I dont see any of them being at uncommon. They're probably all rare.
Lets see maybe
Scepter
T: Deal 1 damage to target player.
At the begining of your upkeep, if you control Throne, untap all creatures you control.
Crown
T: Draw a card; or target player discards a card; or put the top card of target players library into his or her graveyard.
As long as you control Scepter you have Hexproof.
Throne
Creatures dont untap during their controllers untap step. (All Hail the King..Baby!)
At the begining of your upkeep, if you control Scepter, Throne deals 1(2?) damage to each creature target player controls.

Achieving Empire, which would be reflected in the game as controlling the Scepter, the Throne, and the Crown, is all about hegemony; about hanging over others a ruthless and irresistible dominion. A good mirror to the nature of empire would be the capture of permanents of other players. Like, maybe you purloin one a turn via an ability that is on the only of one the tercet to reference the set, i.e. Helm of Kaldra.
And, yeah, Bludgeon Brawl wants to see these slapped on to a Lorwyn Boggart. Sensation Gorger would really feel that cynosure, methinks.
They still could add some text to that line.
Am I the only one who thinks the FT of that scepter is incredibly stupid?
I think its the only time I can say honestly I would have preferred to have seen "thine".
The scepter represents the strength of a king--literally the king's command over his army. The throne represents the fact the king is a stable regeant--one who can afford the luxury of sitting and who stays in one place (i.e. not a nomadic ruler). The crown represents the power of the king's mind and wisdom--even if a ruler is unwise, it is their wisdom that moves their nation and their crown (i.e. head) that must remain protected.
That being said: I can very well see this as being life gain (throne) and mill (crown). I even love the idea posted last page about each allowing the other to untap. I doubt a three card infinite combo like this would shake up standard too much.
Empty space probably this one... whenever a creature or planeswalker dealt damage by Scepter of Empires dies, untap Scepter of Empires. ... or just some spice of flavor text about Empires, anyway its better than Rod of Ruin.
The scepter will have another ability they wouldn't do a slow reveal with a card that boring.
Honestly, I'd want a drawback if anything. Seems like an uncommon (they'd have to do something really weird for it to be worth a rare slot), and even then the power level is pretty high. I mean Tom was a pretty high pick, but in core set people aren't going to be packing maindeck artifact hate so this is Tom that pretty much doesn't die in game one o,o
Although I guess they could just push the cycle and make it that good.

Hey, lolis with katanas are awesome, and I don't care about their home country.

You can only hit players with the scepter so calling it a Tim is a pretty far stretch there buddy.
I mean this card wins the game in 20 turns by itself (barring life gain) but that is nothing to write home about.
They'll probably have something like the Urza lands, along the lines of "as long as you control scepter, crown and throne, [this] deals 5 damage instead" or something along those lines.
This, btw, would be awesome to assemble in an Emperor game

Yeah that's my thinking here too. I was going to say "3 damage" but same idea.
So with Rod of Ruin and the Urza lands as reference, we can speculate with confidence that at least the Scepter is an uncommon? And probably the other two as well.

It will be at least an uncommon. I remember WOTC saying they wouldn't print artifacts as common unless they had a flavor reason, such as Mirrodin being a plane of metal. Of course, there are equipments around.

The throne reminds me of the throne Liliana is sitting on in the preview images for the next non-core set. Inistrad I think. Not the same, but still reminds me.
so flavor text would be "with this scepter, smite your enemies" then crown would be "with this crown, rule your people" and the throne "with this throne mediate the world" or something cookie like that
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.
I think what we're looking at here is a Summoning Station/Blasting Station etc. win engine, and what's missing on the Scepter is the untap clause.

Does it have the space, given that font size?
Keep in mind the templating for these things: "If you control an artifact named...."

Whenever a card is put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, untap ~.
Crown
T: Gain 2 life
Whenever an opponent is dealt damage, untap ~.
Throne
T: Target player mills 1.
Whenever you gain life, untap ~.
Terrible on their own, but together an infinite life/infinite damage/infinite mill combo.

I "liked" the page (and immediately removed the notice from my profile ) and was pretty underwhelmed.
Still, there are two more cards to reveal, so things will probably get better.

I know what you mean, but it seems odd to say a player himself gains metalcraft.
That would be more useful if it didn't just hit players.
Would also be too good.
