This has the likely effect of making those potential customers... no longer potential customers.
Couldn't have said it better.
Messels, I must be honest and say that your behavior in this thread is unbelievable in my eyes, especially since I make a living off advertising.
Plenty of people here have given constructive criticism that you just seem to read past. There's actual research that corroborates with the opinion of most here on the issue of your writing style. Proper capitalization and grammar is EXTREMELY important when advertising a product, no matter if it is on a magazine, billboard, internet banner, or a forums post. Your response to this concern, which has been brought up many times by your potential customers, is simply "no it isn't". This kind of response makes it seem like what you want from this thread isn't suggestions, but unconditional praise.
You also haven't put in the slightest bit of effort to come across as a nice person. You complain so much about the snide remarks, but guess what - as a business, you need to respond to those on a professional and respectful manner. This will make you seem reasonable and trustable, instead of someone who answers potential insults with more insult. If you're willing to sink as low as those supposedly throwing snide remarks at you, it really doesn't help your company's case here.
Sorry, but no matter how useful your products are, your reactions to this thread alone make me not want to do business with you.
And lastly, I hope you don't see this post as an attack on you or as snide remarks, but as a frank opinion from someone who's not only a potential customer, but a professional in advertising. I really think Power 9 Pro would come across as a much more likeable company if you just took the time and worked on these issues.
I have to chime in on the grammar issue as well. When I look to do potential buisness with someone, and see them using grammar shortcuts, and casual errors, it makes me think that they are unprofessional. Now, I'm not saying that you lack professionalism. I don't know you from Adam, but when I see what reads as a lazy post to me, it carries a certain weight to it.
In a buisness, you have so very few opportunities to make an impression on potential customers, and every little bit helps (or hurts).
Okay, rereading posts where capitalization is not related to capitalism, it makes a bit more sense.
*facepalm*
I do agree that your posts would look a lot better for you and your company with capital letters and italics, instead of underscores, for emphasis. 1024 views, this thread has. That's a lot of potential customers, and I don't doubt you have lost some.
But I am not trying to have a go at you. Although I've stopped playing paper magic, I would have liked to have a box quite like the Dragon's Egg, but with a few key differences: If it had one side for decks, maybe three of them, then the other for other things you want to take - if there were trays or other ways of storing things like dice, this would be much more appealing than having to store them in the deck sections (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) Also, if each section had a divider for a sideboard, that could come out, it would be considerably easier to use. You could have all of the dividers but one in the middle come out - so you could carry the full amount of decks, or just one with a lot of extra things, or 1/2, or 3/4. Also, if it had a pocket for a separately sold trade binder, this would be a great feature. I wouldn't go to an event with this and another bag, so I would want it to carry everything I would normally take.
About the capitalization, I agree fully with what people have been saying.
Sure, I'm sure I don't always speak with correct grammar, and I often leave things uncapitalized. THat being said, I'm not trying to convince anybody to buy my product. I think as long as a post is decent, I don't mind it being messy. However, if the owner of a company or whatever is trying to sell me his product, I'd much prefer to see well thought out, grammatical and capitalized posts. Why? Because already, due to the fact that Power9Pro is a new company, I'd be fairly wary of it. Speaking without good grammar/capitalization makes you seem like a random guy on the internet. I am used to people when speaking about business, not speaking in such a casual setting. So yes, I would think that you should capitalize your first letters, even if other people on the forum don't need to. It really gives the impression that your just some random guy, not somebody using MTGS to gain customers for a business,
