Hello,
this is my first take on an uncommon only Gates deck, intendet for multiplayer FFA play.
It mainly focuses on using Korozda Guildmages second ability in conjunktion with Hold the Gates to create a bunch of tokens which will hopefully win the Game. The combo of Gates Ablaze and Hold the Gates is also quite nice.
On the Bad side are all th comes into play tapped Lands, that make the deck a bit clunky.
I think the Deck is a nice starting point, but will need some improvements. If you have any suggestions, leave them in the comments please.
I would highly suggest getting one Maze's End though. Pull that off and you'll be a legend.
you are right with Amulet of Vigor. Maybe i will try it as a Part of a Trinket Mage package.
I´m not sure about Maze's End thought. My group hates alternate wincons, so it could put an target on my head.
I will have to try it.
But it might be more fruitful to just have more ways to put land out faster, like Azusa, Lost but Seeking, which with Guild Summit stacking can be a major engine. Plus you can Drift of Phantasms transmute into Azusa. I think the charms are your weak slots right now.
Improbably God-hand. 3 different gates, (at least one green), 2 Amulet of Vigor, Azusa, Lost But Seeking, Maze's End. Draw a 4th gate on or before turn 3.
Turn 1, gate.
Turn 2, cast Amulet. Drop gate, untap it, cast Amulet 2.
Turn 3, drop gate, 2 untap triggers. Cast Azusa (1 mana remaining) Drop 4th gate (2 untap triggers, 3 mana remaining). Drop Maze's end. Une one untap trigger for mana, and after the other resolces use the search ability. (1 mana remaining). Get a gate, it untaps twice, you have 3 mana and 5 gates in play. May as well play a Gate Colossus right?
Turn 4. You start this turn with 5 untapped gates. Tap two of those gates for mana. Drop Maze's End, untap it once for mana, then use its search effect. Gate enters, untaps twice, hold onto that mana. Redrop the Maze two more times. When Everything is done, you will have 8 gates in play and 5 mana to spend. Gate Colossus is now free.
Turn 5 Drop and use Maze's End twice, win the game in the most stupefying manner the game allows currently.
