Okay, first off, I have no clue at all on where I should put this, or if it's been done before. And second, there's no bad intention for making this, I just want to see how people on here feel about stuff like this.:D
'Scuse me if it doesn't read right, but I ported this survey from a forum that has things which do not exist in here. You know, like nations, and shrews, and a war game. Oh, and that Damnation vs. Wrath of God debate doesn't count as war.
Gah, I talk too much, so here're the questions:
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. We have read their posts, seen how they behave through their posts and has found out some things about them through their posts too. Surely, we have known them through the way they interact not only with us, but also with other people. Now, if I am to ask you: "Who is your Idol in the MTGS forums and why?" What would be your answer? And the reason why you see him or her as your idol can be anything, as long as it is really honestly answered. So please, explain your answer as clearly as possible.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? I am not forcing you to say it, but if you agree, I'll be most grateful. Also, why of all people did you choose to open up to that fellow member or friend of yours? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them. Okay, if that is hard to understand, let us try this: Who are the two people that you know that: (1) can keep you entertained with the site enough to stay as an active member and (2) you are rest assured that they can help you in issues regarding the MTGS forums like nation system questions and many other things. Then, please tell me why you chose those two people. Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
1. I think I have brought something to forums, but I don't hold myself to very high regards. I've interacted with a lot of the well-known names around Sally. I'm a pretty active trader. Hey, without me, Jabberwocky would not have his Essence Flare.
2. This may seem mean or rude, but I think there are the "haves" and the "have-nots." Y'know, there are those people that you see their screen name once and never again, then there are those people you can't avoid, even if you try.
3. I'm not very close to anyone here, but Edghyatt. He'll be in my e-Reich. Not sure on anyone else.
4. Since the end of '08. I've built a slight reputation for myself, mostly as a trader. As for regrets, I regret some of my late-night posts that ended in warnings from the staff. v_v'
5. My idols on MtGSalvation are probably the older traders. Those ones that don't take peoples' ****, but are still good, fair traders.
6. I opened up about the stressful situations in my life to Edghyatt a number of times. He's a great friend and one of the most caring people I know.
7. Again, Edghyatt and. . . probably. . . Annorax. Edghyatt is not only a great friend, but a hilarious guy. I love to read what he posts. And, although he probably doesn't even know who I am, Annorax has really helped me out in the past, when I ask questions about trading.
8. My witness is honor and yes, I can say that I was absolutely honest.
Me: "Galadrial"? That cat's name should totally be Quumulox the Devastator.
Friend: Send in a request.
Me: These people don't understand. Cute things need violent and big-sounding names. Like, "Hey, have you seen my cat, Rakshor of the Blood-Pit Tribe?" Turns out the cat's, like, a five-week old kitten that makes everyone that sees it give the cliche "Aaaaaaaawww!" and a huge smile.
Friend: I think that would be a little too epic for regular folks.
Me: **** those *******. I want a kitten named Rakshor of the Blood-Pit Tribe. ****, I want a Blood-Pit Tribe of cats. They'd need other tribes to make cat-war with. Like, a next-door neighbor that's a crazy cat lady. She can have the Complete-******* Tribe.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I view myself as a regular poster, and the type of person to be brutally honest, feelings aside when it comes to certain subjects.
On another note If importance would get me anywhere on the forums i'd consider myself mildly important. i do answer Questions with as much honesty as possible, even amongst others who dont share my same views. Worthyness is proven in the way one handles themselves, and i've handled myself with a decent amount of truth, and i've never gotten more than the few infractions i've either earned or not.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Other members in my views are generally somewhat decent, some of them are annoying as hell, but i lump all people together as one usually. call it a holier than thou aspect. but people in general need to earn thier respective titles. as some things say, a Singular Person is wise, but People are Stupid.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
If i was given the chance. i would bring my clanmates most of all. some higher than others, some of my friends from elsewhere, however if they deem me their friend is entirely on them. But some of my clanmates Namely Seth Dracovich and Undedragolord get me more than some others. but that's all based on futility.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been with MTGS for just over 2 years, and i've acomplished nothing, aside from posting up to something like 2K or whatever. meh. i regret nothing, as i consider myself above emotional ties. and i dont tend to care about some things over others.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. We have read their posts, seen how they behave through their posts and has found out some things about them through their posts too. What would be your answer? And the reason why you see him or her as your idol can be anything, as long as it is really honestly answered. So please, explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I'd have to say one of my many Idols on MTGS are Lesurgo and Annorax, just because they are cool people. Rax' is honestly more cool because we have more or less the same opinions regarding some things. but aside from that. lesurgo or Gavin whichever he'd honestly prefer to be called seems like acool person in general. but meh.
Some of the people i have opened up to, regarding some things, personal beliefs, religion, ect.. all that fun **** that goes along with interacting with humans as a race.
I've mentioned 4 people above this one. but honestly 'rax and Seth Dracovich have the best way of keeping me entertained. Undeddragolord as a Very close second. just because we're friends. even if i grow bored with MTGS i will always check in because i have commited myself to MTG as a lifelong hobby. and i've been with the game for 16 years now, with the occasional breaks in between.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
Relegion aside, i would have to say that honesty is about one's personal safety and choices. but if there was such a probable thing as to believe what a singualr body/Vessle/ whatever one wishes to call themselves as an honest thing. then Yes.

1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I'm just a member that likes to have fun, and am honest.
Important? Everyone is.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Depends on the member (or members). But most generally I like and get along with everyone.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
Guardman, AsianInvasion, Ravus, Sir Auron25, Zaph, kpaca, Daftmouse, Ejdeha, MajoraX, and DarknessFalls.
Because they are among some of my best MTGS internet friends.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
1 year, 8 months, and 8 days.
I was apart of and won Clan of the Year 2008 with The Izzet. I also won Best Member 2008 in the MTGS Forum Awards.
Things I have regretted? I have many, but mostly I wish I wasn't such a prick for so long to a few people that didn't deserve it.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. We have read their posts, seen how they behave through their posts and has found out some things about them through their posts too. My idol? Probably either Avatar of Kokusho or Guardman. Ones Crazy, the other is insane. But they are both funny.
No one from this particular forum, or nothing major.
Guardman, and Zaph probably.
Both are very friendly and are honest.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Yeah, I'm important. As important as anyone else is. To prove this, I entered BotU (Battle of the Users), and with some campaigning, I got to the finals! There are many douches here at MTGS whom I really dislike, but I just put them in my ignore list and go on with my life. I value peace and frown upon confrontation.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Gee, man. There are like 41000+ members!... I think we have a very diverse community, and a good representation of a worldwide MTG-playing biosphere. Many members are interesting, and we have pretty much what society's made of: the rebels, the clerics, the politicians, the philosophers, the scientists, the soldiers... you get the point!:p Can't get any clearer than that, sawry.:-/
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
My friends, you can see who they are by seeing who voted for me at BotU and who didn't. I consider myself a nice person, and as such I try to approach people like that. Rudeness is a huge turn-off.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I regret spam (I'm not talking about mine, here). I've been here since April 2008 (posting... I've been lurking since 2005). Sometimes I'm very clear. Sometimes I'm cryptic. I think these answers are sufficiently answered with succinct phrases. Sorry for the lack of details.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. I guess it's gotta be yawg07. Not only is he my favorite artist among the ones who post in the Altered Card Art thread, but because I think he's one of the nicest members ever (one of the reasons he's my favorite). The guy's just cool and has some valuable opinions and an overall useful presence. I pretty much idolize him. There's also Kank, and |CDM|, and wcsae, and God of Cyanide... I respect anyone who's a grown adult with lives, jobs, and/or families and still takes time to post here. Props to all of them! And of course, I love Zaccormon!;) I'd actually love to keep a healthy permanent online friendship with anyone at MTGS who's worth my time (yes, this obviously means a lot of people aren't. I believe in the power of choice. Douches choose to be such).
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? It was a matter of time until I decided to approach people here, and it worked. I've grown to like a lot of people here. I consider myself approachable, and because I'm reluctant to post too much here (you know, google search LOVES MTGS... what you say here stays on da intarwebz forevar!:p), I gladly invite anyone who wishes to know more about me to PM me... I can tell you anything you want there.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them. Name-dropping again?:-/ I could tell you, but only via PM...
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
Of course not... it's in the SYM forums, for god's sake...
Oh yeah, I value people who take things with a grain of salt!:D I apologize in advance if anything here was useless in the least.
I do like everyone who's posted here so far... especially Zac!:p
That's mostly for humorous reasons... I hope this is not a very serious project.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I think i am that kind of member who just wants to have a fun time by enjoying and having new friends in this community.
I also think that everyone is an important part of the community so long as they help and contribute in their own way/s.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Okay, there are thousands of members...I don't know most of them, i know some of them, and i get along with them if i want to.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
probably my closest friends, but i'm open to anyone.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I have been here in around 3 months (since March 5th, 2009). I have accomplished being noticed by others as a guy who is addicted to posting.
If there was something i regretted, it would be sometimes not being any fun at all. (ask AI).
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. hmm, probably either Psi or spiderboy4. Psi's a good guy who gets along with everyone (which is great), and SB4 is one of my favorite artists and is also a pretty good guy.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? I am not forcing you to say it, but if you agree, I'll be most grateful. Also, why of all people did you choose to open up to that fellow member or friend of yours? No one in particular here in the forums. And nothing big or serious.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them. Okay, if that is hard to understand, let us try this: Who are the two people that you know that: (1) can keep you entertained with the site enough to stay as an active member and (2) you are rest assured that they can help you in issues regarding the MTGS forums like nation system questions and many other things. well, let's just say that i wouldn't be able to spend so much time here like i do now if not for one member who "brought me to my senses".
I view myself as one poster among many. I don't think I am important, nor do I think anyone else here is more important than another. I don't plan on doing anything to prove my worth, because there's no need to prove my worth to an online community.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I view them as people who play magic and post on the internet.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I don't think I would create one. I'm already a happy member of a clan.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
A few years? I haven't accomplished anything or done anything I regret because honestly in the end everything I do here is simply on the internet and really doesn't matter.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. We have read their posts, seen how they behave through their posts and has found out some things about them through their posts too. I can't say I have an idol because I don't try to be like anyone else on here, and I don't really look up to anyone either. There are people I like, but not people I want to be like.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? I am not forcing you to say it, but if you agree, I'll be most grateful. Also, why of all people did you choose to open up to that fellow member or friend of yours? Nope.
If I had to rely on someone regarding issues about the site I'd say the admin/mod team. That's their job after all. Other than that I don't rely on anyone to keep me entertained, because most of the time its not the same people who do that.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
Sure. But really there's no point. This is an internet forum. I could have lied about all of these and none would be the wiser. Stop taking it so seriously.
Media is not making me steal. But in a way is like the story of the very hot girl with the short skirt teasing the old sick guy with a history of rape.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I'm the member everyone wants to leave but doesn't. Why? Meh... Otherwise, I'm invisible the other half of the time. It's probably because I'm on everyone's "ignore" list. Sometimes I think even the Mods have me on their ignore lists even though they're supposed to be modding posts. Am I important? No. This site would go on the same with or without me. I come here because I'm really bored. This site isn't entertaining, it's just a place I go to.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Everyone is very pretentious. Half of the people on this site fit into the gamer stereotype despite everyone vehemently being against stereotyping. Of course, that's just flaunting their conformity further.
People on this site sometimes are very knowledgeable, much more than myself, but they can tend to be narrow sighted as well. This is different from being narrow minded. A narrow sighted person keeps an open mind but his judgment is greatly impaired. He falls easily to deception and his emotions.
From my time on this site, I have been let down from time and time again by the most "intellectual" members of this site. I have grown to realize to take everything said with a grain of salt and that the wisest man is the person who listens to himself. My advice is to never be intimidated. The bulk of knowledgeable people are not individualists and what they say is ultimately really shallow.
I used to respect the Mods as a younger member but much of that has waned. The Mods on this site have really taught me that people have a lot facades and that there is a difference between people who believe in well-intentioned ideals and those who are actually well-intentioned. The only staff members I put into special regard nowadays is Hannes and Lesurgo. Lesurgo for being a truly honorable member and Hannes because he is owner of the site.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I would not create a subclan. I don't list people I respect in any particular order.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been here 2+ years. From that time, I've graduated high school and went on to college. I don't regret anything I've done on this site but I regret a lot of things in my life. Largely, I'm the same person then as I was now with improved grammar and more expansive vocabulary.
Fatguypoolshark. I admire him because I agree with a lot of things he says. No one is really an idol, though. No one has proven to deserve such a lofty title.
No, MTGS isn't for that.
I don't know... Snoopdogatogg is helpful but I wouldn't say I'd ever rely on her. Rely on yourself before you rely on others.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
Yes? No? Does anyone really care??? In the moment, I meant everything I said.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I view myself as a fairly active member (at least in some parts of the forum). While not important, I feel that I am fairly well recognized by other members of the forums and respected well enough.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I view the other members of the forums at times with respect, and other times with annoyance. It all depends on what is going on in the game of mafia. If they are making good points, I respect them. If their points suck, and they are just "obvscum is obvious" without citing details, I tend to get annoyed.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
1) Loran16. when playing mafia, he is consistantly a skilled player, when contributing to [The Family] he always saying what's on his mind. He's just an all around chill guy. 2) Nai. Despite the walls of text, which can be moderately annoying when you are trying to reread, or come in as a replacement, he is consistantly contributing his two cents and wants the best for the town. Plus, he agrees with me a good amount of the time, which is always a plus. 3) AvatarofKokusho. One of the best moderators on the site, always respectful, even when she's pouring infractions on you head. 4) Memnarch. The origonator of the arms race, and someone who is always fun. 5) iLord. My arms race rival. We killed eachother in the final round of Arms Race I.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I have been on MTGS for over a year, and I haven't done anything super important, nor do I regret anything.
I don't really have one.
Magic Coffeehouse. 'Nuff said.
There isn't just two people. you've got Hannes, the mod team, Omna15 and the coffeehouse, the mafia players, the other gamers, the humorists, the card designers, the rumor sharks... the list goes on. You can't name two people.
Eh, I may have a big post count, and people know me, but I don't see myself as important. Sure sometimes I may come through with something good to point out and other times I may just misunderstand something and get warned/infracted, but hey I'm just your usual MTG player with a nack for WBR.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
At first glance I view everyone how I view myself: Your normal casual player who may or may not take interest in tournaments. As I see the posts of people over and over I get a sense of "he's a tourney player" or "he's a budget player", etc, etc. Very few people on this forum have earned my dislike and even then half the time I just ignore it.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
The only reason there already isn't a Clan Shadowheart is because the [Pack] Already takes the flavor dept. in the clan multiverse. As for the ten, all because they're good flavor junkies and friends of mine.
(In no order)

4. George

4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been here since, well in the little box next to me it says Oct 2007, but I was a guest lurker for years before that. What have I accomplished? Well making a lot of good MTG buddies, cataloging all my current decks in one place for people to critique, and just having some fun. Eh, I regret some of my stupider moments that got me warning/restrictions. Not reading rules to something and thinking it was open, saying something in the worng forum, etc, etc. Nothing really major though.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. Hmmm an MTGS idol. That's a good question, I really don't view anyone as an "Idol" but I do have a bit of "higher respect" for the following people
Rancored_Elf (no, not because he's a mod)
Horseshoe Hermit
Everyone in the [Pack] (my friends are my family and as such they deserve such respect)
I've opened up quite a bit to my good friends in the [Pack]. They could probably all write a good sized biography about me if they really wanted to. I like being perfectly open and honest with the people I care about.
I can say I always can rely on Castle and SlimDante. Slim because he's been a close friend for years that recently got active on he forum. Castle was probably one of my frist real friend in the forum from the [Pack] and as such we get a long quite a bit. So yeah, I think they could keep me in check.
I don't think I'm much worthwhile here unless you want to be amused by me, Furthermore... I forgot... forget the furthermore part...
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I view them as comrades to say the least, and some even as friends. Some as mentors. and if it came down to it I'd probably poke a few with a stick while they were asleep and declare them a zombie upon their waking.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I curently cannot choose 10 people, but I know I'd bring Seth Dracovitch, my brother in arms and best friend. I'd als bring Ravarshi because of the fun that's to be had there.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been around a few months and I've accomplished very little.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. I'd have to point at Seth again, probably because he is close to my heart and is always there to help answer my MTG questions.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? I am not forcing you to say it, but if you agree, I'll be most grateful. Also, why of all people did you choose to open up to that fellow member or friend of yours? Not to any I wasn't already open with.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them. Seth Dracovitch and whatever person keeps ruling on his questions that he posts for me.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
No and I wouldn't begin to try... but i did answer somewhat seriously...
Heh, this might be a little amusing. But I am a little tired right now, so my answers won't be as animated as they could be...
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I'm just another member among thousands, and I don't really see myself as a very important part of the forum, so to speak. Not any more than any other members. I don't really think my presence is very noticeable most of the time, actually.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
They are Magic players who want to talk about Magic with other Magic players, or want to talk about "real-life stuff" with Magic players because Magic players have much in common.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I have never actively tried to build myself some sort of MtGSalvation community around me, apart from being a member of various clans. Some dudes from 499 and Shatter and Spikes and stuff would probably take the slots
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Been here for a little over four years now, haven't accomplished anything at all, using my own definition of "accomplishment". I don't regret anything either. Why would I, how does it matter anyway?
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. No internet idols for me, I'm afraid... I'm not sure if I have any idols at all, really, so I can't say there are anyone in here I would rank that highly, no offense to anyone
I haven't. I don't talk about my real life that much, and I don't talk about "my inner feelings" on teh intrawebs. To be completely honest, I don't think I would ever reveal too much of myself to people I have never even met (though there are some people here I actually have met, but exceptions, exceptions!). I talk about Magic and just generally what I do, but I'm not exactly blogging about my real life here, to put it that way. That said, what I am telling other people on Sally is the truth. I mean like, obviously, but I just thought I should say it...
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them. There are a lot of members I like, and I don't want to rank anyone over others.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
I don't do that sort of stuff, sorry I would like to comment more on that, but it's very late now, and I'm too tired. I let you judge, whatever I say here, it shouldn't really change anything considering I could actually be a completely different person altogether and there's just about no way to control whether what I'm saying really is really real... If I actually lie, what difference would that make?
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I'd say I'd rank as fairly important. I mean, I'm an admin and that must count for something, right? But even apart from my staff position and the obvious work and contributions there, I think I was a decent voice in the community prior to all that.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I think we have some of the greatest community members that a site like ours could aspire to. Intelligent, thoughtful, enthusiastic posters whose contributions are almost always worth checking out. The community is only as great as it is on the backs of these posters and they are forever appreciated for it.
That said, this community is also home to some really terrible members. I mean, I can't and won't sugarcoat it: a lot of our members suck. They put little thought or effort into what they do here, inexplicably believe that quantity can compensate for quality (no, 30 bad posts don't equal one good post), talk at people rather than discuss - I've seen more than I think many of you understand. At times the only thing that makes slogging through the chaff worthwhile is the notion that some of these posters will one day grow into exceptional members of the community. And they can, if they try.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I would bring along the Gutter. Or, I'd just leave it there and chill. And I maintain the group because of the important perspective they often give me. They're fun, too, but their real value to me are as voices of sanity. When my dealings on the forum can get summed up as "What the hell is that poster thinking!?!", they ease the facepalm pain.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been here since Day 1. Or maybe it was Day 2. One of those days.
I think I've accomplished a lot. Gaymers is a hugely long-running clan, which has in turn brought help and support to many posters in need. Real-Life Advice is a subforum that I'm honestly quite proud of, one that exemplifies the power of community. When I think of accomplishments, I think of things like that - things I've had a hand in that have resulted in real impact to peoples' lives.
As far as regrets, I have few. I want to say my early days as a mod where I was a million different things at once (too lenient in some cases, too heavy handed in others, etc), but even that I can chalk up to growing pains. If there's any one thing I can point to as regrettable it's that it took me a long time to get past the need to be liked. That's regrettable in that it has often been a hurdle in my moderating and one that was a bit naive. I'm not going to be universally liked here, to busy myself to fight that is just dumb.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. Annorax. He to me embodies what I mean when I say I have hope for those I see as poor members of the community. By all rights, Annorax ought to have been banned by now. But he's not. He turned that around, worked towards helping and not hurting. To me, that says a lot.
Idol is a strong word I think, but Annorax is in my mind an embodiment of an ideal that I value so perhaps it fits.
Yes and no. I'm typically rather open to begin with but by the same token, I can't say that I've ever done the share & care and love & grow thing with anyone here. I have opened up as part of a strong discussion or as a part of advice, but for the most part I'm not one to draw attention to my vulnerabilities. Even in private.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them. AoK and Annorax. My associates on here as well as the staff are all great, but in terms of those I really rely on heavily, it's those two. Bouncing problems off them, venting about particularly frustrating things, appreciating each other when crap is not taken - AoK and Annorax are my go to guys.
To put it in Magic terms, Annorax is the blue and AoK is the green to my white. Annorax brings out my dispassionate, analytical side - keeps me focused on what needs to be done and how to best maintain order. AoK is a nurturing force for me, supportive and stalwart and who keeps me focused on the human element of the community - but reminds me what sort of force of nature a pissed off mother can be when push comes to shove and that human element shows its horrible underbelly.

Depends on whom you ask as to whether I would be viewed as important. If you asked the people who were participating with me in games on the coloseum then I would definitely be considered important. I might also be considered important on the Legacy boards, and also on the Elder Dragon Highlander boards. However elsewhere, probably not so much.
As for what I would do to prove my worth, I don't see why I would have to prove my worth to anyone?
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I view most of them indiferently. However there are a select few whom I consider to be some of my dearest friends and confidants whom I would disclose stuff to that I would never discuss with people in real life.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
That is extremely difficult for me to answer. I think this desire for my own clan has already been fulfilled both in Psi's extendo and in the Planar Chaos Clan. I am more than satisfied with both groups of people.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
You are asking me to remember as much as possible from like the last 2 or 3 years of my life... not going to happen!
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. I don't really have one at the moment. There was a time when I would have said "Ti'rin." However that has changed recently with his attitude issues towards me and other posters. However if I absolutely must choose a person to be my "Idol" I would have to go with Avatar of Kokusho if only because she is one of the nicest people on the forum, and has always been very friendly to me and others I have seen her interact with. So yeah that is who I would pick.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? Depends on what you mean by "open up to." cause I have told my friends a great deal about me. I think the one friend I have told the most about me is Cecilia, but I would rather not share what I said about myself.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them. With regards to point 1: GigaGuess, RedDwarfian, and Landil (yes I added a third)
With regards to point 2: Avatar of Kokusho, and Johm000
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
Um... I don't swear oaths of any sort on my deities unless it is a life or death situation....
However I can assure you I did answer the questions honestly and seriously.

1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I view myself as somewhat important even though I am not one of the most popular members here (some of it has to do with my stance on "strictly better"). I feel I have made many quality posts that have definately contributed to the forums, even if it doesn't like it at first.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Most of them are really awesome and chill as long as you do the same to them. It can be irritating when talking with someone who disagrees with what you say and doesn't back down from what they say.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
The first five are former clan buddies of mine back in the beginnings of House Dimir that I still have awesome memories with even if Xander and Azarael are inactive and Mortal Wombat is banned. The next five are some of the best strategists on the site IMO for their respective formats, and I feel that these people bring a lot to the table when it comes to Magic. They all also have some sort of sense of humor that can help lighten things up in a tense moment.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been here for over 4 years which is definately a long time considering I was only 14 years old when I joined here...
I was a former member and leader of House Dimir and I left because of personal reasons + my life getting really busy. The only thing I really care about acheiving is just being known as a solid member who has been a veteran for since forever. The only thing I regret was telling everyone I would leave back in 2007 because I hated some of the staff's decisions back then. My hiatus only lasted a month or two lol. I really wanted to come back.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. I am not going to say "idol" since that is really strong and a bit over the top. Preferrably, I would say "admire" instead.
The one poster I definately admire has to be Finn. This guy brings something to the table in the Legacy forums that few other people bring. His posting abilities and explanation of detail make his posts very fun and informative to read. Something I can explain is something Finn can put into words much better than I can. He has helped head the construction of brand new archetypes in Legacy including Death and Taxes which is probably one of the best designed decks I have ever seen. He doesn't have a ridiculous post count, but he definately understands quality over quantity. Finn is a person I definately love to listen to when he posts.
I have honestly not done this because for the most part my life has been good ever since I joined here halfway through my freshman year of high school. I guess it has to do partly with my parents raising me really well and keeping me out of trouble for the most part. Now that I'm 18 and going to my local community college (with the intention of transferring to a university), I'll soon live on my own and I'll be always making my own choices in life. Maybe in the future I'll have to do something like this, but I feel good that I can be able to come here to MTGS and talk to someone I do really know if things aren't going good.
I can definately rely on someone like Johm000. He has shown to be an excellent moderator and I've talked to him a few times on occasion (not heart to heart talks, but just normal stuff). I can also definately rely on him to be a good MTG strategist
The other person I would be able to rely on is PurpleD. Even though I don't talk to him as much as I used to, we definately go back a long way back to the very beginning of House Dimir (and maybe even further!). PurpleD is one awesome dude that has definately shown he loves MTGS (just look at his post count!) and has made all sorts of friends here knowing that he can be someone to rely on.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
Yes I definately know inside of myself that I did so
Let's have some fun here, shall we? Answers in bold.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I don't see myself as overly important. As someone prior to me said, there's 41,000+ members of MTGS. Maybe half of which post with regularity. I don't think I'm any more special than the next member, and I honestly don't want to be.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Most of the other members on the forum are really nice. Most of them. Go into my blog to see prime examples of members whom I think are not so nice. (Obligatory plug now complete!:p)
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I would bring along members that I think would be a lot of fun. To be honest (and I hope that mentioning these two aren't an infractable offense) I would bring along The Fallen Evincar and Ixidorsdreams AKA sleeping Villian. The former was just a riot to listen to and was one of the few members to make me laugh on a constant basis. The latter was one of our most knowledgable members in terms of storyline. The others I would bring are mostly members that I have encountered in the Clan forum (since that's where the vast majority of my posts occur nowadays): RickCorgan, Shadowlord, waymc, rianalnn, Seth Dracovich, Caranthir, sneakyhomunculus, and Edghyatt. All of which I have grown to like and respect a great deal.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been here since the beginning. I came with the mass exodus from MTGNews in January 2005. I realize that that's a REAL long time to be here and only accumulate, what, 1,280 posts? That's one of my regrets, that I haven't posted more. I think I only have that many posts mainly because I want to make sure that every one of my posts contains something interesting, something that truly adds to the discussion of whatever I'm replying to. As for accomplishments, I think the main one that I'm proud of is rising to Clan Rep of the second-most well-known clan on the site, the Greek Alliance.
I can't say that I have any idols on the site. I think that everyone here adds something unique to the whole experience of the forums. I also don't believe in having idols. I just try to make my own miniscule contribution in my own way, regardless of who came before me and who came after me.
I see that it's time for another plug.:p I created my blog on the site primarily as a way to open up to members in a way I don't think I would be comfortable with on the forums proper. Other than that, I've opened up primarily to my clanmates, since I've grown to trust them and value their insights a lot more than perhaps some of the people that I know outside of MTGS.
I think that this question might be somewhat tied to question 3, but fine. I haven't stayed on the forums just because of a couple people. The main reason I've stayed on the site is because I honestly have nothing better to do.:p Well, that and most of the discussions that arise on the forums are great fun to be a part of. As for the second part of the question, if I ever had any problems with the forums (which has about the same chance of happening as me willingly entering any sort of religious building again) I think I would rely on either Caranthir or Yukora.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
I swear on myself that I have answered the questions sarcastically. As for honestly, that's for each person to evaluate himself or herself.

1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I don't think I'm that important. Sure I like to think I have some status in the Clan forums as leader of the dreaded Clan Mono-Black, though Svogthir still gets credit as the primary founder, so I just picked up the pieces. Still, my ego likes when I think I am important. I do want to begin posting more in the deck forums and not only expand my knowledge of the decks, but become more well known.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
There are some who I view as my "MTGS Friends" like Psi/AI and the crew from their extendos, and a few others from the Clan area as well. The people I know of I know mostly as strong voices who know stuff. Other people, sadly, don't make enough of an impact on me personally to mention them any further.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I can't already create a clan because I'd create a CMB again :p.
The people I'd bring in to my "Ultimate Clan" would be the following because they are great posters, funny, and are nice to talk to:
Psi, AsianInvasion, Guardman, Darth Bunny, Ravus, Zaph, Shrubby, Daftmouse, Greymon90210, and duffman9013
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been on for about a year and a half. My biggest feat is seizing control taking the helm of Clan Mono-Black. I do want to lead us to a victory though in the contests. The other big one is making some cool online buddies like Psi, AI, ect. I do regret not posting as much and becoming more MTGSocial.
My idol? Well, its tough to chose one. I idolize Psi's sexual innuendo abilities. I guess I'd view Psi as one of my closest online buddies because I can anonimously rant to him if I need to do so. I also toss Darth Bunny into that category because his is doing a smashing job as my right hand man in the Clan! Aside from that Shin from the deck forums knows his stuff.
I haven't done so yet, just mini rants about friends who always bum stuff from me for FNMs and stuff, random girl trouble, complaints about other stuff. Nothing to serious. Still, I know I could rant to people if I probably need to, I just don't because I don't open up to anyone easily.:-/
1. Psi. I know Psi will always be entertaining and make me laugh at the end of a terrible day. In fact, most of his silly quotes decorate my Extendo. I also know I could rant to him about my life if I needed to.
2. Darth Bunny. Honestly, before he wouldn't have made this list, but recently, he has stepped up and helped me a bunch in Clan Mono-Black, even if he was reluctant. I also know I can rant to him in the Clan if need be.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
With Nicol Bolas as my witness, I swear to you with my honor on the Triple Alliance that I have answered these questions as best as I could, though it was difficult since my "e" key sticks badly now...
seems odd that you yourself haven't answered the questions
Try digging a survey from another forum, fixing it to conform with the rules of another forum, posting it, and posting your answers at a time when you'd normally be asleep.
Anyway, now that I have decent free time:
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Same as everyone, simply among one of the thousands (or ten.. or hundred) members. Important, not. I don't post all over the place, except in choice parts of the forum which I have enough interest in. So that's not really what you call being important.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
There's a good number of people in here who come to talk, among fellow Magic players, on variety of things. Whether it be about that crazy play they made, or the latest deck tech, or places to eat in Antarctica, there are people in this forum with alot of things to say. The fact that MTGS is still alive, up to now, is also a testament of how mods and admins run this site, and their ability to make key decisions which up to now have been essential in keeping this site running.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
Tough one. First, of all things, I'd probably bring people from my now-defunct clan, the Orzhov. I was made a clan leader there but ended up failing them due to being inactive, and eventually it fell by the wayside. As for people who were actually in there, I don't remember anyone except Krashbot, I'm sorry. For other people, maybe those posters who frequent the threads I post in. Notably, the NBA thread. That's all.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
4 years and 5 months! Wow. It's been that long. I joined this site when I was in grade school, and in a week's time I'm entering college... oh man, enough nostalgia. Moving on... I've accomplished, uh, nothing of interest. Post count isn't something of an accomplishment, considering there are tons of people who've been here half as long as I've been, yet have thrice my post count. As for regrets, I regret posting immaturely before, but thankfully this place made me improve my attitude on the internet. And again, for letting down my old clan.
Yesh, I don't really have one... but when I think of people whom I highly respect, rancored_elf for being the greatest rumormonger this site has ever had.
Nope.
No concrete answer, but one that comes to mind is Petear_Griffin. One of the most loyal sports fans I've seen, he stuck with the Trailblazers at their Jailblazer infamy, and is now enjoying seeing a fine, young team bound for success in the near future. As for the other, I can't say, there are a number of competent people whose posts entertain me.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
I swear , infront of my dog, who is right here while I'm typing, that I have answered this seriously.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Important might be a stretch, but I certainly think I'm relevant in Clans and Mafia. As for proving my worth, I'll probably keep playing mafia and clanning it up, but have no desire to really do much outside of that.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Honestly, I view them as a bunch of nerds and anime freaks, most of whom I would have made fun of in High School. This is not to say there aren't cool nerds or anime freaks, or others who aren't in one of these two categories, but that is how I view the majority of the member base.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
TFO
God of Cyanide
Psi
Guardman
Stormblind
Greymon90210
Seppel
ZeDorkSlipeur
Ecophagy
Ace
A good mix of people I know, awesome posters, etc.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I've been here since 2005, but was only active in 2005 for like 2 months. Then I went on hiatus until August 2008, when I returned with only 400 posts. I've accomplished 3000 posts in less than a year, and other than that I'm proud of becoming somewhat decent at mafia, and at least known. Regrets, none.
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. TheFallenEvincar. I thought he was hilarious, and kept it real for the most part. Keeping it real is big with me.
I've somewhat opened up to Psi, Guardman, Greymon90210, and TFO.
If I had to choose someone to trust with something important relating to this forum, I'd pick Arimnaes, who I hold a lot of respect for. If I had to choose someone to trust with a RL thing, I'd choose weedmonkey, who isn't really an active member here anyway.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness
Obviously Yes.

I view myself as an important member of this forum. I have contributed a lot, such as starting the Æsir, still trying to run the Vs., along with being a decent contributor and friendly (I think) member.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I like most of the members on this forum. I think most of them are decent peaple and while not all of them are the best posters, are fun and interesting to read and discuss with. As for the others, well they usually get banned or suspended, so it works out in the end.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
Psi
kpaca
GiftsTrix
Sir Auron25
Zaph
Sandsoft Blue
greymon90210
Daftmouse
Asian Invasion
Mr. Stuff
I guess it would be what I started the Æsir to be. A place for peaple to talk about random stuff and the such. As for the peaple I choose, well they are ten peaple I like to talk to.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Since January 2007, lurked mostly at first and then was brought into the fold by Psi.
I think I have accomplished a lot. I have built a strong base of friends and peaple I enjoy interacting with. I have also started the Æsir which I consider my child here. That is really all I've wanted to accomplish here to begin with.
As for regrets probably, but I can't remember what they are.
I would say PolarBearGod. He was one of my favorite peaple on this forum from the start and really embodied everything that a mod should be. He was nice and fun to talk too, and a good artist to boot.
Hmm... the only peaple I've opened up to are Psi and kpaca. As to what I've opened up about, well it is nothing too serious, since I am not a serious person. But more about my life, my stories, and my never ending insanity.
I am going with Psi and kpaca again. They have alwaysed been there if I needed them and they get it done. Without Psi I am pretty sure there would be no Æsir on Sally, or at least it wouldn't be as great as it is. And without kpaca I am pretty sure I wouldn't still be playing mafia or enjoying myself as much as I do.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
My witness will be Joe Pesci.
I swear to Joe Pesci that my answers are correct and honest.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
i view myself as a member... read into that what you will. am i important to this forum? well, that depends on what sense important takes. MTGS works without me, but is it as entertaining? value judgments of others and such; can't rightly say.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
that's really on a member by member basis. unfortunately, i often feel disappointed by other members, but this may be due to my tendency to hold others to the same high standards to which i hold myself.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
i couldn't list 10 people without leaving half of my clan off, and, as those guys are (mostly) good friends in real life, i would be remiss in doing so. nevermind that there are at least 10 other MTGSers that i would want to continue associating with (including a huge shoutout to the "original" [499]).
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
over 3.5 years. what have i accomplished?
- likely ended more debate threads than any non-mod
- had pissed off people who have pissed me off worse than they got me (always a plus in my book; this may be the brooklyn in me coming through the intarwebs...)
- started one of the largest clans on MTGS
- a lot of stuff in my personal life, none of which is necessarily worth mentioning.
So please, explain your answer as clearly as possible.
i like a lot of the members here, but i don't idolize any of them. i find it hard to idolize those younger than i am, which puts upwards of 95% of MTGS on the "not idolizing you, sorry" list.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? I am not forcing you to say it, but if you agree, I'll be most grateful. Also, why of all people did you choose to open up to that fellow member or friend of yours? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
i had a few serious discussions with some of the "original" [499] members; topics will not be repeated. obviously, i also have discussions with some of my clanmates, but those largely take place in real life.
Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
this is a really weird question. i'm active here for three reasons: my clan, magic rumors, and QRG, in that order. so i guess i don't need anyone to satisfy those conditions. in addition, others' idiocy amuses me, and thus i am never disappointed in the internet.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
honesty, yes. seriousness... me? that's a lot of hoping you're doing there...

Now playing Transformers: Legends. 27-time top tier finisher and admin of the TFL Wikia site.
1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I don't view myself as "important" with the exception of the standard forum threads for decks I'm currently playing at the time. I think all feedback is welcomed, sometimes begrudingly so, and I try to be as honest as possible when posting(sometimes bluntly so).
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I find other people on this forum to be on a whole more mature than those on the official magicthegathering.com website, but often inflated on their own ego as well. not ALL members are like this, but I've noticed the more competitive deck archetype threads can sometimes get out of hand for silly, silly reasons.
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I would bring Jokalhaups, TwoOnEight, Shin, PrideOfTheClouds, RunnerJimBob, and a few guys from my local store. it goes without saying that these guys are knowledgeable and know plenty about MTG, and usually tackle any problems that arise with a deck in creative, unique ways. plus, they crack jokes usually while doing so, and having a humerous air helps me be productive to deck developement.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible. I've been on these forums for what seems like two years now; in that time, I like to think I've helped new players with good advice that's not simply "this SUXSORS PLAY THIS LULZLULZLULZ". I also have tried to help what I consider "underdogs" of tier 2 decks, like Two Scoops. there's nothing I regret. So please, explain your answer as clearly as possible.
what a loaded question. I've three people I really respect on here, and whom when they post something, I'm sure to read it. those are:
TwoOnEight: a polite guy, and doesn't have a massive ego. that's a BIG plus for me. he's friendly, too.
JokalHaups: what an honest trader! there's been more than one time I was a bit late paying him, and he'd simply say "that's cool, I understand". he made transactions and trading as pleasent as possible.
PrideOfTheClouds: I can't count the times I'd look at his decklists and slap my head afterwards, going "D'OH! why didn'y I think of that?!?!". Pride makes decks that I actually not only have the stuff for, but WANT to play.
I've never trusted anyone on here enough to tell them more than what I do for my profession and that I have aspirations of being a writer. I get joy from helping others on here; but if I had to pick one person...well, just look at question 5. I would like to say that if it weren't for my occasional co-hosting on monday night magic, I probably wouldn't be on here as much as I am. Tom, Eric, Gavin, and Conley have made MTG a bigger experience for me, and though I've never met them face to face, I very much consider them all my friends. 8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
yep!

Thanks, Heroes of The Planes! You guys are great!

1. As a member of this forum boards, how do you view yourself? Do you think that you are important? If so, why do you think so? If not, why do you think as such and also, what do you plan on doing to prove your worth as a member? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
I don't think I'm important per se. I post often, but I like to view my stay in the forums as casual.
2. How do you view the other members here on the forums? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Overall, I think this is a forum with mostly pleasant people to chat with (Rumor Mill during rumor season not included).
3. If you are given the chance to create your very own clan/subforum/whatever fancy grouping you want, and bring along 10 people, who would you bring along and why? Would it be because they are fun to talk to? Have interesting things to say? Or because of something else?
I'm pretty happy with my clan, the Greek Alliance, since people there are smart and easy-going, and don't usually feel the need to be cynical about stuff. I guess I'd also bring along some good chaps from outside the clan, like Athani, Sene, QuietArtist, Sterling_Angel, and others.
4. How long have you been here in the MTGS forums? In that span of time, what have you accomplished? Also, are there some things that you have regretted while you are here in the MTGS forums? If so, what are they? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible. Been here since the beginning. I believe the closest thing I've had to an accomplishment is the recognition as one of the best cardmakers on the Custom Cards forums, back when I was more active there. I won an informal poll there once IIRC, after the mods forgot to put up a Best Cardmaker poll on the forums awards.
I don't think I have an idol per se, but there are people I admire. Of those, I guess I'd single out Hydrokinesis. I was around when he first started posting in the 'Mill, and he was the one who invited me to my clan. From every experience I had with the guy, he's about as nice a person as it gets. His constant good spirits and charisma are things I truly wish I had, and I miss having him around more.
Sure, I've talked about a lot of personal stuff with my clanmates. I can remember at least two occasions when I was going through rough times with previous girlfriends, and chats on MSN with them helped me get a fresh perspective on things. As for the reason why I opened up... I guess countless hours of smart conversation made us closer than I thought I'd ever be with people I've yet to meet in person.
That's a tough thing to do. I'd be hard pressed to find four people in my entire life in whom I can trust blindly. I do, however, trust people in my clan enough to talk personal stuff with them, and consider them my friends.
I do want to point out that work commitments have left me with less and less time to spare on MSN, and it makes me sad that I can no longer talk on a regular basis with some of my pals who don't post here anymore.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
Sure.
Signature by ChibiSwan at The Ugly Swan. Avatar by Magus of the Sheep at Scuttlemutt Productions.
My trade thread.
Other members in my views are generally somewhat decent, some of them are annoying as hell, but i lump all people together as one usually. call it a holier than thou aspect. but people in general need to earn thier respective titles. as some things say, a Singular Person is wise, but People are Stupid.
If i was given the chance. i would bring my clanmates most of all. some higher than others, some of my friends from elsewhere, however if they deem me their friend is entirely on them. But some of my clanmates Namely Seth Dracovich and Undedragolord get me more than some others. but that's all based on futility.
I've been with MTGS for just over 2 years, and i've acomplished nothing, aside from posting up to something like 2K or whatever. meh. i regret nothing, as i consider myself above emotional ties. and i dont tend to care about some things over others.
I'd have to say one of my many Idols on MTGS are Lesurgo and Annorax, just because they are cool people. Rax' is honestly more cool because we have more or less the same opinions regarding some things. but aside from that. lesurgo or Gavin whichever he'd honestly prefer to be called seems like acool person in general. but meh.
Some of the people i have opened up to, regarding some things, personal beliefs, religion, ect.. all that fun **** that goes along with interacting with humans as a race.
Relegion aside, i would have to say that honesty is about one's personal safety and choices. but if there was such a probable thing as to believe what a singualr body/Vessle/ whatever one wishes to call themselves as an honest thing. then Yes.

I'm just a member that likes to have fun, and am honest.
Important? Everyone is.
Depends on the member (or members). But most generally I like and get along with everyone.
Guardman, AsianInvasion, Ravus, Sir Auron25, Zaph, kpaca, Daftmouse, Ejdeha, MajoraX, and DarknessFalls.
Because they are among some of my best MTGS internet friends.
My idol? Probably either Avatar of Kokusho or Guardman. Ones Crazy, the other is insane. But they are both funny.
No one from this particular forum, or nothing major.
Guardman, and Zaph probably.
Both are very friendly and are honest.
I answered it all with honesty and seriousness.
We have read their posts, seen how they behave through their posts and has found out some things about them through their posts too.
I am not forcing you to say it, but if you agree, I'll be most grateful. Also, why of all people did you choose to open up to that fellow member or friend of yours? Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Okay, if that is hard to understand, let us try this: Who are the two people that you know that: (1) can keep you entertained with the site enough to stay as an active member and (2) you are rest assured that they can help you in issues regarding the MTGS forums like nation system questions and many other things.
I like 4/4s for 7.
I think i am that kind of member who just wants to have a fun time by enjoying and having new friends in this community.
I also think that everyone is an important part of the community so long as they help and contribute in their own way/s.
Okay, there are thousands of members...I don't know most of them, i know some of them, and i get along with them if i want to.
probably my closest friends, but i'm open to anyone.
I have been here in around 3 months (since March 5th, 2009). I have accomplished being noticed by others as a guy who is addicted to posting.
If there was something i regretted, it would be sometimes not being any fun at all. (ask AI).
hmm, probably either Psi or spiderboy4. Psi's a good guy who gets along with everyone (which is great), and SB4 is one of my favorite artists and is also a pretty good guy.
No one in particular here in the forums. And nothing big or serious.
well, let's just say that i wouldn't be able to spend so much time here like i do now if not for one member who "brought me to my senses".
Yeah, definitely.
What would be your answer? And the reason why you see him or her as your idol can be anything, as long as it is really honestly answered. So please, explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Please explain your answer as clearly as possible.
Nope.
I would not create a subclan. I don't list people I respect in any particular order.
I've been here 2+ years. From that time, I've graduated high school and went on to college. I don't regret anything I've done on this site but I regret a lot of things in my life. Largely, I'm the same person then as I was now with improved grammar and more expansive vocabulary.
Fatguypoolshark. I admire him because I agree with a lot of things he says. No one is really an idol, though. No one has proven to deserve such a lofty title. No, MTGS isn't for that.
I don't know... Snoopdogatogg is helpful but I wouldn't say I'd ever rely on her. Rely on yourself before you rely on others.
Yes?
I view the other members of the forums at times with respect, and other times with annoyance. It all depends on what is going on in the game of mafia. If they are making good points, I respect them. If their points suck, and they are just "obvscum is obvious" without citing details, I tend to get annoyed.
1) Loran16. when playing mafia, he is consistantly a skilled player, when contributing to [The Family] he always saying what's on his mind.
I have been on MTGS for over a year, and I haven't done anything super important, nor do I regret anything.
I don't really have one.
Magic Coffeehouse. 'Nuff said.
There isn't just two people. you've got Hannes, the mod team, Omna15 and the coffeehouse, the mafia players, the other gamers, the humorists, the card designers, the rumor sharks... the list goes on. You can't name two people.
yes.
Many thanks to Sgt. Chubbz of Damnation studios.

I've opened up quite a bit to my good friends in the [Pack]. They could probably all write a good sized biography about me if they really wanted to. I like being perfectly open and honest with the people I care about.
I can say I always can rely on Castle and SlimDante. Slim because he's been a close friend for years that recently got active on he forum. Castle was probably one of my frist real friend in the forum from the [Pack] and as such we get a long quite a bit. So yeah, I think they could keep me in check.
8. Can you honestly say, with God or whoever as your witness, that you have answered these questions with all honesty and seriousness?
By the honor of Shadowheart yes I have.
I view them as comrades to say the least, and some even as friends. Some as mentors. and if it came down to it I'd probably poke a few with a stick while they were asleep and declare them a zombie upon their waking.
I curently cannot choose 10 people, but I know I'd bring Seth Dracovitch, my brother in arms and best friend. I'd als bring Ravarshi because of the fun that's to be had there.
I've been around a few months and I've accomplished very little.
I'd have to point at Seth again, probably because he is close to my heart and is always there to help answer my MTG questions.
Not to any I wasn't already open with. Seth Dracovitch and whatever person keeps ruling on his questions that he posts for me.
No and I wouldn't begin to try... but i did answer somewhat seriously...
can I have a cookie now?

I'm just another member among thousands, and I don't really see myself as a very important part of the forum, so to speak. Not any more than any other members. I don't really think my presence is very noticeable most of the time, actually.
They are Magic players who want to talk about Magic with other Magic players, or want to talk about "real-life stuff" with Magic players because Magic players have much in common.
I have never actively tried to build myself some sort of MtGSalvation community around me, apart from being a member of various clans. Some dudes from 499 and Shatter and Spikes and stuff would probably take the slots
Been here for a little over four years now, haven't accomplished anything at all, using my own definition of "accomplishment". I don't regret anything either. Why would I, how does it matter anyway?
No internet idols for me, I'm afraid... I'm not sure if I have any idols at all, really, so I can't say there are anyone in here I would rank that highly, no offense to anyone
There are a lot of members I like, and I don't want to rank anyone over others.
I'd say I'd rank as fairly important. I mean, I'm an admin and that must count for something, right? But even apart from my staff position and the obvious work and contributions there, I think I was a decent voice in the community prior to all that.
Yes and no. I'm typically rather open to begin with but by the same token, I can't say that I've ever done the share & care and love & grow thing with anyone here. I have opened up as part of a strong discussion or as a part of advice, but for the most part I'm not one to draw attention to my vulnerabilities. Even in private.
Sure. Why lie?

Depends on whom you ask as to whether I would be viewed as important. If you asked the people who were participating with me in games on the coloseum then I would definitely be considered important. I might also be considered important on the Legacy boards, and also on the Elder Dragon Highlander boards. However elsewhere, probably not so much.
As for what I would do to prove my worth, I don't see why I would have to prove my worth to anyone?
I view most of them indiferently. However there are a select few whom I consider to be some of my dearest friends and confidants whom I would disclose stuff to that I would never discuss with people in real life.
That is extremely difficult for me to answer. I think this desire for my own clan has already been fulfilled both in Psi's extendo and in the Planar Chaos Clan. I am more than satisfied with both groups of people.
You are asking me to remember as much as possible from like the last 2 or 3 years of my life... not going to happen!
Depends on what you mean by "open up to." cause I have told my friends a great deal about me. I think the one friend I have told the most about me is Cecilia, but I would rather not share what I said about myself.
With regards to point 1: GigaGuess, RedDwarfian, and Landil (yes I added a third)
With regards to point 2: Avatar of Kokusho, and Johm000
Um... I don't swear oaths of any sort on my deities unless it is a life or death situation....
However I can assure you I did answer the questions honestly and seriously.
I view myself as somewhat important even though I am not one of the most popular members here (some of it has to do with my stance on "strictly better"). I feel I have made many quality posts that have definately contributed to the forums, even if it doesn't like it at first.
Most of them are really awesome and chill as long as you do the same to them. It can be irritating when talking with someone who disagrees with what you say and doesn't back down from what they say.
PurpleD, Xander, Mortal Wombat, Master Beeble, Azarael, Finn, Johm000, Nonprophet, Machius, and glurman.
Yes I definately know inside of myself that I did so
I don't see myself as overly important.
I can't say that I have any idols on the site. I think that everyone here adds something unique to the whole experience of the forums. I also don't believe in having idols. I just try to make my own miniscule contribution in my own way, regardless of who came before me and who came after me.
Many thanks to:

I don't think I'm that important. Sure I like to think I have some status in the Clan forums as leader of the dreaded Clan Mono-Black, though Svogthir still gets credit as the primary founder, so I just picked up the pieces. Still, my ego likes when I think I am important. I do want to begin posting more in the deck forums and not only expand my knowledge of the decks, but become more well known.
There are some who I view as my "MTGS Friends" like Psi/AI and the crew from their extendos, and a few others from the Clan area as well. The people I know of I know mostly as strong voices who know stuff. Other people, sadly, don't make enough of an impact on me personally to mention them any further.
I've been on for about a year and a half. My biggest feat is
seizing controltaking the helm of Clan Mono-Black. I do want to lead us to a victory though in the contests. The other big one is making some cool online buddies like Psi, AI, ect. I do regret not posting as much and becoming more MTGSocial.
I haven't done so yet, just mini rants about friends who always bum stuff from me for FNMs and stuff, random girl trouble, complaints about other stuff. Nothing to serious. Still, I know I could rant to people if I probably need to, I just don't because I don't open up to anyone easily.:-/
With Nicol Bolas as my witness, I swear to you with my honor on the Triple Alliance that I have answered these questions as best as I could, though it was difficult since my "e" key sticks badly now...
Try digging a survey from another forum, fixing it to conform with the rules of another forum, posting it, and posting your answers at a time when you'd normally be asleep.
Anyway, now that I have decent free time:
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. Yesh, I don't really have one... but when I think of people whom I highly respect, rancored_elf for being the greatest rumormonger this site has ever had.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? Nope.

I've been here since 2005, but was only active in 2005 for like 2 months. Then I went on hiatus until August 2008, when I returned with only 400 posts. I've accomplished 3000 posts in less than a year, and other than that I'm proud of becoming somewhat decent at mafia, and at least known. Regrets, none.

TheFallenEvincar. I thought he was hilarious, and kept it real for the most part. Keeping it real is big with me.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? I've somewhat opened up to Psi, Guardman, Greymon90210, and TFO.

I would say PolarBearGod. He was one of my favorite peaple on this forum from the start and really embodied everything that a mod should be. He was nice and fun to talk too, and a good artist to boot.
Hmm... the only peaple I've opened up to are Psi and kpaca. As to what I've opened up about, well it is nothing too serious, since I am not a serious person. But more about my life, my stories, and my never ending insanity.
I swear to Joe Pesci that my answers are correct and honest.
that's really on a member by member basis. unfortunately, i often feel disappointed by other members, but this may be due to my tendency to hold others to the same high standards to which i hold myself.
i couldn't list 10 people without leaving half of my clan off, and, as those guys are (mostly) good friends in real life, i would be remiss in doing so. nevermind that there are at least 10 other MTGSers that i would want to continue associating with (including a huge shoutout to the "original" [499]).
over 3.5 years. what have i accomplished?
- likely ended more debate threads than any non-mod
- had pissed off people who have pissed me off worse than they got me (always a plus in my book; this may be the brooklyn in me coming through the intarwebs...)
- started one of the largest clans on MTGS
- a lot of stuff in my personal life, none of which is necessarily worth mentioning.
i like a lot of the members here, but i don't idolize any of them. i find it hard to idolize those younger than i am, which puts upwards of 95% of MTGS on the "not idolizing you, sorry" list.
i had a few serious discussions with some of the "original" [499] members; topics will not be repeated. obviously, i also have discussions with some of my clanmates, but those largely take place in real life.
this is a really weird question. i'm active here for three reasons: my clan, magic rumors, and QRG, in that order. so i guess i don't need anyone to satisfy those conditions. in addition, others' idiocy amuses me, and thus i am never disappointed in the internet.
honesty, yes. seriousness... me? that's a lot of hoping you're doing there...
The MirroCube - 420 card Mirrodin themed cube
And if I've offended you, I'm sorry, but maybe you need to be offended. But here's my apology and one more thing...
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them. what a loaded question.

I've never trusted anyone on here enough to tell them more than what I do for my profession and that I have aspirations of being a writer.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them.
Actual Truth:
seriously Psi, I thought we was friends???
5. Each and every one of us, as I have said, has surely gotten to know the other members of the board, maybe not all of them but at least a handful of them.
6. Have you ever really opened up to any one of your fellow members or should I say, your friends here? If so, might I ask what you opened up about? Sure, I've talked about a lot of personal stuff with my clanmates. I can remember at least two occasions when I was going through rough times with previous girlfriends, and chats on MSN with them helped me get a fresh perspective on things. As for the reason why I opened up... I guess countless hours of smart conversation made us closer than I thought I'd ever be with people I've yet to meet in person.
7. If you have to choose two people from this forum, who are the two people that you can honestly and say with full confidence that you can rely on them.
Sure.
