to be enchantment creatures and have Nyx stars in their art too.
- There's more gods then those 5. In Nylea 'personality' a god of heath Karametra is cited.
- Erebos is not the typical black god. There's several things to his character... Tragedy made him cheap and envious but he accepts his fate at the same time. He pity the unfortunates but wish misfortune so other can share his fate. By far the most interesting god (and obviously the one who will play a major role later on).
- Living enchantments all around, from gods, to nymphs to sparks in Purphoros hammer. Enchantment Creatures on the way if you ask me.
- The tribes in Theros seens to be:
Humans (all colors, lower numbers in G and U)
Centaurs (GW)
Merfolks, named as Tritons (U)
Satyr (RG)
Dryads (G)
Nymphs (all colors)
It seens red and black is lacking based on this pw guide. We know of red minotaurs but black is a mystery still.

Sorry if this has been said.
Def more then 5 gods. There will prob be flavor/a card featuring them fighting/arguing, etc.
Prob will also be a land/enchantment about her sacred spot.
The red god seems very big on creation when red is usually more about destruction. I'm hoping for some creative-urge-themed cards and abilities in red. Maybe not straight card draw, but they could be new twists on looting instead or something like new Chandra's 0 ability.

I'm guessing red's going to be the color with the Equipment subtheme, since Purphoros is much like Hephaestus.
Also: Oh wow, they don't even have iron yet. I'm kind of hoping for Karn to show up and blow the ****ing minds of everyone who worships the red god.
Erebos is definitely my favourite god, although I really love what Thassa stands for...the lore in this set honestly has me wanting more and more, most exciting set lorewise for me in a while!

Dekella, a two-pronged spear. Wielding Dekella allows her to control the tides and stir the seas into whirlpools. Legend has it that a mortal sailor once stole Dekella and used it to destroy an enemy fleet, and that Thassa punished the mortal by turning his entire family into eels. devastation tide
"Mastix, a golden-handled whip with an impossibly long lash, like a thin shadow that stretches on forever. The whip is a means of inflicting pain when he must, but its more frequent function is as a snare to pull the reluctant dead into—or back into—his realm"
i love how this is used to keep stuff dead and not to bring it back. possibly "exile target creature from graveyard"?

if they will would be enchantment and creature as type, they would definitly die to naturlyze. but i dont exepct that to be the case to be honest.
i also dont expect them to be creatures, they will have the card-type "God" in my oppinion and nothing else. just like planeswalkers are just planeswalkers.
