Like I've said over and over again, I was a pretty crappy person back then.
You seem to be one of the few people here that acknowledge that, and you don't take a minute of hesitation before admitting your failures. That's not only a nice thing, but also must've been pretty difficult for you to make the transition. I wonder what made you see everything in a different light...
I'm sorry? The major part of our thursday lecture dealed with transmitters and neurotoxins And I figure I know at least something about medicine after studying it for 2 years
Surely he meant the alternative/holistic medicine types talking about "cleansing toxins" and whatnot in the vein of Gary Null, which they speak about in the same way similar idiots talk about "energy", "frequencies" and "vibrations", which obviously exist and are quite relevant in physics but are horribly misused (intentionally or not) to justify all sorts of crap.
Maybe you'll get Archenemy cards in your Duel Decks From The Vault: Deck Builder's Toolkit All-Foil Duels of the Planeswalkers Downloadable Content Expansion (Tactics Edition).

Uh pretty much life and growing up and all that jazz.

Anyway, since I never posted here before, thanks Gob for putting this thread up and allowing us n00blings to see the gripping drama of times past.
So, is anyone going to update the wiki? None of it's PoV (whatever that is:B:), so whatever, add it for future MTGS'er to see.
Thanks, for whatever it's worth.

Yes, Belgareth is still a member, with a PPD of, like, 10, and a post count of some number in the ten thousands.

I suppose I would be right in my supposition that I am still like that. Welp.

All the times that I talked to/interacted with Belgareth were more than ok and by reading his posts and hearing his opinions I always thought of him as a great guy and definitely one of the first members to pop into my head whenever I think of MTGSalvation. To read that Bel's Era of drama was the worst is a bit of confusing, to say the least. I'm not saying I don't believe all this stuff, but I definitely didn't see this behind-the-scenes thing coming. Was Bel really that bad as an admin? He didn't look that way from where I was standing, I can say that much.
Apparently so. He neglected his duties and apparently abused his position of authority, from what I've read.
Thanks all for explaining to this nub about the happenings of times gone by.

That's what I had thought at first, too. Then I realized what a colossal douche bag he really is.
Anyways, I started paying attention when Butteblues and Crazy (Crazed?) Mike resigned. I didn't know what happened behind the scenes, so I didn't much care about who had a beef with who and actually sided with Bel at first for some reason. I talked to him on MSN for a lil bit, and I grew to realize some of the reasons people don't like him.
Heh, that first few months were drama-riffic. I vaguely remember all of that, but I still sorta visited both sites because I didn't know if Salvation would be stable enough to stay... thank goodness it did.
And I still can never find the Gutter... I think I don't look hard enough.
That was really a good read. I have to say, it was really sort of sad to realize how much of that I actually knew... I was always so curious as to what went on behind the scenes, and I basically knew all of that.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

This is Deraxas we're talking about.
Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.

I remember most of that drama. Its only been...what, 2 years?
Yes i am the same guy who trades/sells on MOTL AND Wizards of the Coast and i trade on POJO.

Yeah. The first year of the site was just rough all-around.
Once there was a change in management, however, things have steadily continued to improve for the last year and (nearly) a half.

If it had been written as an article, it would have most certainly been voted as article of the month.
