What is the greatest comeback ever in Standard T2 Tourneys? And by greatest comeback I mean the player who wins overcomes an insurmountable obstacle to take the win.
For example, winning at 1 life where as his opponent had more than 20 or so.
In a related topic but different median, I present you the pure definition of "Greatest Comeback Ever" = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgSAOxwr0xE (Turn up the sound )
My example, although very minute and insignificant, was when I was playing UR runeflare without draw artifacts and runeflares to hardcast against a Jund player with a tapped abyssal persecutors, as well as being taped out. I was down to about 2 life. I had 2 calcite snappers out and had no lands to play, so I attacked with my snappers for 2 (opponent is at 12). I cast a timewarp. I topdeck another timewarp. I attack for 2 more (he's at 14). I cast timewarp (at this point he's sweating). I top deck yet ANOTHER timewarp and swing for 2 (hes at 16!). I cast timewarp again and he is in disbelief. I topdeck a lightning bolt, swing for 2 and kill him
*Edit* Just realized this might be better in the General Forum
My opponent is playing UW with an exorbitant amount of mana available. I'm playing UB vampires. He casts a martial coup for 14, and a mind spring for 7 the next turn. I had a grim discovery and vampire nighthawk in hand, 6 lands, and 24 life. I won 5 turns later. via recursion of nighthawks and Malakir bloodwitches.
While not qualifying as greatest it's comeback I'm not likely to forget anytime soon. I was playing Jacerator pre-Worldwake and not long after Zendikar was released. I was playing against RDW with no life gain in the deck. The guy I was playing had me for lethal on the next turn between Plated Geopedes and Hellspark Elementals in his graveyard. I'm looking at a hand of Path to Exile, Archive Trap, Archive Trap, Archive Trap, Twincast and Twincast with 5 mana on the board. So at the end of my turn assuming death was a mere minute away I Pathed one of his Geopedes and dropped down the Traps and the Twincasts for good measure after he finished searching. Needless to say that guy has never searched off of a Path against me since. It was funny too because I had won the first game off the back of a free Archive Trap.
My best comeback is killing with valakunt in response to lethal dmg form a runeflare trap. I had a valakunt out but had exausted my hand, in his upkeep i took about 8 from a series of underworld dreams then he casted the trap to finish me off, i reponded by casting the 2 harrows activating the 2 kalhani i had in play and sacrificing a goblin token to siegegang and finish it off.
and yeah calling cruel is still the best top deck ever.

my greatest magical comeback ever:
shadowmoore was still legal, and I was playing a deck called "Two Scoops", a group effort between PrideofTheClouds, TwoonEightMagic, and myself. the main goal of the deck was to stall for as long as humanly possible, and create a game state that was so static and dull it made the opponent want to concede. Win conditions at first were recycling resounding thunder over and over via mistviel plains, but eventually shifted to more popular, practical methods like oona's grace and my card of choice, obelisk of alara. needless to say, when the deck worked, it resulted in some of the most boring games ever for my opponent and wins for me.
there was a gentleman at the store that for whatever reason thought I absolutely sucked at life, found my tastes in music, movies, magic, women, drink and clothes utterly distasteful, and overall was just a massive, massive troll. his deck reflected his attitude: he played RB aggro, aggressively and with the cockiest attitude I've ever encountered. he thought he couldn't be beat.
we had to play against each other one day. game one he begrudgingly conceded after I explained to him that with no maindeck enchantment hate, there was no possible way he could get through story circleand runed halo calling his main color and threats. game two he sided in a lone copy of banefire and thought this would be a sound strategy still after I landed Obelisk. when he wasn't drawing into Banefire he began to trash talk loudly, saying that I was a ☺☺☺☺ty player and that my deck sucked all the fun out of magic. I proceeded to calmly let the game turn into "lay a land, go" between the both of us while he continued to shoot off at the mouth, upset that I wasn't getting the slightest bit angry.
he finally topdecked banefire, tapped out and triumphantly yelled the cards name, completely forgetting to pay attention to the field. I then tapped obelisk to boost my health 5 points in response, taking me to three, and I then burned him to death with obelisk on my turn.
I've never seen someone so angry to loose a game in my entire life. I've had a few more epic wins since then, but they can't measure up to making this moron seeth in rage.

Actual Truth:
"You heard it here folks:
Anyone who disagrees with "Jack from NC" is an idiot."-The Dead Weatherman
My opponenet is playing a mono white, soldier/lifegain deck and I'm using a RW Valakut Control deck. At one point he is at 47 life and I am at 4. I had finally pumped up my Ajani Vengeant enough to do his ultimate after I cast Day of Judgement. From that point on, he couldn't do anything I didn't have an answer for. I was able to cast a second Ajani Vengeant later on and activate its ultimate as well. In addition to that, I had to activate the ultimate ability on Chandra Nalaar (the exact same Chandra card) twice to beat him.
This just happened yesterday.
OtV vs Jund
I am at 4 life he is at 20, only thing in play is a leach. I have two filigree angels and a sanguine bond in my hand. I top deck a Spinx of lost truths, play and discard the 2 angels and sanguine bond. I drew 2 land and an OtV. His turn he says land go. my turn, untap draw OtV for the win
"In the finals of Pro Tour Paris 1997, Long was playing Mark Justice. In one game, Long, piloting his Prosperous Bloom combo deck, faced a situation where he would lose unless he could win on his current turn. According to Mark Rosewater, in order to get his combo to go off, he needed to discard his sole copy of Drain Life, the only card in his deck capable of dealing damage and thus killing his opponent. After drawing a large number of cards with a large Prosperity, Long showed his hand to Justice to communicate that he had the game won and would only waste time going through the motions. As Justice did not know the exact contents of Long's deck, he was unaware that Long had discarded his only copy of Drain Life and thus had no way to win the game. Justice conceded the game and went on to lose the match."
I was playing an Acidic Slime ramp deck this past friday. In game 3 my opponent, who was playing UW control, landed Elspeth, Knight-Errant and on the following turn decided I had too many Acidic Slime and Borderland Ranger in play. He swung at me with a 4/4 flying soldier and then cast Martial Coup for 5. At this point I'm at 5 life, my opponent is tapped out and I have 3 Lavaball Trap in my hand. I draw for the turn, play a land, and cast an unopposed Lavaball Trap to take out two blue sources. He draws for his turn, creates a soldier, and passes having 6 lands in play and 2 challice set at 2 and 3 counters. I draw for turn (It's Lavaball Trap) and repeat the process of casting lavaball trap and passing, until he's out of lands. I then drop Baneslayer Angel and pass. He plays an island. On my next turn I drop Ajani Vengeant and a Borderland Ranger and hit his Elspeth for 5 with Baneslayer, while attacking him for 7 with a stirring wildwood and raging Ravine. On his turn he creates a token plays a glacial fortress, draws 5 with Mind Spring and passes. On my turn I animate 1 Raging Ravine and 2 stirring wildwood. I helix his soldier and swing with all my creatures for lethal damage.

My turn 1: Mulligan. Mulligan (!). Mulligan (!!). Mulligan (!!!). Vault of the Whispers, Disciple of the Vault.
Turn 2: Seat of the Synod, Arcbound Ravager, attack for 1.
Turn 3: Thoughtcast, Great Furnace, Frogmite.
It was game 3, we were 1-1. I drew both copies of Crovax, Ascendant Hero that I had brought in, and had played them both in subsequent turns. He had countermagic for both. It was only at that point that I realised I had a Cloudthresher in hand that I could have, at any turn, cast EoT to draw countermagic and resolve Crovax the next turn. If I lost this match, I wouldn't qualify for Nationals. Board:
So I began my turn, praying to draw a card that can get me there, like Firespout or Makeshift Mannequin, when he casts Mistbind Clique in my upkeep. He has no mutavaults in play. He only has mana up for Spellstutter or Rune Snag, neither of which have a chance of countering my Thresher. It resolves, his guys all die, I have a 7/7. He makes a land and says go. I hit him for 10 on his next turn, put him to 4 and try for another Finks. It gets countered. I make a very large Tarmogoyf instead. He UUD's then scoops them up.
To this day, I have never loved a deck more than I have that one. There were just so many backbreaking plays you could make, and having 11 maindeck answers to Magus of the Moon didn't hurt either.
i was playing elfdrazi at my fnm, and i was losing to vampires. he was at 30+ life and i was at 2. the guys mom called and said it was time to leave. i won the match by forfeit.
I was playing in a Z/Z/W draft over the weekend. I'm playing R/B/W and my opponent is playing R/W. I win game 1 and game 2 life totals are 23-1 in my favor. This is late game, so there's plenty of mana for each of us to work with. I move into the attack phase and one of my creatures gets pitfall trapped. I now have two creatures out, one of which is a Bojuka Brigand cast that last turn...so 1 blocker. He draws, casts Goblin Shortcutter targeting my lone blocker, then casts a kicked Goblin Bushwhacker. I have no tricks, block the shortcutter killing my creature and get dealt 11 damage. His creatures are all tapped and he has two cards in hand. My Brigand can only attack, so I swing hoping he has no tricks--Veteran's Reflexes. DAMN! I end up losing two turns later.
Between Craig Jones' comeback and Nassif's, I'd say the Lightning Helix topdeck was much better. I didn't even understand half of what was going on between Chapin and Gabriel.
Can't remember if it's my best comeback but a few weeks ago while playing Grixis control I was facing 2 nyxathid's down to about 5 life, no cards in hand, and top decked a treasure hunt. Drew 7-8 cards off of the treasure hunt into cruel ultimatum to wipe the board and have a come from behind win
I loved the Chapin Dragonstorm mirror (at Worlds a few years back) where he had got hit with a Ignite Memories for like 6 with an Ignite of his own in hand and at low life. He then proceeds to reveal 5 lands and a nonland card taking 1 or 2 damage. He combos off and kills the opponent next turn.
If I recall correctly...his opponent was Nassif.
