This is the new temporary OP for the Jeskai Copycat thread. If you are interested in creating a primer for this deck then please see this post for how to gain ownership of this thread.
Thank you so much Torpf. Then, I think it is impossible to relink the previous primer of this deck right?
That is true. With the new EU laws we are unable to have any content that the original user did not opt-in for keeping on the site. Because of this a new primer and thread must be made from scratch.
Neoform may be a finder in another shell (4cc Saheeli). I see that, when previous Jeskay Copycat thread was deleted, this is pretty dead. Nobody is playing this deck now?. Really??

Great! I see you are also playing copycat! Why you didn't post here? Maybe there are more people interested (like me) that don´t know about the other "Reality Acid Deck" threat. I didn't see your videos yet but I will do it soon.

i explained in post #25 that the original Copycat thread was gone before i started posting Copycat discussion in Reality Acid. up until now, this new Copycat thread had basically no support, so i decided to just keep posting in Reality Acid (for fear that this thread would disappear too.) but if i continue to get good results (i have 2 modern tourneys this weekend!) i'll be sure to continue here.
Been a while since I posted and I see we're in a new thread. I wanted to share my updates post-WAR. I 4-1'd with the deck in a comp league on MTGO as well as collab'd with Janh, the guy that trophies a lot on MTGO with Saheeli. We're still tuning, but here's where I'm at and I'm really enjoying this list. I won't be posting regular updates here, just when I think I've found something important, so if you wanna keep up with my progress on the deck you can follow me on twitter.
1) Teferi, Time Raveler is the real deal. Protects the combo from interaction and has natural synergy with our ETB creatures. I can't stress enough how good this card is for us.
2) 4 Lightning Bolt / 0 Lightning Helix is purely a meta call for the MTGO meta. If you expect burn and assorted aggro, make some sort of split (3/2 worked well for me in the past).
3) 3 Remand is a response to the uptick Humans where we really can't leverage them. Cryptic Command takes the 4th Remand slot as it is a versatile spell that gives you outs to random hosers which are more common these days due to Whir Prison and new Karn.
4) Ashiok, Dream Render is absolutely amazing. Cross performs against Tron, Storm, Amulet, Dredge and many more. Card has been outstanding. Note that you can reset it with Felidar Guardian when its down to 1 counter.
5) Narset, Parter of Veils, in conjunction with new Teferi, allows us to attack control from an angle we couldn't previously. This card, while strong, hasn't been as great as I expected it to be, and I may cut down to 1 copy in the board moving forward. Narset may benefit more in the presence of more hard counters.
Happy to answer any questions. WAR brings us a lot of new toys, such as the 3cmc walkers and even Dovin's Veto, which I'm very excited to continue brewing and tuning with.

Thank you so much for your work with this deck. It is not easy to improve Copycat with a meta that is always shifting. It is interesting how controlling the table you can buy a lot of turns in modern. Wall of omens, Seas, Detention Sphere, paths, bolts, ... This means that metagame is agro (in a high %), so why don´t you use anger/verdict/wrath in omens slots for example? Maindecking Anger of the Gods, you could clean the table even with fieldar there, using paths to exile bodies with a huge defense.

Unless I have a perfect grasp of the meta, which is rare with Modern, I like my maindeck cards to be flexible. Wall of Omens cantrips to find your combo. Lightning Bolt and Path to Exile are the most hyper-efficient removal spells available to Jeskai. Detention Sphere is a catch-all removal spell. Spreading Seas hates out Tron and cantrips to find your combo.
The idea is that all of our cards in the maindeck are either hyper-efficient, very broadly applicable, or replace themselves. In general, I also prefer my more narrow cards, like Anger of the Gods, to be proactive rather than reactive if they're in my maindeck. This means I'd go towards a maindeck Pia and Kiran Nalaar to boost my aggro match-up because it at least applies pressure in a lot of match-ups where Anger would be a dead card.
Essentially, I want the least amount of dead cards in my deck game 1. Game 2/3 you can use your sideboard to patch your weaknesses or attack parts of the meta, but I don't think a tempo-based combo deck can afford to dilute the mainboard configuration very much. If you want to dedicate your few flex slots for sweepers like Anger of the Gods or Supreme Verdict, go for it. But there's some inherent risks you're taking there that I feel are unnecessary in Modern's wide meta.
This deck is really cool. It's definitely more Bant splash Red than Jeskai splash Green, but I think Teferi, Time Raveler is very powerful as a 2-drop. Oath of Nissa is an amazing Felidar target as well. Not a big fan of the maindeck Narset considering the deck has 16 creatures, but this version is definitely more explosive than straight Jeskai.

This deck did some work at the SCG con. It’s on the main page of SCG as of posting this, even better in their free section too.
looking for a new deck as at the moment my modern decks (taking turns and storm) aren't doing great. this seems lots of fun.
i've seen the article on scg and I really like that version (the fact that i only need to buy a couple of card to build it it's a definite plus lol)
is there a discord channel for this deck?
