Yes, but there is a combo deck that was fairly successful in T2 that runs it and cantrip artifacts. This would be another cantrip to choose from when making that deck for extended.
I notice nobody replied about affinity. Is it that bad an idea?

It's kind of another moment when we throw our hands up and go "DAMMIT universe, why you gotta always make me look bad in front of everyone?".

So TPS isn't worth it? ANT was also a tier 1 deck that wasn't infinite, like clamp elves would likely be (just as another example, I know clamp is banned).

it's consistent, it's repeatable and it WILL get you to infinite turns
That is pretty sick, I just like to play the extended version. Besides, it does not have to be infinant turns, just drop Tez, +1, crack Time Sieve + Open the vaults next turn or just cast Time Warp. GG
UB proliferate deck is looking pretty tier right about now, (especially with black sun's zenith). Sacking shouldn't be a problem.
Great? no. Decent? ..... maybe. I'd rather have urza's bauble over this any day of the week. Anyone remember bauble necro? Now THAT was some card advantage...

what i meant was that if its time sieve, its not worth it if its not infintie
Lack of self-destruct kinda hurts it, but then again, we have Throne of Geth at least. Or so. At least it can draw you two cards, and for 2 mana, that's pretty good.
Yes, this is exactly what my Tezzerator deck was waiting for...! I was hoping against hope that this set would give me another two-mana cantrip artifact, and now my prayers have been answered.
The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.

Lack of self-destruct isn't that big of a deal. Hatching Plans saw a bit of play in Ravnica/Time Spiral Standard. You get one less card at the same CMC, but you get a card up-front too.
Is it just me or is WotC in love with 2cc cantrip artifacts? There has been one in every block now since Lorwyn block. I mean how many such things can they print? Elsewhere Flask Kaliedostone Prophetic Prism
and now this.
Ichor Wellspring, well it screams out to be used in Time Sieve but apart from that doesn't really have a home. It does makes me wish they had reprinted Atog though.

so play it in overextended!!!without lifeline...

Dunno about the Spine of Ish Sah, but Krark-Clan Ironworks LOVES Ichor Wellspring madly.
...And believe it or not, Lux Cannon isn't that bad an idea when talking 'bout Myr Welder decks.
I am a very happy Magic player right now.

This set is pushing me to play Kuldotha red over RDW...
Mythics are too Damn expensive!
I can't find any other words to describe it....
Neat!

I came here to make basically the same comment. You beat me to it. Simply a nice card. Also, a nice and simple card.
Uril, the Miststalker RGW -- Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre C -- Vhati il-Dal BG -- Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer RW -- Animar, Soul of Elements URG
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker R -- Maga, Traitor to Mortals B -- Ghave, Guru of Spores BGW -- Sliver Hivelord WUBRG
Thopter assembly + time sieve by itself is already a combo.
Wait 1 turn and go infinite.

It is not too late for an Atog with Infect!
Is this a mockup or are we seeing Hellraiser stuff?
