@Cooking: My wife follows recipes and everything always comes out good. I'm a big fan of winging it with whatever supplies I have around, most of the time it turns out good.
Amusing story from my time at the Calgary Stampede that I was just reminded of. We watched a hypnosis show on one of the free stages, and he had the people do all kinds of silly things as hypnotists are wont to do. Anyway, one in particular I found very funny. He had ten people on the stage, all hynotized, and chose the 18 year old male, telling him that every time he has a sexual thought of any kind, he would immediately fall asleep. After giving those instructions, he had the guy wake up and asked him to brush a piece of dirt of the leg of the girl sitting next time him. He passed out before he even touched her leg. So the hypnotist woke him up again and had his assistant bend over to pick up a bolt from the stage floor that had been there previously. And the guy passed out. So the hypnotist woke him back up and left to deal with other subjects, but throughout the show the guy just kept passing out at random times as he looked around. So funny.
Speaking of which... I got my piano exam results. 75 - the bare minimum for passing, out of the two ways of passing (either 75 total, or 70 on each individual section, which I failed to do because neither me nor my teacher knew the required technical tests to be done here.)
The thing about the radio station I listen to (the one featured in this quiz I made a while back) is that the songs they play most often are really recent and new songs. Once in a while they play some classics from the 70s/80s, but usually not the same ones, so they don't stick around in my head that easily.
(There's also the fact that 35% of the music must be Canadian music, so, as I said before, quite a few of these are not well-known outside of Canada... or in Canada, for that matter.)
(Have Stardust or Moss_Elemental taken this quiz yet?)

Wait... you took the quiz a while ago, or did you take it today? It hasn't registered a play on the stats page for today. (Or did you exit the page without clicking on "Give up"?)
Either way, thanks for playing! Maybe I'll make one for an "easier" radio station later...

Indeed it is (mind if I sigquote it?). It's back to school time at the ol' department store and everyone's getting out their summer yayas while scrambling for headphones and calculators.

So, maybe you don't, maybe you do, but I'm somewhat of a story adept where Magic is concerned (and a lot of other games, I love the backgrounds)
So it's no surprise that I enjoy talking to a certain someone who also enjoys talking about the background of Magic. We had a fun conversation where I went off on a tangent, mocking the people who come up with weird unsubstatianted ideas.

(13:05:01) syphonides: He pulled a spark out of his butt because that´s where neowalkers have their sparks and planeswalked straight to Ravnica because he knew, thanks to an ancient scroll hidden in Phyrexia talking about an old plane of a cityplane, that there may lie the answers to ridding the world of the threat of Phyrexia.

(13:08:20) syphonides: You see, once he found Ravnica, Mishra fought against Niv Mizzet and his Izzet because Mizzet was at war with Nicol Bolas, who is completely the same colours as Mishra.
(13:09:01) syphonides: In an all out battle between every bleeping planeswalker we know, even Nissa, who appears only to planeswalk away when she sees she is on Ravnica again, Mishra is heavily wounded and flees.

(13:11:00) syphonides: Even amongst all the Phyrexians, love can blossom, you see. At that point, the wife passes away and Mishra, distraught, leaves the plane and the baby behind since he is now fixed up again.

(13:11:40) syphonides: Nope!
(13:12:16) syphonides: When Mishra planeswalks away, he ends up trapped between planes and is suddenly thrown back into time thanks to the vagaries of the blind eternities.
(13:12:42) syphonides: At the directions of Nicol Bolas, he takes the guise of the Raven Man and forms Liliana to what she is.
(13:13:10) syphonides: having accomplished this, he goes back in time again
(13:13:14) syphonides: however
(13:13:16) syphonides: ANOTHER ACCIDENT HAPPENS
(13:13:32) friend: add spatial merging where he stops off in World of Warcraft
(13:13:34) syphonides: he gets thrown farther in time and ends up near an Argivian archeological dig.
(13:13:35) friend: because that totally happens
(13:13:52) syphonides: at the dig,he talks to his younger self and convinces him not to be so jealous.
(13:14:14) syphonides: The shattering of the Thran portal locking the Phyrexians in never happens, Urza and Mishra never go to war and stay friends.

That is amazing. If Wizards does something like that I'm going to cry and then go and give them all a hi-five while still crying.
When's the last time we've had a happy storyline? Before Kamigawa?
@Syphon: Can't happen man. Mishra already gave up his spark during Lorwyn block. But I hear he'll get to play tag-a-long like ol' Baron Sengir used to when he was still working on the original Metathran blueprints.
I finally finished it. I lost two of my grandparents over the course of my study and had other setbacks but it's done. I am now a bachelor in the arts.

Congrats! What's your plan now?
And you'll be happy to know that I gave out an infraction for baseless speculation today. Feel free to report any posts that you think go too far! I don't really want that crap in our forum either.
Thanks Stardust. Why does your background never move? Now it looks like the guy just moonwalks in place. Also, plan for now? sit out july and work in august.
(Thread title suggestion: I would never august that! (have guessed...get it?))
Yay, baseless speculation crackdown. And I am encouraged to call the cops? Sweet. Is there some sort of incentive program? Ten reports get you the power to suspend one guy or something?

Did you like Boiling Blood better? Anyway, the background only appears to never move because it's really really far away. If you watch it for more than an hour, you might notice a slight shift then.
Please don't actually do this.
And, no, there's no incentive program except the pleasure of knowing that you've helped to make the forum a better place.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, isn't that sweet... But really, the more reports I get, the more I know what people want, which ultimately lets us give you what you want, so really it's making your life better in the end.
EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot to reply to Aurora! I haven't done your last few quizzes, though I've wanted to. Most of my time on here is at work, so I can't really do an audio quiz. I don't have a whole lot of time for myself at home these days (as Abby can attest to), but I do plan on going back to do a few of them when I get the chance!
