I'm going to take a Wild Guess that you'll get blown out playing this in Standard.

you can generally tell the easiest road to victory by how many players congregate on it; and the road of counterspells/control has been the freeway of choice in magic for quite some time.

What I find offensive is not that Wizards is endeavoring to make the game more accessible, but the attitudes of elitists who act as though no one of any age should show their face in the Magic public without first having mastery over the complexities of the game.
If Rancor is actually being reprinted I don't know how I feel about that. That card is insane. I'm going to use it of course but it's going to be incredibly annoying to play against.
so using 2 cards to get 2 cards is card advantage?
It's card selection. Getting rid of 1 card you don't need for the chance to find 1-2 cards you do need. Faithless Looting isn't card advantage either, but it's still played tons (Not saying this new card is as good as Faithless, but it's the same principle).
If you're playing red and you want stuff in the graveyard: Faithless Looting. Even Dangerous Wager is better (instant, possible draw 2). But I'll say it's nice to see this really cemented into red's identity at no less than a common in a core set.
I'm getting a little concerned about the goblins in M13... two goblins at four mana? What the eff yo?!

You spend two cards and two colored mana to get two cards. It's really bad.
I wish wild guess had been more like: search your library for a card, then have an opponent search your library for a card. Randomly pick one and put that card into your hand.
Again filter, but so many filters seems overkill. If they had some sort of effect...

At least its graveyard filling filter, but crikey, we just came out of the graveyard block, without any playable GY strategies, and the hilarious whammy of Cage, Crypt and Spellbomb.

I'd be willing to bet that we're going to see Dredge once RtR is released
This thread is full of idiots... Lightning Bolt is NOT being reprinted.
Many times has a writer in Wizards said so, because of the plain and simple fact that it's too powerful for what it costs. x/3 creatures shouldn't be able to die at instant speed for one mana without a signifigant drawback. (like PTE giving you a land)
I absolutely guarantee that LB will not be printed in M10, and you can quote me on that.
I really, really hope that pacifism has new artwork in this set, as it has had the same artwork for the past several core sets, which has made it very boring, in my mind. How likely is it that it may have new artwork?

2 for 1, not 2 for nothing. And to be fair, you didn't want one of those cards anyway. But yes, casting it into negate mana is a bad idea.

FL is card disadvantage.

I'm not sure how I would feel about that limited environment though.
I don't see any confirmation on this, this is all based on that twitter speculation yes?

Infect already has a turn 3 deck build, i wonder if rancor could make it any better.
