Makes me sad when the format's new taxing counter and bounce are, respectively, Spell Snip, which is the worst reprint of Complicate ever, and Resouding Wave, which has a cycling ability people would think it's flavor text.

Ya no kiding. So far Shards is junk, especially for this archetype.
c'mon BL, tell us how you really feel. is this archetype dead or what?
personally, i'd say "well, just about." loss of the major enabler, lots of sb hate available, no new (good) toys (yet), and a format that seems to favor other creature types doesn't look quite so favorable for lark.
that said, i'm still looking for ways to use lark elsewhere...
WUG Looks like one of the more playable versions. I guess. With Elvish visionaries, a decent card from a horrible set, and mull drifters, sowers, and more sheananigans.
Or we could become revalted.(reveillark + Exalted.) It could be possible, just weird and not super awesome.
Artifact R
Whenever a nontoken creature comes into play under your control, you may pay . If you do, put a token into play that's a copy of that creature. That token has haste and "At end of turn, sacrifice this permanent."
----
that is so freakin' good with reveillark and co., i can't believe it. i still don't think lark survives as a deck, but this is just an awesome artifact w/ cip/evoke creatures.
beyond the obvious (copy mul, sower, maw, lark, etc), what are the best ways to abuse this thing?

If it's destroyed, we can bring it back with Treasure Hunter, too.
It's very slow, though. Like, it's almost at a crawl.

yeah, but lark banks on the long game anyway. in a more control oriented deck (and in a slower format generally), i don't think this thing is impossible to abuse.
i'll get back to you on the pm later tonight or maybe tomorrow a.m. tx
Gave it a quick go against Doran and didn't love it very much. Seems like it stats the game 2 turns behind everything else if you don't have Remove Soul.

If your in a position where a 5cc Artifact, plus a 2cc mana investment every creature, is relevant, the game should be over anyway, or opponent is playing 60 Mountains.dec
Has anyone actually tested Mistmeadow Witch? I know it looks slow/innefecient or clunky, but the threat it has on the board is amazing and it is very difficult to get rid of (Lark + Inbuilt Turn to Mist). It either forces out an answer or provides you with great card advantage and choice.

Yes. I play a singleton copy and it's amazing. I would never play more than one, though.
to me the loss of wall of roots and body double damper this deck more then anything. if we just had a body double "damn you clone" this deck would be ok. As for testing a new deck, i've been working on this:
Reveilark as a concept isnt meant to snip lands, so I dont see why running a 2/2 for 3 mana is neccesary.
I'm also curious if the deck should even run sower of temptation. The reason sower was insane was because it was blue creature removal at worst. Now it's just a temporary hoser. The boomerang on a stick also seems really not good to me. Its strictly worse then turn to mist.
If I was to move into reveilark I would probobly tune it with an elemental base like in block. Those decks are rediculous and the options seem to be endless as virtually everything has its own use.
this first thing you should do is cut 1 wrath for the 4th cryptic as its just better and you only need 3 wrath's before boarding fullminator might work but i think is better sb material im not really sure what to put there as wizards is again forcing us to use ****ing cancel
What about that Skill Borrower creature? If you have Reveillark on top you can go infinite with Mogg Fanatic/Witsniper with the Mirror Entity original list.
If you going to run something like that take a look at the block Elementals decks and go from there.

Hasn't skill borrower been confirmed as only geting activated abilities?

I will play what wins, not what is convenient. Personal preference is nothing, The win is all that matters. I will netdeck at every opportunity, but I will not let that stifle my creativity. Style points do not appear on tournament reports. A good deck with an incompetent pilot is nothing more than a dressed up match win. I will crush my opponent mercilessly, and expect no less from him. Victory is its own reward, The prize is just a bonus.
Legacy is dying
Hasn't skill borrower been confirmed as only geting activated abilities?
You are correct. According to the spoiler, it says "activated abilities". It says nothing about triggered abilities and Lark is all about triggered abilities. Therefore, Skill Borrower does not work.
Hasn't skill borrower been confirmed as only geting activated abilities?
Oh, I guess it has.
I didn't really know it wasn't 100% confirmed in the first place. Oh well.
I mean, my argument still stands (because we could use Clone).

Just out of curiousity, what does Lark lose when rotation comes up? I`m not a Lark fan but my brother is and he keeps on harping about how Lark is dead after rotation. Like I said, just curious.

But back on the topic of reviving reveillark.
BL is probably right, but the deck is going to be alot slower.

You'd also need Flamekin Harbinger.
Have you ever played with that? Have you ever played with Merrow Witsniper or Mogg Fanatic (in control)? Hell, for that matter, have you ever played with Skill Borrower by itself? They're all crap.
