A whole topic about bad rares but wood elemental is mentioned once and Sorrow's Path isn't mentioned at all? How could it be nobody thought these were worse? At least the other cards mentioned do something and/or have a niche (except mudhole), but these two will always accomplish nothing.
Tomb of urami has seen legacy play so no it is definitely not one of the worst rares ever. 5/5 flying creature is pretty amazing if the opponent lacks an answer.
Stabilizer was an amazing sideboard card against rifter and slide. When you can't cycle cards at all, they become infinitely worse when they draw astral slide and/or lightning rift.
Krosan cloudscraper USED to be a gigantic timmy card. But wait, now they powercreeped creatures so hard that it is now worth all kinds of dollars. All the casual elves players wanted one in their deck because they could generate a ****load of mana with their elves to hardcast the guy on turn 5 or something.
Still stand by my opinion on wood elemental. That card is reserved as well, which is even funnier. Card is an absolute pile, even worse than sorrow's path. At least sorrow's path could occasionally work in combat or you could give it to your opponent then tap it repeatedly with icy manipulator, which was one of the best cards back then since it was flexible removal at a decent cost for the times.

"Yawgmoth," Freyalise whispered as she set the bomb, "now you will pay for your treachery."
Yeah sorrow's path sucks, that's it. Can anyone try to convince me that it's a good card? 1. Why is there a wall of text on the card!?
2. Why is effect so mediocre?
3. Why does it not only hurt you, but also have the capability of destroying all of your creatures!?
4. Why in God's name is it a freakin' land!? WHY IS IT A LAND!? WHICH OF ITS ABILITIES MAKES IT A LAND!? WHY DO I NEED TO WASTE A LAND DROP FOR THIS!?
No one mentionned it and I don't remember this card being used in any format but Myojin of Seeing Winds is really bad. Not only you have to hardcast it to get the divinity counter, but it is a 3/3 for 7UUU. I have never seen it played even once, but I assume if you do manage to remove the divinity counter, it's gg the next turn?

If there is such a thing as too much power, I have not discovered it!

It could be an interesting finisher in a casual permission deck.
I have a foil one that was one of the first foils I remember getting, so im kinda partial to the card.

Card sees MAD play in blue EDH. It pretty much reads "I draw half my deck this turn".
I think there are far worse contenders for worst rare than any of the five Myojins.
Do you honestly think so? I bet that some day, you will be at the losing end against some unknown persons Worm Harvest-deck, and desperately thinking: "Why didn't I sideboard Mudhole? Why?"
I think I'll take my chances
Hey it could be secret sideboard tech against Deathrite Shaman

Yes we all know that rares from Kamigawa block and Homelands block tended to be janky, but how about Search the City from Return to Ravnica?
What's a worse tragedy, an unplayable rare in a set that nobody wants to buy, or an unplayable rare in a set that everyone wants to buy but can't because of supply issues?

You've got a rat in your walls, and cheese won't solve anything.
Power Surge was actually a pretty good card when we had mana burn combined with Manabarbs. Of course today, the card doesn't really do a heck of a lot.
Do you honestly think so? I bet that some day, you will be at the losing end against some unknown persons Worm Harvest-deck, and desperately thinking: "Why didn't I sideboard Mudhole? Why?"
"Because I opted for Tormod's Crypt instead"
In what circumstance can you make Worm Harvest good for that matter? Float a ****load of mana so you can follow Armageddon with it?
My friend's and I liked to joke about opening Tunnel Ignus when it was around, then Prime Time got huge and he suddenly didn't seem like the worst thing in the world for a red mage.
Um, what? Primeval Titan was big before Tunnel Ignus was printed. In fact, he was probably at his biggest before SoM was even released, because people hadn't figured out how to deal with Valakut yet.
Omniscience. Not only is the effect not blue and should be called omnipotence, it adds nothing of value except more epicness creep, and now they can't make an actual omniscence that lets you use your library as your hand. So it's basically a complete waste of two design spaces. That makes it worse than something like Wood Elemental IMO, because at least that card was just woefully underpowered and you can move on. This ruins some of the game's potential for improvement.

It's a slow grindy win condition for the times when you need one. Note that the effect synergizes with the keyword - you'll only get one or two tokens the first time you cast it, but if you cast it several times, it starts to snowball.
Granted, it's not a particularly impressive snowball, but it's not the worst rare ever printed by any stretch.
Nothing with Morph can be the worst rare ever. No matter how bad the actual card is, you've always got the option to drop it as a colorless Gray Ogre, which is more than hundreds of other rares can say.

Yeah it's pretty derpish. I tried not to include any cards that could appear as combos though, just cards that really make you go "holy **** what were they thinking".
I run Worm Harvest in my Modern Aggro Loam deck. Only as a singleton, but it's definitely saved games for me.
I just looked that up in established Modern here and you know, I kinda figured the answer to my own question would involve Seismic Assault. I just didn't know how to play it well in any eternal format. Well played sir.
Edit: flavor-wise, your hand represents the sum of your current knowledge and your library is the sum of all your knowledge. Mana has to be drawn to actualize your ideas into physical form. And seeing as the correct way to play Omniscience is by cards called Show and Tell and Academy Rector, then using it to draw your deck out, Omniscience isn't a terrible name for something that lets you display all of your knowledge immediately.
Son of Edit: I love that Unhinged card. Garfield is never a redundant legend, if you're holding it in your hand while he's out it becomes Force of Will and Misdirection.
opponent has a Brown Ouphe....
still a bad card though...

That used to be the ultimate timmy card and now it is obsolete with all the colorless eldrazi floating around.
I'm sticking with wintermoon mesa as the worst rare.
