Ya but it forced me to quit the game for most of my school life. Got back in when I got into 11th grade and had a job to pay for my hobbys.
I regret losing it and don't. If I didn't I would have become a waste of a child just caring about a cardboard game then my life and work. Now I truely can look at it as a hobby and side funds when i sell.

I'll be 28 in about six weeks, and I didn't start playing until I was almost 25. Yeah, weird. Or was it 2004? Whenever; it was some time during Mirrodin block.
I discovered that while new cards were good and all, old cards were better...and now I vastly prefer Eternal formats.
And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

Remember, the girl that just killed an aspect of herself before literally consuming her?
Yeah, I don't see her handling a pissing match in any way other than a duel.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
I'm 24 and I started playing around the time Homelands came out. Yes, I started playing during the hellish "Black Summer". I quit from Torment to Scourge and completely missed Mirridon and most of Kamigawa block due to school and not having anyone to play. I started back up heavy after Ravnica came out especially on MTGO.
I'm 17 now, started young during Masques block and quit shortly after Judgement. I got back in at the end of Mirrodon block and quit again before Kamigawa (shortest period I played). Finally returned when Ravnica was released and have played since then.
I just realized. Mycoloth perfectly demonstrates the devour mechanic.
Mycoloth: NOMNOMNOM on Dragon Fodder.
One turn later, 1/1 turds come out.

btw i did it because i could. i was bored and decided to let my little med-free spree go ahead. I am bipolar, explaining all the drama that ensued after. I have problems.

I'm 23. I started playing with Tempest, right before Stronghold. I played casually until Mercadian Masques came out, and then I quit because people at school stopped. I started back right when Mirrodin was released, and have been playing casually ever since. Due to the fact that I missed so much, I usually enjoy playing Extended - Making up for all the sets I missed.

Procrastination is like masturbation. Its only fun until you realize you just screwed yourself.
28... started about when 4th was new, Ice Age was new, Revised was still available everywhere then.... left around homelands (no players), rejoined in visions, left after urza's legacy (school and church) reentry in mirrodin/kamigawa (was bored) until now....
Althought i started around judgement, around the onslaught era i remember getting a buttload of fetchlands from this mob of little kids for like vizzerdrixes and stuff, cause they were like "omg you lose 1 life thats so bad" besides lands cant even attack....
I'm 16. I started playing competitively during mirrodin block. Before that, me and my brother just played with a few portal starter decks that I bought from a guy at a yard sale one day; I've been addicted since then.
I am 33 will turn 34 this year...ugh... I've been playing since beta. I stopped playing a little bit when Mercadian Masques came out cause it was a god awful set and had no money anyhow. I picked it back up again when Invasion/7th came out. Though I never stopped playing, just didn't buy the products from MM till Invasion/7th. I recently stopped buying product right after Ravnica cause the price went up and I just think it is rediculous. I remember when most people did not even understand what a Mox really was good for and they were worth no more than $5. I remember seeing a Black Lotus in a comic book store case for $20 and thinking, who would pay that much for one card? I used to have multiple play sets of duals, had all sorts of power that all were lost in ante games and/or lost cause of people who steal. I remember when a group of friends and I went to a comic store to buy some Magic stuff and saw Arabian Nights. We didn't buy any cause we figured it was a completely different game and was not compatible with the regular cards...ahhh the good old days when there were no restricted/ban lists and you could play with 30 Prodigal Sorcerers if you had them. Heck some guy traded for every single Plague Rat he could find and made a plague rat deck. Now that was some uber fun! I won quite a few games with the 6 balances I had in my deck lol.
Started playing at 6 on and off and now, i am a very competitive player.
(no im not obese, no pimples thankfully. I actually look the furthest from a magic player possible XD)
same here... also no obese or have pimples...I am the least likely person you would guess to see playing magic..I think my only give away is that I usually always wear black...
18 years old... started playing after the release of Judgment, but started playing in tourneys not before in the middle of Mirrodin block. And still it wasn't "competitive" The competitive play started around the release of Saviors of Kamigawa. Which is, in a strange coincidence, about the time I signed up here.
im 25 in october started during the dark quit at mirage got back in during masques and have been in ever since. Love this game, just got to make sure not to go to crazy again when a new set comes out (bought a case, not a box of 36 boosters, for judgement) lol. Im a vintage group gamer, not seen much in the tourney circuit, I usually only go to pre-release events and the odd friday night magic draft. The best part of this game is trying to make any card work in a deck and seeing everyones response when they say "you did what with that?!?!?".
Same here.
