In the same way you can tell someone is from the XVIII century because he is arroused by ankles, you can tell someone is from USA because he feels nipples disturbing.
Wow, that was a lot of condensed story. Xenagos is already a god? The gods are waging war on mortals? Geez. I'm interested to see the mechanic associated with the Nyxborn. And the new art is great.
Where have I heard this before? Oh right, that was the plot of Kamigawa block.
To be honest, I don't think anyone knew or bothered to care about what went on in Kamigawa block. All I know is that something was taken?

The only good thing about this post is the edible chocolate roaches they gave out! Mmm mmm!
*crawl crawl*
Wait a minute, edible roaches don't crawl! EDIBLE ROACHES DON'T CRAWL!
Nice to know that there's someone else out there looking for ways to battle the Eldrazi! Kiora better stop, though, Thassa's 5/5 body can take her out in one hit, regardless of whether she +1's or -1's.
And that Mogis art (I don't see any other way it ISN'T him - we know his minotaur links, plus he seems bigger than the background, which is common for the gods) is amazing. I do hope he's playable.
I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.
I'm guessing that Xenagos art is the card art. I much prefer that to the one that is likely going on the fat pack poster. Also, that's either Anax of Cymede(don't know which is which) in the first pic with the doorway to Nyx. Second on Awesome Mogis art. I'm glad he is actually a minotaur as opposed to the other humanoid gods other than thassa. I hope Pharika is a gorgon, and Phenax is like a siren or something. There was an art that seems to depict iroas as a centaur? So hopefully the rest of the pantheon can get the nonhuman treatment.

To be fair, isn't that pretty much every block? I mean there are a few exceptions, but most blocks (especially set #2) have this same plot line. Not that this is bad, because it's pretty classic story telling, and RTR block did break from that mold some after Innistrad.

I agree with the gods being better as non human like beings. I think the centaur was Karametra though. But I could see Iroas being it
Oh, and this has given me newfound appreciation for Xenagos:
to become the god of revels
All the poor guy wants to do is to turn Theros into one eternal Project X. That's it. Not swallow the world whole, or turn it into some planet composed of sick monsters, he just wants to party. One big party. I can't believe I've been antagonizing him all this time.

I bet that if they would have not screwed up and allowed the spoiler art to be discovered last year, they would have slow-rolled it into a big shocking reveal that *gasp* Xenagos becomes a God.
But it happened, the community pretty much knows about it, so they have moved on.

When asking for if something was stolen on Kamigawa:
Have some irony:
I can't believe they would tell us this much about the story before the book comes out.

Practice for Khans of Tarkir Limited:
Draft: (#1) (#2) (#3) (#4) (#5)
Also, Kiora trolling Thassa. Lawl.
Theros is not going to be Kamigawa. The stories may be similar, but Theros is already way better.

My guess is whole new. MaRo said BNG would have a new mechanic for the Enchantment Creatures.

Yes, That Which Was Taken was taken.

In other news, I love that Jason Chan did the art for both Xenagos.

Go Xenagos!
Does that mean that we aren't getting Bestow back?

Nyxborn sound really neat, I'm guessing they are our enchantement creatures of this set.
