Jund is pretty far out of my price range and I'm not a big fan of Deathrite Shaman, the rest of the decks you've all suggest I've looked at in the past, and have felt for the most part either underwhelmed or simply did not enjoy playtesting them.
Have you tried out Death and Taxes yet? It's the only other deck I can think of that sounds close to what you're looking for. I think the deck's pushing 900-1000 completely built if you get decent prices, which is really expensive but sadly nowadays that's the cost of most legacy manabases. Price aside it looks really fun to play. You've probably already considered it, just thought I'd throw it out there just in case though.
I'm thinking of trying to make a deck like the Nic Fit. I just bought myself 3 cabal therapy online. We have a local card store that usually has high prices but since the prices haven't been updated yet they were only $10 each. So now I will have 3 cabal therapy for Nic Fit or any deck that uses Cabal Therapy. I would have most of cards needed to make that deck except any expensive dual lands.
I was just thinking I could make a Nic Fit deck. I wasn't sure if It would be a good deck to make. It seems like a good deck for someone making a deck on a budget. I'm not going use to any dual lands or cabal therapy because that card now is $20. I would just something like Ravnica duals instead. I have most of the cards to make that deck lying around. I would only need to spend about $40 to make that deck. I have 2 Pernicious Deed, 3 Divining Top, 2 Deathrite Shaman, 3 Abrupt Decay and 1 Phyrexian Tower.
It is really good for a budget, because it wants more basics than most legacy decks and doesn't want wastelands either. It's not tier 1 by any means but it's fairly competitive and really fun to pilot, I've been testing the BUG version lately and have to say it's possibly the most fun I've had in Legacy. It's a really difficult deck to play as well though, at least that's what I found. If you're going to make a budget version I'd recommend proxying up the non budget version first and getting some matches in and getting an idea of what you're going to be comfortable with cutting for your budget. Therapy's ridiculously expensive right now but I feel like the Veteran explorer/therapy interaction is one of the best parts of the deck when I'm playing it, personally I wouldn't want to cut it from the deck, but there are other sac outlets out there if you're not willing to buy them.

We have 2 local card stores that are about 15-20 minutes from where I live and my friend lives. The prices tend to be much higher than ebay and much higher than going to the tcgplayer store. They had 8 cabal therapy at $10 and I bought 3. So now I have most of the cards needed for a Nic Fit type of deck. This is if I don't play something like Liliana. I was wanting to make a deck that could be competitive but not being the very top deck. A lot of the time I try to avoid making the most popular deck. They showed the deck results and there was 1 tournament where a Nic Fit deck got 4th places out of about 140 to 150 players. That seems pretty good.

Wow, you got a really good deal, I just picked up my last one for $17 and thought I was getting a deal. I think you made a good choice with the deck, I may be a little biased because I enjoy playing it an abnormal amount though.
gibbousm, I looked up the deck in your signature to get an idea of what you like, and I think Goblins and Zombardment AKA The Walking Dead are possibilities. And for an off-the-wall suggestion, seeing as you like triggers and non-counter control play, might as well give Enchantress a go. None are cheap but all are about half the price of Jund.
Elves isn't a not a control deck, but seeing as the deck you already play has triggers and the ability to beat down or combo, I should mention it.
I'm trying to get back into Legacy but I have slightly limited time. I have many of the pillars of the format and quite a few decks that I am able to build, but I'm unsure as to the best route at the moment. I borrowed my buddies Goblins list last week and split the finals of a small event, but kind of looking for advice as to what to build for this week.
Last week I saw Deathblade, Pox, Jund x2, MUD x2, Omnitell, Goblins, Elves and BUG.
I can currently build BUG/RUG delver, Miracles, xBlade, Goblins, Jund, Pox, and can borrow things to make most other decks (except reanimator/SNT decks). What would be a good thing for this week. I'm hoping to try something different as the last deck I mainly played was RUG. What would you guys recommend?
I wanna start off with a non blue for budget reasons. I'm a combo player in modern, but I know legacy is an entirely different format. Should I start with an aggro deck?
@bluecadet3able: as long as your are comfortable playing a given deck you should play it. Legacy provides many opportunities for non blue combo decks. Elves could be a safe place to start for its aggro/combo potential
@locifer: I would lean towards miracles or esper blade purely for the "play factor." Since you are getting back into the format both should allow you to experience what is out there while giving fairly good matchups across the board. Another benefit of those decks is rewarding tight play so there is an inherit room for growth as well.

It depends on what your goals are. If you are playing combo in Modern, you're probably an experienced player who is comfortable with swingy matchups, and you've got a format to get your jollies in should you get a bit tired of playing a powerful, but very linear, deck in Legacy.
I think you should consider non-LED, mana Dredge.
First off, it's cheap. Really cheap. Almost no commitment to cardboard is required.
Second, it doesn't exist in Modern. Ever wonder why Grave-Troll and Dread Return were banned? This is the reason.
Third, there are a lot of free wins. Very experienced players know Dredge, have the right sideboard cardboard, deploy it properly, and take it down. You'll beat most of the other players. It's easy to place with Dredge at smaller events, but difficult to win with it. This makes the deck a fine choice for a seasoned player looking to accumulate store credit for another deck.
Just don't overdo it. If a place gets a reputation as a haven for graveyard decks, folks will start putting 7-8 sideboard slots into dedicated hate. On the plus side, people will stop playing Reanimator, so once you switch decks there won't be a lot of that to worry about.
OTOH, if you prefer to play with elegant cards that others will want to trade for, definitely do not play old school Tireless Tribe mana Dredge.
I'd like to use as many of those cards as I can, but I'm not super fussed. Obviously I'll have to get fetches to make pretty much any deck. I don't have a very strict budget, but would still rather not spend more than I have to. In terms of what deck I want to play, I'm leaning towards something BUG, either Shardless or Control. Suggestions please

BUG is good, you could also make deathblade as well.
Based on those cards alone I would have said some flavour of BUG. Jace/liliana feel like the only other cards you need to consider before picking a direction otherwise it sounds like the deck is built already.

I am currently working on selling my dredge deck. I am trying to find a deck I won't get bored with due to how much money I am going to be sinking into it. I want something that has decent matchups against everything, is fun to play, isn't super repetitive and possibly can win different ways. I am currently looking at the the following:
B/U Reanimator
B/G Elves
U Merfolk
Death and Taxes
If you really want BUG I would say go the control route as a good stuff deck or a delver variety. That way you are at least getting staple cards that can move into other archetypes thus getting a little more bang for your buck.
@helghast
Those decks listed all come off as repetitive to me so in not really sure where to go with that in mind. I will say esper blade is probably the poster child of decision trees, ways to win, build options, etc. Otherwise I may lean towards elves over DnT just for generic use reasons.

While I am not any authority in this format, I do enjoy stoneblade variants. While my main bag is EDH i still maintain a "Junkblade" Legacy deck that is quite successful when i play it. I particularly like how I can usually eke out wins game one simply though the amount of hand hate the deck packs.

Thanks to Heroes of the Plane Studios for the amazing sig!
I don't really have a budget. I have plenty of legacy staples and should have no problem trading for just about anything.
I play a bg shell in modern and I wanna try something different. So no bob, drs, liliana decks. I want something that can play well against aggro and not auto loose to combo g1. There is a lot of budget mono colored decks in my meta. Also affinity, Jund, pox, high tide, goblins, fish, and belcher
What's fun to play that is competitive and could easily evolve over time to adjust to meta changes.
I am thinking about getting back into legacy, there is a LG near me that has legacy every Friday night. The meta is unknown to me and a lot of famous mtg writers ply
Play there (not that it matters just stating the level of competition). Combo will be my type of deck choice. I started playing during Urzas block standard and the original Academy deck ruined any other deck choice for me. I had my eye on TES SI, ANT, and High Tide. I already have candelabras for tide not that it matters money is not really an object so please don't be your choices on that, just the best one for an open meta. I know most of these are storm decks I just don't know the main difference between them.
