A WEREWOLF THAT ONLY COSTS G, AND OUR LORD IS SET AS AN AGGRESSIVE FOUR DROP?! Oh, boy I called both of these, and I'm really digging the permanent giant growth there... I can't wait for this set!!
I use the Duels Of The Planeswalkers layout, though I'm right-handed and keep my deck and GY to the left. I dare you to ask me how tempting it is to hold flying creatures in a floating pattern over the table.
Sigh soul seizer should have been 2uu ala control magic and not 5. Waiting a turn to possibly deal one big point of damage is ridiculous.

I like how the Chalice says "10 more than your starting life total" rather than "30 life." I'm assuming they did this specifically because of Commander and cards like Felidar Sovereign.
AWWWW YEAH! I can finally use Ion storm, Undying is the best mechanic! Also, for those who care, it's awesome with Ghave to make some quick tokens, and blast burn their faces.
But really, I like Gravecaller, it's a good sac outlet, throw it in some mortarpod or something?
Strangleroot Geist is obviously very powerful and will see lots of play in both Standard and Modern. I am also very interested in Gravecrawler. A two power 1 drop that can be recast from your graveyard does have potential to be powerful in the right deck. Soul Seizer / Ghastly Haunting is going to be such an awesome P1P1! I can't wait to open it and basically reveal to everyone I am going blue. Definitely liking this set so far!
This is...this is fantastic. This set seems poised to one-up Innistrad in all the places it was great. I mean, Zombie Apocalypse? That's fantastic! The "undying" mechanic ties in with the flavor of things coming back, and "fateful hour" is very in-tune with the set's feel. This gets two thumbs-up from me.
I assume wizards realizes how powerful mind control tricks are in limited, so they upped the cost on them/made them harder to use.
Seems like a smart move to me
The Shaman seems like it could be ok vs some combo decks in modern, if you can get it to flip quickly. If you flip it against a storm opponent, you pretty much win.
Jace bounce was a -1. He could do it 3 times before he would die. Liliana can only do it once before having to do her +1. Overall very disappointed with her unless we get Madness.
Crap, you're right, she's not as good as one of the single most overpowered cards ever printed. Unplayable!
Im pretty sure we will get some poewrful Undying creature... lets see.
UNlike persist, the creature comes back more powerful than before. Seems like a more diffficult decision to kill now as compared to persist.
Threaben Doomslayer - I wonder if the mechanic would be enough to save you if you are 5 life, only 1 Brimstone Volley away from 0.
Somehow I predicted Soul Siezer in one of our threads..! Not the mechanic, but the spirit posession horror trope.
Hunger of the Nightpack will probably be limited only, and in specific scenarios can foil Undying Creatures of your opponents.
Curse of Thirst is meh... flavor does not fit as well.
New flashback twist as hinted by Maro... wonder what that could be?
Also, according to the article, they are making 5 more 2-color flashback spells, but with the reverse colors.
So -
White with Green flashback - Ray of Revelation
Green with red flashback - new card
Red with black flashback - new card
Black with blue flashback - new card
Blue with white flashback - new card
Chalice is the card to be watching out for sure those other cards are nice but chalice will be destroying in modern
Chalice of life/Chalice of death is going to be disgusting in modern. It is already easy enough to get to 30 life in the martyr decks and a way from turn 4 on to do 5 damage a turn with what that deck can already do is just disgusting.
I can see this deck getting out of control with that.
UX - Sorcery - Mill X if this was cast from a GY mill 2x X
Flashback UX
Just wow... Mill just got scary...

And the Chalice of Life/Death seems like an interesting addition to lifegain, and a way to warn people from hanging around 5 life unnecessarily...

Yea, the shaman seems especially brutal with moonmists.
Ok... I take 4 to flip your dogs back... and moonmist... crap, they're back right away...

Hopefully a BBB- pay all your life but 1 (or 5) Draw 4 (or something really powerful)
Also I think that this may be the season for burn. (or avoiding a risky mechanic)
So Pro I have an alpha Volcanic Island
So -
White with Green flashback - Ray of Revelation
Green with red flashback - new card
Red with black flashback - new card

I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Fateful hour is awesome, but risky! Undying?! What?!
DFCs have become awesome to me now.
