Errr....source? A card named Devil's Play sounds like an odd name for a card considering people hated the name of wrath of god. If real, it's either black or red I'm guessing.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
I'm really interested where he got his info? Is this confirmed?
On a side note, wasn't the use of demons and devils so controversial they stopped printing them? I know from time to time, demons were printed but very rarely or in a block that didn't allude to christian demons (ie. Kamigawa). I know that in other games, uses of demons have been reworded as "archfiends", "dark", or "black", due to complaints by concerned parents. since magic the gathering is aimed at similar age groups and higher, wouldn't this also be a concern?

It's probably talking about a devil. Those things that are between demons and imps, and there's like three of them. The only reason they're not demons is that devils are too terrible to be demons or imps. Yeah, when the average imp is more playable than you, you need help. Their other gimmick is that they're red, I guess? They're still terrible.
I mean, I guess since therearethree, I shouldn't judge. But I hope they actually make some good devils in this set.
I once farted during the final match for prizes at an FNM. It was a tense moment, everything was quiet, control vs control, I was about to mana leak, thought about it.. and farted. Then mana leaked.

I think it's different because while there's only one God, there are multiple lower level devils, and also because the devil has so many names. There's God, but then you have Lucifer/Devil/Satan/Dark Lord/whatever. And Devils were actually printed just in Shards block: Scourge Devil. I don't remember much controversy about that, and they were presented as more minor creatures than abominable overlords.
Anyway, sounds red and/or black and is probably a sorcery/instant.
So people can run 8 Confidants in Eternal formats?
Sure, why not.
Yeah 8 bob.dec is fair right? Right? Going turn 2 or turn 1 confidant every single game is completely fair right? They would just reprint dark confidant if they were going to do a recurring CA engine for black at 2 mana.

Because conservative bias is a far, far worse thing. Liberal bias doesn't, statistically speaking, make people stupid. Conservative bias (or at least Fox's version of it) does.

Around the time of 5th edition there was indeed a rash of religious parents complaining about Magic (and DnD, etc.) corrupting their spawn. Wizards stopped printing demons and devils in Magic for several years. Then they officially scrapped that policy, to much rejoicing.
We've had two Devil creatures in "modern" Magic, Squealing Devil and Scourge Devil. Both red, both with a connection to the color black (mechanically or flavorfully). The only other Devil is Stone-Throwing Devils, a card old enough to not really register on the modern use of the type.
This card would almost certainly be either red or black, based on the above. And the name meaning "(a) devil's play" rather than "(the) Devil's play."

I'm sure more than one repressed housewife will take away all her little boy's magic cards because of that.
