Imp Whisperer - 1B
Creature - Imp
When Imp Whisperer enters the battlefield, you may search your library for up to three cards named Chimney Imp, reveal them, put them into your hand, then shuffle your library.

Bear Whisperer - 3G
Creature - Human Warrior
When Bear Whisperer enters the battlefield, you may search your library for up to three cards named Grizzly Bears or Runeclaw Bear, reveal them, put them into your hand, then shuffle your library.
2/2
Make bear whisperer any bear, and its good to go. I mean, aside from grizzly bear and runeclaw bear, there's bear cub, balduvian bears and forest bear. Even if bear whisperer can call up non-vanilla bears, it still wouldn't be overpowered.

Or even power 2 or less would work. Also I would choose a different creature type than Imp for black since Imps almost always have flying. Perhaps a Squadron Skeletons with :symb:: Regenerate ~. That'd be almost as annoying if not more than the original Caw's. ^.^
^ That is the issue. But if you have one or two of those cards every few years its fine. This is the policy Wizards has been following, it just so happens these sort of cards (*ahem*HAWK*ahem*) tend to be really good, kind of good (Relentless Rats), or absolute crap (Sift Through Sands). Its a perfectly valid card space which most players don't enjoy, but there is generally little harm done. And for the players who do enjoy having 50 copies of a nonland card in an EDH deck, cards like this exist.
On the cards, they seem very lame. Not on power level basis, but that you have to have two different cards for this card to be useful. The bear shows more promise, and this is how I'd do it:
Runescale Grizzly3G
Creature - Bear (C)
Trample
When CARD enters the battlefield you may search your library for up to three other cards named CARD, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Shuffle your library afterwards. 2/2
Runescaled Bear V23G
Creature - Bear (U)
Trample
CARD gets +1/+1 for each other creature named CARD you control.
A deck may have any number of copies of CARD. 2/2
Using Mondu's tribal suggestion:
Runescaled Bear V33G
Creature - Bear (U)
Trample
When CARD enters the battlefield you may search your library for a Bear card and reveal it. Shuffle your library and place the revealed card on top. 2/2
Runescaled Bear V53G
Creature - Bear (U)
Trample
As long as you control a creature called Grizzly Bears and a creature called Runeclaw Bear, lands you control have "G,T: Put a 2/2 green Bear creature token onto the battlefield." 2/2
These are just a bunch of ideas off the top of my head for various named abilities, based off existing cards.

Chameleon Colossus
Dang it.

In keeping with the spirit of it, there we go. Our worries of Colossi have been quelled.

Cylian Sunsinger is another name card:
Runescaled Bear V4 3G
Creature - Bear (C)
Trample
1G: CARD gets +2/+2 until end of turn for each other creature named CARD you control.

Or Sift Through Sands-esque:
