just updated the primer. took out "chocolate drow" and "bloodbraid drow" lists for now, because i don't feel they have enough testing yet and stray from the core concepts.
i was combing some old top-8 recorded elf lists in 2011 and i found Faerie Macabre in the sb of Alexander Beiersdorfer's deck. possibly worth a shot vs yard decks and can be dug with lead the stampede.
So far my second day of testing didn't go as well as my first day of testing. Went 3 out of 5 games losing to really strange decks.
Heres my list lemme know what you think, i have also included a sideboard. Now my one problem with most of the decks i've created is that, i always mess up the sb :)! But please pick it apart tell me what i'm doing wrong etc etc.
Once again please pick a part or destroy this list as much as possible if you wish, my only concern so far is Ezuri, since everytime i have seen him i don't need him or I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO TOPDECK THIS CARD!!!!
I had some epic games vs an interesting R/W/U Delver deck tonight. Let me elaborate... We played 2 sets of best-of-3 matches. each set we went 1-1, but i ended up losing them both (QQ). they were epically fun though. along with his assortment of counter-magic and removal, the kicker ending up being his land destruction (boom and bust). i realized since my elf list runs so few lands, land destruction is quite good vs me. on top of that, i really have no basic answer to flying creatures (besides essence warden). i kept thinking how amazing scryb ranger would have been vs that matchup. not only could he block any flying blue beats, he could also deny any land hate to my forests... but none were in my list at the time. food for thought.
i also have not been pleased with Dryad Militant, but will keep testing.

Anyways lemme know
essence warden is not that great in elfgro... its more of a SB card really.
he is running regals and ezuri. his list looks more combo to me than aggro.
you deck looks fine. take out ezuri (havn't been liking him lately) and put in any more joragas if you can. put the zealots in sb. joraga are better than imperious for combo lists. and also maybe try squeezing in 2 chord of calling or cloudstone.
you mentioned you were losing games, but it seemed from what you hinted at that it may be more your skill level than card choice. keep up the practice!!
also if your confused sideboarding, take time to examine your meta. fill your sideboard with cards that you know will help you vs matchups you will be in. also don't be afraid to put the prowess into your sideboard. they arn't always needed mainboard.
I like the idea of elvish champion mainboard, but to be honest, ive tested with wren's a lot i haven't found it as useful as warden even. If i go off with hertiage and warden is on the board i gain a ton of life

if your running chord of calling then elvish champion can be a decent singleton to fetch vs decks running forests. the idea of her is nice, but our elves are so big anyways that the forest walk isn't really making the difference.
I agree, the 2 mana for the Wren's are cute in a beatdown-deck, but your actual T2 mana should go to nettle/heritage or a lord in your hand.
I am still a fan of the Warden especially at protects you goblin/burn decks in the early turns. That and opponents try to poke it regularly, wasting a card.
the warden wins us games vs some match ups. she is really good for us.
this Drow primer was just the warmup. i'm working on an Elf edh primer. my personal favorite format. wanna help with some images once i get things written out?
This is an updated version, and some sideboard changes: Prowess for removal, Krosan for Splinter, Choke for any blue deck, Abrupt decay for anything peesky, Creeping Corrosion of extra infinity hate, and the last elvish champion just cause. Any ideas?

Raking Canopy punishes just about any flier you will come across; Geist Angel, Resto Angel, Pestermite and Faeries, Delver, Tokens, Inkmoths and Colonnade, Vault Skirges etc etc. And can dodge creature hate. And can be played T2 from a dork. But cannot be collected from Lead the Stampede, and certain Swords of XY still cause grief if you can't deal with them. I'm a stout user of Nature's Claim, also allowing you to gain 4 life if things get desperate rofl

right.. racking canopy. forgot about that card. if you can squeeze it in your deck, it seems like a decent option if your facing a lot of flyers. on the flip side, alot of the flying meta is blue isnt it? which scryb ranger can handle no prob.
Scryb Ranger is amazing and can help you with your tempo too; surprise blocking, or floating mana to bounce and replay a land etc. Dodges Spell Pierce (seeing more play) but not Spell Snare (seeing less play). Obtainable via Lead the Stampede. But Scryb can only block one creature at a time, dies to literally any type of spot removal besides Psionic Blast, and isn't an Elf.
Guess it depends on what you prefer. Scryb Ranger is amazing and versatile, maybe I am just used to MonoG having issues with fliers.. Raking Canopy fits this niche perfectly.

So here is an updated version of the deck, I'm still looking for ideas on the sb, i find that raking canopy does more for me than krosan grip would against splinter twin, plus it stops resto kiki combo which is amazing as well.
So i feel that my main board is almost finished and i want to try and play with some of my buddies in my current meta and see what i can do to make it better for my meta.
Any more suggestions or concerns please feel free to offer suggestions anyway you can.

Well i find them useful for 3 main reasons.
One, there is a lot of green in the format, and forestwalk i found useful in 75% of my matches.
Two, its a lord to elves, so any sort of pump is awesome.
Three, it itself is an elf which sticks to the tribal theme and has synergy with most of the deck(heritage druid, archdruid, nettle).
I was actually thinking about taking out wren's run vanquisher, and maybe put back in viridian zealot idk its kind of even to be honest but any sort of artifact/enchantment hate mainboard i assume is a good thing.
I'm still testing which one i feel is better for the deck, however, i have had wren win me some games as well.
thanks!!
