Anyway, who in their right mind would activate the ultimate in a field full of blockers? I sure won't, I'll just wait patiently with my Vraska, and activate her ultimate when the coast is clear, with Mutilate to clear the field and some good removal. Dropping her early game would net you nothing, but once mid to late game comes, that's where she shines the best. She becomes a threat because her ultimate is an auto win thus causing your opponent to react by attacking her, but at the cost of dying from her +1. If she dies, at least she has taken several creatures with her, something not to laugh at, since usually when you attack a walker creatures don't die, but this one takes them with her. Heck I would be happy to welcome the attack if they dare.
While I do love everything about this card, I shudder at those pre-order prices. I will probably wait for her to drop to the $20s, since I don't see her as a 4-of in a future T1 deck. But really, this is par for the course; there are always people willing to pay a premium for the hottest stuff so that they can get to brewing right away.
Even if money wasn't an issue, I don't know if I could ever spend that much on cardboard that has an extremely high chance of dropping upwards of 50% in value once the hype is done. It pays to be patient!
disappointing vraska sucks the only way i could see her see play is if control becomes the deck to beat so overated too
Vraska seems horrible against control. Vindicating every 4 turns isn't how you beat control. She's absolutely insane against aggro, where they have to throw multiple dudes against her to kill her.
Vraska just seems fun, plain and simple. She'll be great for EDH and will be good in a lot of sideboards, and some BUG deck will probably use her to great effect sometime down the road.
Honestly, it's rather annoying listening to people talk about how every new planeswalker is either the new Mind Sculptor or not as good as Mind Sculptor. That card was a mistake, one that made the standard metagame an awful environment and no one was really playing at FNM because of it. (Our local card store saw a steep drop in attendance after Caw Blade caught on, don't know how badly it affected everyone else)
I'm just happy that ever since that mistake, the planewalkers have been a lot more diverse and interesting, so there's that. (Also, because I am delusional- I'm still holding onto the belief that Tibalt will be good sometime down the road...)

She's an overcosted desert twister. Don't waste your money.
Everything about that sentence is wrong.

That it does... although sometimes it'll kill ya, such was the case with Umezawa's Jitte. I remember snatching up about 4 playsets worth when they where in pre-order for $2 or so a pop. I made out like gang busters a few weeks after release when people finally realized how good they actually where.

Brian Tinsman, Set Designer :?mana::snow::snow:
Legendary Creature – Human Designer (MR)
Brian Tinsman, Set Designer can only be cast during the third set of a block.
When Brian Tinsman, Set Designer enters the battlefield, ignore all flavor and mechanics of the first two sets in the block. "Ok so what do we have here... gothic horror? Scrap it. Expand the Devine Vs. Demonic duel deck to 244 cards and print it!"

I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.
Desert Twister was 1 color and hit lands so its not even a desert twister.

activating it with a field of blockers is not that bad if you have Odric, Master Tactician

I personally like Vraska the Unseen! She's freaking awesome! I love that she makes Phage-like tokens.
If I get one, she'll definitely get played with!
