If this is true, this is the largest strike against this card.
No it's not. If they reprint the shock lands, they could easily just use the same art that they already have.
Again, the biggest strike against this card is the fact that the art used is just a crop of an existing Island art. Which Hunter already pointed out, and everyone is just ignoring.

Wizard's doesn't re-use art in "expert" sets.

Aww...you almost got it right. The biggest strike is the fact that they used a cropped art that is speculated to be a basic Island and incorrectly attributed it to an artist that did not paint it. That is not Rob's art. I heard it out of his mouth himself. My girlfriend and I spoke with him for a good 15 minutes regarding his art and if he would do anything in the new Ravnica block; he wanted to but was not commissioned to do anything.

Getting into Modern if you have any commons/uncommons you want to unload for cheap (everything before Zendikar needed). My trade list.
Generally, when a card is spoiled months early and it's based off of a speculated reprint or contains an art piece that was previewed with the set, it's fake.
And people need to stop saying that shocklands will be back. Nonbasic lands with basic land types are very likely, but nothing has suggested shocklands at all.
Super fake everyone and their mother knows that shocks will be printed as commons and replace basic lands in each intro pack just to please the outrageous fans...
A large segment of the player base, perhaps even the majority, will feel let down.
Why do people still say things like this? The majority of the player base learns what cards are in the set at the prerelease. MTGS trolls are not in any way representative of the player base--if they were, Magic would have died years ago.

Agreed. Take a look at the guys that were there at the Panel.
Those represent the casual Magic player base. The majority of Magic players.

I'm surprised so many MTGSalvation members aren't in London right now. They'd win gold in the long jump if there was a conclusion to be reached at the other side.

While I absolutely agree that many people on Magic forums tend to be hyperbolic at best, I don't think that it's accurate to say that the majority of the player base doesn't follow spoilers online. There is a huge casual magic scene were I live and every player I know compulsively checks their computer/smartphone constantly during spoiler season to see if anything new has been spoiled/leaked. And I wouldn't call any of us competitive players, either. Almost all of us are entirely casual. If a player is invested enough in Magic to attend a prerelease, I think it's safe to say that they probably check some form of online Magic resource, even occasionally. This is just my two cents, of course. Obviously this particular set-up isn't indicative of Magic players everywhere. Still, I think you may be slightly underestimating how obsessed many of us are with this game.

What if my completely anecdotal experience contradicts yours? (It does, of course, but that's not the point.) I have to take Lightning Bolts and Preordains out of people's FNM decks all the time. These people are not using the Internet to figure out CURRENT Magic cards, let alone future ones.

If your completely anecdotal experience contradicts mine, that's fine. I was merely pointing out that you were speaking in generalities, which seemed to underestimate the average Magic player. Clearly this sort of thing varies from playgroup to playgroup.
But to get back on point, this card is obviously fake. I do think that the shocks will be in RtR, but I don't think it's impossible that they won't.

Only an MTGS poster would claim that assuming the average Magic player wasn't an obsessive internet troll was "underestimating" them.
There's nothing wrong with not knowing everything about Magic, guys. I just don't think Wizards makes marketing and format decisions based on what MTGS posters think they know.

Which is perfectly normal for german cards.
Even though it's still fake based on the art alone.

The same reason why all pictures of Bigfoot are fuzzy :p. It makes it harder for folks to pick up on the fine details of a forgery.
