Sheoldred, Whispering One 5BB
6/6 Legendary Creature
Swampwalk
At the beginning of your upkeep, return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, that player sacrifices a creature.
is this playable? Will it replace titan spots? Will it find a home in a ramp deck, a MBC build, Rock?
What these 7cc Praetors need is a land that makes casting them cheaper kind of like the Eldrazi received. Then they should be playable but it still may take the Titans leaving for that to matter.

I think this forum would be strictly better if people would stop trying to force the word strictly into discussions.

A Praetor tribal? Doubtful. In the case of Eldrazi, they decided to make it a tribal thing but even then it was mostly only for colorless Eldrazi.

To the people that say that a card needs to be a higher rarity because of Limited... I hate you guys so much. I present to you with this.
seems a bit clunky for Standard. the effects are powerful but they take place over a significant amount of time. Isn't this basically outclassed by Titans?
I might be wrong. Its got alot of power. Huge card advantage factory if it stays in play for a couple of turns, and a big big big body. So maybe its good. Still. I can think of alot of ridiculously powerful cards at 7 mana.

Congrats, you just accelerated into a reanimator creature with nothing to reanimate. On turn 5 too, where you already took one or two hits of a sword wielding hawk.
Thought Scour is terrible in BV. How many flashback spells are being run? Say roughly 15. This gives you a roughly 38% chance of milling one flashback spell. And even if you do, you paid one mana to cantrip and dump an overcosted spell. Alchemy, Geistflame, Devil's play, etc. all cost much more to flash back than your average card, so you're not getting full value out of it.
You'd much rather play Ponder. At least that generates a tangible advantage.

This, SWO is pretty bad in constructed. It's fun in EDH I guess, but in T2 there's ton of better stuff to ramp into, assuming ramping into a big creature is a viable strategy (hint: it's not)

well hey if you've been hit twice with a sword maybe you have something to reanimate now
anything that costs 7 mana in standard better make a bunch of creatures (Myrball, Avenger) or kill your opponent just by looking at him/her
that said, Sheoldred is not playable in standard constructed
HOWEVER, she exceeds my wildest imaginings in terms of EDH power! I was down to play her as my new general even BEFORE i saw this, now I'm drooling.
i have to say, from seeing these 3 I really think they're designed for EDH. sure Urabrask is playable, but Norn and Sheoldred are clearly built for the Commander hype.

Norn is certainly playable. She isn't cookie cuttered into any specific deck that's currently being played, but put her in a GW ramp deck along with Garruk, Elspeth, and maybe even Avenger.
I'm a little disappointed we don't get the prerelease card in Phyrexian, but that's alright.
I'm a little confused as to why WotC is making these guys when they're just not as good as the Titans. I know every mythic shouldn't be a standard powerhouse, I actually prefer these guys to mythics like Vengevine, but it seems they're kind of wasting these slots on underwhelming cards when they could be stirring up the format.
Then again, the Titans aren't yet 100% confirmed for m12. So, fingers crossed.

"In the beginning, MTG Salvation switched to a new forum format.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.

I will be extremely surprised if the Titans are in M12. That is just so many of the mythic slots dedicated to reprints that it seems unlikely.
Plus, these 7CMC guys become much more playable in a titan-less format, which has to be something that WOTC took into consideration.

I sure hope so. IMO, the Praetors so far seem on-par to me, compared to the Titans which are definitely above the curve. Could this possibly be signs of WotC dialing down the power creep?

I assume he means for the CIP ability...instead of, you know, attacking with a 6/6 every turn :-/.

No way, really? Was the smiley really not enough to convey sarcasm?
My new life goal: Create a combo deck that utilizes this interaction.
