EDIT - oots, I guess it's wingcrafter, does a mod have to fix that?
Creature - Human Wizard U
Soulbond (You may pair this creature with another unpaired creature when either enters the battlefield. They remain paired for as long as you control both of them.)
As long a Wingcrafter is paired with another creature, both creatures have flying.
Illus. Matt Stewart #83/244 1/1
Let's talk about this guy! I think this is a really sick one-drop!
I swear I first read it as Wingbonger...something tells me that "As Long as Wingbonger is paired with another creature, both creatures have weed." wouldn't be as good. Seems solid for limited.

When did it become impossible to have island AND forests in play?
Amusingly, there is actually no way in Standard to cast turn 1 Wingcrafter into turn 2 Strangleroot Geist (at least, no way that doesn't involve Mox Opal).

Turn 1 Wingcrafter into turn 1 Geist is possible, though, with Chancellor.
It's good, but the fact that it needs another creature to link makes it too inconsistent for most formats. Hopefully there is another Soulbound creature to combo with it. If not, then I'll be sticking with my Delvers.

Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.
I may end up looking into this for my Animar EDH deck, actually. It's always looking for flying defense, preferably in the form of a creature. Punching in the extra damage is always nice.
I definitely like this version of the Flight variant, but I foresee many 2-for-1s with removal getting rid of the flying after attackers are declared.
Whoa, I didn't realize this little bugger was a human! That makes it a bit better than I thought. I like the idea of giving Champion of the Parish flying. Or maybe Mirran Crusader. Yes..... *glee*
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I imagine you can continue binding this with other (more relevant) creatures as they continue to enter the battlefield, right?
It doesn't say that it can't be bound to something new if it's already bound to something else.

"When a creature with soulbond enters the battlefield, you may pair it with another unpaired creature you control. When another creature enters the battlefield under your control, if you control a creature with soulbond that isn't currently paired, you may pair it with the new creature."
Wow this is quite frustrating.. it should really specify that rule in the reminder text.
It actually does, it's just that most people miss it.

The bolded part requires that the soulbound creature is also unpaired when you form a pair with another creature.

It's a Divine Verdict with tomatoes and sour cream. mmm.
What I believe to be interesting, and correct me if I'm wrong but you can pair with your opponents unpaired creature, whether it's too give something flying to kill it with some silly tech or to prevent them from pairing something scurry. lol.

It specifies that you control both creatures. When an affect duration end before the effect begins then the affect never starts.

Next block maybe? Cross your finglies!

But if you're going to play Chancellor, you might as well be playing Mox Opals.
