soemthing im not sure if anyones caught yet...but she -can- be targeted by colored permanents. permanents are no longer spells after resolution, so she still dies to 't: destroy target tapped creature', and she -can- be targeted by deathless angel.

yep. there's something really anti-climatic about a goldmeadow harrier stopping a giant with a slingshot.

Same reply I had to people throwing the Yugioh thing around in the Speculation forum> When a person can't form their own argument for why they dislike something other than some compulsive need to follow the crowd, it's easier and more convenient to sling around wholly irrelevant comparisons to other games regardless of how asinine it is. Some times (read: often) it's like there's multiple Glenn Becks posting on the forums.
Assuming people's reasoning for arguments without in depth knowledge of the person is almost as ignorant, if not more so, than forming an argument based on mob rule. Calling comparisons irrelevant based on your liking of one game over another is pretty ignorant too, people can make opinions without you having to attack them because your are a homer of magic. I'm sure you thought that the trap spells also had nothing to do with YuGiOh besides sharing the word trap.
Also, I have no idea why or how you brought Glenn Beck into this, other than trying to attack people based on political affiliation.
That said: I think that the pre-release art for Emrakul is horrible, not nearly as cool as the one posted off the magic website for a card we dont have yet nor the regular art for Emrakul. Also, I think the Minotaur is kind of a loser card and I am sad that it is the release promo.
Emrakul is now in my opinion, the god of Timmy cards. It might not be the best card, (because of mana cost), but it's a pretty awesome one. I wonder how much it'll start at. Maybe $7.00?

Yeah except for the fact that it is already $29.99 on Channelfireball.com although i expect it to eventually go down

This card is no Baneslayer I will give you that but in all honesty in the current Standard and Extended format it is equally as scary. Screw casting this guy obviously but Summoning trap decks have been around and this guy now replaces Empyrical Archangel and possibly even Iona in those lists. Summoning trap at eot and seriously short of counterspells there is nothing that can stop this if its in the top 7. If they print colorless removal that is good enough he may not see much play but as is now both Summoning Trap and Hypergenesis just became a whole lot scarier with this guy around. Not sounding like a Timmy or anything but with Mirrodin rotating next season Chalice (the bane of Hypergenesis) will be gone making it a possible forefront contender in the tier 1.

yes turning of the tide that was a nice, props on breaking the deck
I just thought up a fun combo. It's not ROE limited, so it's not exactly relevant, but it's just one of those fun oooh, look at the big numbers things. Anyway, here it is: Basilisk Collar (or similar) + Lord of Shatterskull Pass (fully leveled) = Kill all opposing creatures, gain 6x+6 life, where X is the number of creatures defending player controls. I think it's fun.
So here's a question. If we have both card arts for the actual Emrakul, then what pray-tell does this beastly art do? I was so hoping this would be the normal card art as it really shows off how much of a powerhouse he is...
That is the art for the new 3BB instant that destroys all creatures with CMC 3 or less.

I like Emrakul. And with the variety of ways to make Eldrazi Spawn tokens, it may be possible to hard cast him occassionally. Splinter Twin on Emrakul's Hatcher comes to mind. But most likely, he will join Iona, Shield of Emeria in a Polymorph deck. You don't get the extra turn this way, but the rest works.
As for the Minotaur, not bad. Level Up still seems slow as a mechanic, but the set is supposed to be a little bit so anyhow (hence all the walls). Still, 3/3 for 3R turn 4 (sooner with mana accel), 6/6 for 1R more turn 5. Not too bad. Keep feeding him a little mana now-and-then and eventually he's a win condition. If nothing else, people will always try and kill him to keep that from happening. If nothing else, Level Up creatures draw kill spells.

A 6/6 attacker at turn 5 is not bad, and if you managed to get to final level you get yourself a super trampler. Sort of
www.starcitygames.com has it for $14.99 (pre-order price started at $12.50 a few days ago)
