Not sure where I could find a cut for this card but it definitely merits testing. Thinking of it as a grizzly bear with persist as a worst case scenario is pretty sweet. I can't wait to get some extensive testing with it this weekend.
I wish this card was R/G.
He would be an auto include no matter what if he was RG.
I think he is great, better then what most people think he is going to be.
Not including hybrid I think Voice's only competition is Pride Mage, which largely depends on the board state (and match up). If you're not playing Voice its because you don't own one.
I think it's a nice way for Selesnya midrange decks to combat counterspell based control decks too. It's always nice to have extra tools that help to shore up your deck's biggest weaknesses.
This card is going to subtly effect a lot of boards. I suspect he will often be unblocked just so he doesn't die and create a 5/5 or something. I agree Voice would be great in RG, but the token couldn't be in two better colors than green and white.
I think it will often fall short of being a hard-to-cast Grizzly Bear with undying and even that is still significantly worse than Strangleroot Geist
It has persist in a sense if you don't cast anymore creatures. Imagine them wrathing this guy away and you following up with a creature or two, now all of a sudden you don't have a 1/1 anymore. And that's insane for 2 mana. Not to mention this is a 2 mana card that forces your opponent to play different (in a good way).

This is exactly what happened for us tonight. We had a 4 player draft and 2 players were control. I didnt get a chance to see the VoR in action myself but the GW drafter said it was one of his MVP cards. This is most likely a card that will stick around just not sure if the final cut will be Loam Lion or Qasali. We took out the Lion tonight but I cant say if that was right call. When we draft 6+ players I feel theres more than enough artifact hate to go around but when we are 4 players it feels a tad low. The same seems true for the 1 drops as well but to a lesser extent.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
I like how this card supports both W/G aggro and can help out W/G token decks. Even if she doesn't crack my gold section on power level alone, I might want to include her as a representation of what G/W does in my cube.

Pridemage is so much more than Artifact hate, it's instant speed, enchantment hate, and a huge body. Loam Lion is much worse.

Loam lion is not as "sexy" as pridemage, but it gets the job done. I'd hate to cut either one, but with all the swords running around, you can't afford to lose pridemage.
This card only hit the board one time last night (EDIT: for my opponent). It started as a 2-mana grizzly bear with persist (its worst case scenario). However, my opponent dropped two more creatures the turn after the token hit the board & it quickly became a 3/3 (aka a grizzly bear with undying). I can't wait to see it in action against a blue deck or somehow splashed in a Recurring Nightmare deck.
We still have 100 cards to go in DGM but I think that ultimately I will cut the green & white sections by one card each because of the hybrids Dryad Militant & Kitchen Finks to make space for the Voice.

This thread hasn't been active for a few days. Has anyone completed more in depth testing of VoR @ 360? We are thinking about testing Voice but I don't like any of the cuts. Would you include VoR over: Kitchen Finks, Dryad Militant or Qasali Pridemage?
We don't support green aggro but Militant is right at home in any of the white weenie decks or aggressive boros decks. It doesn't have a ton of extra applications with the added ability but there are a few good ones, for sure.

I'm going to run the math on my aggressive 1-drop saturation and see if I can afford this same change. I might be able to.

Yeah, I think so. It gives you something way better than a 2/1 that can't block and it hoses instants on top of that.
