Okay, that is damn cool. I don't actively play MTGO, but spoilers like this really tempt me to start. The Commander format loves this too, I would imagine.
Also, it's a damn shame we don't have anything similar to the Master's Edition for paper Magic. Not only would it be incredibly fun to draft, it would also help reduce the prices of (non-reserve list ) cards across the board. Granted, a lot of the most wanted cards for Master's are on the reserve list, so maybe that's mostly stopping WotC.
And while were on the topic of time vault who the ☺☺☺☺ thought that was ok? Seriously that design is lulz stupid
Same dooders who thought that Raging River, Balance, Mox Ruby, Illusionary Mask (pre-Dreadnaught of course), Chaos Orb, and Sol Ring were all okay. When you look at TV's brothers, he fits right in. And to think, he was meant to combo with Twiddle and Animate Artifact + Instill Energy!

Time Vault was printed before it was really viable to go infinite with it. But it's still a part of Magic, so why not make it available for people to play with?
Fingers crossed that the Time Vault reprint signals the power 9, and by extension, vintage on mtgo. Awesome stuff.
Will vault be a money card? It doesn't have the utility of Force of Will or a dual land, but it does auto-win games. I'm wondering will this be a huge card like force, or a cheaper card like Bazaar of Baghdad. It probably depends on if vintage becomes a reality online.

Main thing holding Time Vault down will be that it's not a 4x in decks that use it. My guess is that Mishra's Workshop (not revealed yet, but can't not be present) might possibly end up being the most expensive card in MED4 as it's a critical leg of the Vintage metagame and needs to be 4x in the deck. Maybe Black Lotus (if present) will be, but demand would have to at least four times greater for that to happen, certainly possible, maybe probable, but not absolute.
There are 105 rares, and there definitely aren't 105 OTHER cards left to put in MED sets that are more deserving of rare status than Regrowth
I agree with that statement 100%. However, the maximum number of rares this set should have, by any design standard, modern or old, is 86. Why they added 19 rares by promoting unnecessary cards, just to discourage people from playing Legacy and Classic with unnecessarily higher priced decks, is beyond me.
Unless they have the Power 9 in there. With that I could accept the weird rare distribution.
86 makes perfect sense if they added P9 and reprints of the duals into the MED4 mix however. (Although I'd have expected the P9 slots to be mythic obviously though)

It'll be restricted. And of course it's banned in Legacy. Hard for a card like that to be a "money" card.
