Be glad something mind-numbingly hilarious hasn't happened? That I cannot do.
Mind-numbingly hilarious...or mind-scarringly hideous? Cause I DON'T want to see this guy in skimply clothing, that's for sure. Leave alone skimply clothing designed for well-endowed women.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
Think Twice: 2 mana, draw 1; Flashback for 3 mana, draw 1, both at instance speed.
This cretin: 5 mana, sit like a toad, probably die; if you live, pay U, draw 2, then die.
So overall, I am getting to two cards after two turns, but with one I am getting them turns 2 and 3 if necessary, when card advantage matters a lot, plus at Instant speed and not subject to a kill spell and generally not worth countering, but with the other I have to wait until at least turn 5 to cast it and turn 6 to draw 2, assuming it did not die.
Let's not even compare it to Izzet Charm (which is infinitely more flexible, better draw and late game puts things you want in the grave in the grave, and is a valid Snapcaster Mage target.)
Sorry, this card is trash in Standard.

I like creatures such as this one: it has a lot of utility, isn't really made for combat, and the cost reflects that well. That's one of my favorite aspects of UR, and I hope there are more such creatures in the set.
wait a second... why is it chemister instead of chemist? That is just incorrect english there
Fantasy world equals fantastical terminology! (see also "Not Using the Z Word", "Rule of Cool", and "Fantasy Counterpart Culture") Chemister sounds (and looks) "cooler" and more fantastical than chemist, and even gives a bit of a steampunk vibe, which appears to be the aesthetic creative is going for for the Izzet this time around.
Edit: Also, "English" is a proper noun, and is thus capitalized; the first word in a sentence must be capitalized; you do not end a sentence without a punctuation mark. That is just incorrect English right there!
I cannot wait until this card is passed off to me in draft- (You laugh, but I have played Avacyn Restored drafts in which Lightning Mauler and Wolfir Silverheart, Wolfir "I Put The Team on My Back" Silverheart! How does this even happen?) and listen to people complain about how "overpowered" it is when I proceed to promptly win games with it. If it cost any less, it really would be kinda overpowered, but at 5mana it's pretty solid just the way it is.
This card also has the distinction of being my least favorite art on a card in the set thus far, that guy just doesn't give off the steampunk vibe the rest of the art on Izzet cards have been giving- he looks... Out of place to say the least. His face seems to say: "I'm only wearing this outfit because if I don't Niv will eat my family."

“My abusive words are filled with forty grams of copper, twenty five grams of zinc, fifteen grams of nickel, five grams of embarrassment and ninety seven kilograms of spite.”
not really. he costs 5 and does nothing right away. on your next turn he either provides removal for discard, which is ok, or two cards, which is like a bad sorcery speed divination. thats way too slow. he needs to stick for 3 whole turns before he has any real impact, and anything that costs 5 better do more much faster than that.

You do realize his activated abilities aren't sorcery-speed, right?

1 we have no idea how fast this format is the only real fast deck left intact is zombies as of now and maybe WG humans but thats not nearly as fast, 2. hes a better divination...U verse 2U and sorcery speed...yeah. 3. If you draw 4 cards of this guy your heavily ahead remember sphinx...you needed to answer it in 1 turn or you almost always lost the game how is this much different. 4. He is a complete utility creature which suggests being used in control decks verse aggro.
Im confused where all the hate and unplayability concerns of this guy is coming from. I think its highly playable not a 4 of but usually nothing is a auto 4 of in control decks anymore anyways. Did everyone get together and claim zombies is the only deck meant/worthwhile to be played anymore or something? Like what is wrong with a solid dude that is a house if he lives 1-2turns and who said this is your turn 5 play to begin with? If anything i would drop this after i dealt with their board and have them have to answer it or basically let me win.
What this guy said. Arcanis, the Omnipotent saw play in control back in his day because an extra 2-3 cards is just backbreaking. Really though, its kind of a standard strategy for control: Your opponent sides out their removal after game one, so you side in your creatures.

Stop wasting your time here and come to a forum that actually fosters intelligent discussion: Fires Rf Salvation
I was thinking Thunderous Wrath would be excellent in a deck with this guy. Notice you can use his draw ability EOT to cast miracles and it negates some of the drawback of having one stuck in your hand at 6cmc
You do realize his activated abilities aren't sorcery-speed, right?
You do realize you can't activate his abilities until you untap with it, right?
That's much slower then a Divination or the spell counterpart of the 2nd ability -- which happen when you cast them ...immediately. With this card you have to wait a turn before it does anything but be a 2/3 durdle.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I ask, "Why can't it be both." But I might be wrong. I'm wrong a lot.
Getting to watch LRR do a video on it made me appreciate it just a little more.
if only he had the incredible back and abdomen muscles she needs to keep those things up. he'd be a 2/4 at least.

Yeah, LRR is pretty awesome. I hope they keep getting previews.
Anyway, yeah, it's probably gonna go in my niv-mizzet EDH, but I don't see this as playable in standard.
