Spamming any kind of electronic document to WotC isn't a great idea. This is one of those times where hand written > e-mail. Even then, we should wait and see how this pans out.
Put me down as another person willing to stop buying MTG cards and donate the money to R_E's defense.
WoTC needs to learn that people who write about the game are die-hard fans who improve their business. Shutting them down is a slap in the face to everyone who plays this game.

People are posting like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. I suggest everyone just calm down, let Rancored Elf see what developes, and then if he feels we as a community can help him is some way, then great, let him make the suggestions since it is his problem.
If everyone puts into plan some knee jerk reaction, it won't be that effective. Basically you have Bobby Magic player sitting at home watching Reruns of Star Trek saying boy I sure did show them Wizards guys. Meanwhile hundreds of others are enjoying a pre-release, .
Until Rancored Elf gives a little more detail, save you mail bombs, enjoy your lives, and relax. Yeesh.
My sentiments exactly, sure the whole thing sucks, but it is most likely just a scare tactic to get R_E to reveal where the leaks came from. People just need to take a breath, calm down, and play the game dammit. Boycotting just doesn't work anymore, I can just imagine like 5 people outside pickiting like the "Save the Morlocs" people at Blizzcon while everyone else is having a good time.

Boycotting works to harm a company if enough people do it. You're probably right that not enough people will boycott WoTC over this to harm their business.
However, boycotting works just fine to soothe the conscience of any individual who feels guilty giving money on ruthlessly greedy corporations. If this is not resolved, I know that I'll feel a hell of a lot better giving the $1000+ I spend on cards yearly to some other company unaffiliated with Hasbro.
It's too early to take any action -- we need more info about how much heat they're actually throwing at R_E. But when we get that info, if it seems warranted then I'll boycott WoTC products just because it'll make me feel better, not because I believe it'll actually harm their bottom line.

I recommend giving to UDE. Fun game, arguably better game play, comparable support.

Ok let me tell you why that would not be worth our time. There are curretnly 5,280 active users on mtgs. This means that they may or may not regullarly check to see what rumors are around. There are nearly 1million+ magic players in the world that buy regularly. Even if every active user boy cotted magic, thats about 0.005% of the people who play magic. Wotc would barely loose any money whatso ever. Its not practical to do a boycott unless every person participates, which i seriouly doubt. Its a nice idea and all but it jsut wont have that much of an effect on anyone, also im pretty unsure that 5,280 people would willingly give up magic jsut for a 1/100000th chance that they can stop the lawsuit.
guys youll just hurt the stores you can't hurt the corperation now if you want to hurt a comapany toyu have to think like a comapany find som buddies who invest money tell them to sell ther hasbro shares off THAT wil hit wotc wer it counts the question is are investeers likly to do that?
I see alot of we hate wizards posts going around but try and understand there not trying to ruin your fun there trying to do the best to protect there product.
And some people may say that they should go after there sources but think about this for a second it is almost the smartest possiable thing you could do.
You go after the person which is the public face of all of it there not going after there the site there going after there champion which is pretty balls showing that they will have leaks and it's almost impossiable to stop but what they won't have is people being able to broadcast this knowledge.
Think about with one suit you have taken out every one going to R_E or anyone whom is MTGS related very sly if i do say so my self.
Understand there most proberly pleased it razed this much emotion that way everyone will hear about it.
and i think they are trying to evoke an emotional responce from it.
"It is better to be feared than loved"
also i think there is more than just spoilers with this otherwise this would have been pluged long ago.
I think everyone should offer support they can and be done with it.
So thats it, thats what i am doing I wish good luck to R_E.
From some of the material that I have read in these threads (it reallly is impossible to read everything) it seems to me that people are putting together the game of Magic and the corporate behaviour of the organization. Magic is a fun game and I spend time and money on it because it is my hobby. And I want to continue doing so. So I'll go to prereleases and tournaments and buy product. I am so much into the game that I also post in MTGS.
On the other hand, there is a seperate issue - the fact that Wotc is suing R_E. I see this as absolutely rubbish, with Wizards planning on hurting a person who advertises the game on a daily basis. It is this of course that I am against and it is for this reason that I have sent e-mails of complaint to different places of the Wizards website.
Hasbro (read Wizards) screwed up and are using lawyers to try and fix things. It was not R_E's responsibility to know what disclosure agreements were in place between his anonymous sources and their employers. Learn to hire trustworthy employees and keep an eye on them Hasbro, rather than use pigs to dig up the truffles you seek.

I won't hurt my local store at all. I'll get into Hero Clix, or Warhammer, or something else they sell. Anything that isn't WoTC.
And look back to my previous post where I said that I don't care that a boycott won't hurt WoTC. I'll boycott them because it'll make me feel better. That's the only excuse I need.
But also as I said, it's too soon to take extreme stands.
