Reprints the one card that people point to when saying that art objectifies women.
Well done Wizards.
Liliana does not objectify women in any way at all. We have gotten to a point in our society that every single picture of a women must be objectifying a women in some negative way......blah blah blah.. That is not the case. (((Sarcasm)))Picture of a girl drinking a milk shake, must be sex related and putting women down, picture of girl sitting on a beach, picture of a girl driving a car, picture of a girl on the moon at a new space station.)))
You have a picture of an attractive strong power women who girls dress up as for anime conventions. What more do you want? The picture is fine, happy to see a reprint. Sick of of seeing people claim that everything in existence must be putting women down. Then all I have to do is replace the word "women" with anything else to get the same mentality; fish, cats, arabs, blacks, jews, men, environment, whites, chinese, old people, etc. It doesn't matter what word I put in. Stop sucking life out of everything man. That artwork of her is awesome. Stop putting stuff down man. Just stop. If the picture was really as negative as you claim she would totally nude, in a kitchen, making sandwiches and giving blow jobs. Her abilities would be horrible as well. +1 do nothing -2 do nothing -6 do nothing. Instead liliana of the veil is an amazing planeswalker comparable to jace, the mind sculpter with great art to appreciate.
My suggestion listen to some comedy radio for a while, pandora is free, youtube is free there is something out there for you. ***** go make fun of somebody. The whole world is so serious and campaigning for some cause, or someones rights, everything is a hate crime, racist, sexist. blah blah blah.
"O no mcdonalds must be slandering a hate crime against skinny people every time they make a big mac." hahaha jeeze You're just someone perpetuating another groups negative perspective that they've made you believe is correct. Look at the picture for a hour and tell me what's wrong with it? I don't see anything.
I have heard vague rumors of a moustache-dispensing vending machine in a distant laundromat, across the street from a tattoo parlor. However, this information is shaky, and time is of the essence.
Did you play any of them against each other? How did they run?
AvNB is interesting. It's Aggro vs. Control, and in Ajani's favor for being more straightforward. Bolas has a ton of land, and you don't need to blow his best cards fast, or you'll wind up never drawing any more answers. He has a slow deck, and you have to think in the long, looong term.
Bolas' other problem is that often he has a million options over the course of the next 10 turns, but you have to arrange one of them, turn by turn, for those next 10 turns. Again, loooong term. If you deploy the wrong threat at the wrong time, Ajani may just run through you. You can't lose your cool with Bolas, because if you panic you're dead. Think about when you should leave countermagic open, who is your best blocker, what card is going to save you the most amount of time, if a threat is dire enough that removal can't wait, etc.
A funny thing about AvNB is that NB attacks Ajani from two different angles: life and discard. The life is moot but interesting, but keeping Ajani off the field rewards NB greatly (e.g., Blazing Specter is the best t4th play he can make).
Anyway, if NB doesn't succumb to Ajani's speed, he stabilizes, takes over and rips face. He can make a comeback from 1, I've seen it done.
The decks are really fun because of the three colors, Alara was a fun block because of color, and that DD embodies that as well.
Just got this yesterday, split it with my friend, I got venser, he got koth. We played three matches and he beat everytime. I'm kinda disappointed with how it performed, it was good, but koth just plowed through. Any suggestions on what to put in?
(I have another venser deck, so im gonna combine them)
One good reason to compare AVN and VVK is that Venser is Nicol Bolas, but with two different approaches to handling Koth.
And that's how all my DDs have worked so far. There's always one of the decks that handles easier, and one that requires a lot more thought, a more seasoned player.
The Phyrexians, Tezzeret, Dragons, Nicol Bolas, and Venser all have to prioritize their removal and hold off with tight mana management and sly tactics in order to get to the big late game spells that turn the tide heavily in their favor.
On those ones I have no idea they are still in the post. I own and have played
JvC - Seemed balanced and fun to play
LvG - Garruk won. Every time.
KvD - Only played a couple of times, seems ok.
DvD - Favours the Demons but not too bad.
I have EvT but have not played Tez deck at all yet. Elepth works well against some of the others.
Seems pretty cool. Good to know. I playtested Knights vs. Dragons with myself, and it seems that Dragons always had the upper hand, Idk. Was definitely fun though.

This summarizes how AvNB plays perfectly. I've personally made a comeback from 2 life with Ajani having minor board control (cruel ultimatum tends to do that). Anyway, I've also made a comeback by windmill slamming bolas down and killing an Ajani 1 away from ultimate. Bolas is a mean one indeed, and I proceeded to steal a sledge equipped double striker and turn the game completely on it's head.
If you do not plan carefully however, Bolas folds to Ajani's rushdown pretty easily.
Absolute blast to play. Like I said, even at $20, buy it. have fun. no regrets. even if you rip it apart for singles, you'll get your $20 worth.
Funny how VvK is so bad that this thread has shifted to talking about AvNB. I've played a handful of games with my VvK, and have gone back to playing AvNB with the GF.
Thanks guys. I think I will pick up Ajani vs. Nicol Bolas. And probably another EvT, if I can find one -- just cuz I kinda need the cards in there.
